Dayu and Mita sat daydreaming in front of the treatment room. They were still thinking about the existence of the black-clothed man.
"Where is that father, huh?" Mayu broke the silence between them
"Any, huh? That father is gone." Mita was astonished.
"Yes, we don't know who he is yet." Dayu nodded.
"Eh, Yu. Look at the letter he loves. Is there an address there." asked Mita, "The father must have returned to the village."
Dayu took the letter from her shirt pocket, then opened it.
"She, Ta." Dayu shows the address. They stared at the handwriting inside the letter.
"I think I've heard the name of the village and the hamlet." Mita said, "Tang Ujung Village, Black Beringin hamlet. I heard where?" Mita tried to remember.
Dayu looked at Mita who was thinking.
"Where did you hear the name of the village?" ask Dayu.
"Ohhh, I don't remember." Mita gives up, she doesn't remember.
"I have to go to that village, Ta. Look at the house, if it's still nice, I'll take my mom to live there."
"Dead there? If you live there, what do you want to do? In the city alone it is difficult to find work, especially in the village." asked Mita.
"I don't know what job to do. If you already live there, I would know what work is there." reply Dayu, then look at Mita whose face turned sad.
"If you stay there, I don't have any more friends. I'm alone in this town." Mita's voice was sad.
Hearing Mita's words, Dayu became sad. They were silent for a moment.
"What if you stay with me, Ta?" Dayu.
Dayu doesn't want Mita alone in this town. Mita has no one else but her. Both of Mita's parents died together in a motorcycle accident. Like her, Mita is also an only child. The siblings of both his parents are deep in the interior. Both of Mita's parents never took Mita home, until Mita never knew about her brother.
Hearing Dayu's words, Mita looked at Dayu, with shining eyes.
"I can stay at your house, Yu?"
"Yeah." Yeah." Dayu nodded, smiling.
"Thank you, Yu." Mita hugs Dayu's body.
"Yes, Ta. We live together, right? Later, we'll find work there. What work is important. Hopefully, there's our sustenance there."
"Aamiin.." Mita's embrace grew tighter,
"When do we see that house?" Mita stretched out a hug and looked at Dayu.
Dayu thought for a moment.
"We need to find out about the village first." Mita picks up her phone from inside the backpack, which she always carries.
Dayu stared at the mobile phone with Mita who was looking for the keyword name of the village Paya Ujung.
"It's about five hours from here" Dayu said, his eyes staring at the writing on Mita's phone screen.
"Naaah, now we're looking for a ticket. Does anyone sell tickets there? Try, I'm looking for the bus ticket." Mita searched, after a while Mita found, "Some sell tickets at the terminal." Mita pointed to the search results.
"If five hours is not far away. Today, let's see my mother first. Later in the day we go to the terminal to buy tickets" said Dayu.
"Yes, Yu. We're going to the hospital to see your mother first." Mita nodded.
They got up together, then went to the hospital where Dayu's mother was treated.
Arriving at the hospital, Dayu sits next to her mother, while Mita waits outside the room. Mita is looking for complete information, about the village they will visit.
"The village has a lot of information, but the hamlet where the late Dadu lived is not there, huh? There is no name for the Black Beringin hamlet of the seven hamlets in the village." Mita murmured in wonder. He tried again, but the result was the same. There is no name of Black Beringin hamlet. Mita pensively thought about it, she had a bad feeling about the hamlet. But he wouldn't say it to Jayu. His friend looked very happy, to know that he would get a heritage house. After all, it also needs a place to stay.
I hope my hunch is wrong....
Mita spoke in her heart.
In the treatment room, Dayu told her mother.
"Mom, Dayu tomorrow with Mita going to Dad's village. Mayu got a inheritance from Dad's house." Dayu held her mother's hand, then stroked her slowly, "Dayu did not expect, Dad turns out there is a house in the village. Why Dad and Mom never told the same Dayu?" Jayu asked his mother. Seeing her mother's eyes still closed, Dayu smiled and realized that her mother would not be able to answer her question.
Suddenly, Mother Dayu's hand moved slowly. Seeing that movement, Dayu added tightly to hold her mother's hand. Her mother often made small movements, sometimes her eyes moved slowly, sometimes her hands and sometimes her feet. Maybe, that's the response from Dayu's words.
"Woodoo happy, Mom. We'll have another house. We won't move here again. No need to bother thinking about the rent money." Dayu's face beamed, then he also told about the mysterious black-clothed man.
Every speech Dayu reciprocated the slow movement of his mother's hand. Seeing that, Dayu grew up telling stories. She felt that her story about home made her mother happy. Almost two hours Dayu accompanied his mother, while telling stories. When Dayu was about to leave, Dayu's mother's hand tightly grasped Dayu's hand. As if I don't want to let go.
"Putty wood, Mom. After seeing the house, we'll stay there." Dayu tried to let go of his mother's grasp, but the grip was too strong, he did not want to hurt his mother's hand, if he pulled his hand strong, then he asked permission.
"Let's let Dayu go, Mum? Dayu can not pay the contract again, Dayu has not worked. Later, if we stay there, Mita comes along too. It must be exciting if the three of us live together."
Slowly, the hand of Dayu's mother stretched. And, Dayu let go of her hand. Before Dayu got up, kissed her mother's forehead. Suddenly, tears flowed down both cheeks of Dayu's mother.
"Why are you crying?" Dayu rubbed her mother's cheeks, "Dayu not long, Mom. Tomorrow Dayu departs, the journey is only five hours. If the business is quickly finished, Dayu dayu straight here." Dayu thought her mother was sad, because she would be left behind.
Dayu never knew, if her mother's cry was not sad, because of her departure. However, his mother did not want Dayu to the village where the house was located.
In one shadow, Dayu's mother's eyes opened and she said to her daughter
"Wood. It's not a place for you."
But, Dayu could not see that shadow.
