The next day, the four of them were having breakfast at the inn's restaurant while talking about the city of Cronna.
Claire ate her food and said, "Master, isn't this weird? The town of Cronna that the merchant said we met was in crisis but now it doesn't look like it."
Julian nodded and replied, "That's right, I also felt something hidden here."
The merchant they had met on the previous trip said that Cronna City was going through a crisis.
But now, they see that the city of Cronna is the same as the city in general. Nothing seems threatening.
The streets were smooth, the people were working as usual, the horse-drawn carriages, they did not reflect a city in crisis.
Julian therefore felt that there were two possibilities related to this.
First, the City of Cronna did not suffer a Crisis. The merchant they met might just want to scare Julian. But Julian felt that the trader had no benefit in doing so.
So he felt that this second possibility was right. The second possibility is that the City of Cronna government is hiding the crisis that is happening so that people do not worry.
"Nimi, Mine, can you get around town and find out what's going on?" ask Julian.
"Of course, Master!" Nimi pays military respects to Julian.
Mine did the same and said, "We've been waiting for this!"
Julian chuckled and said, "Good, if you want information or not, come back at noon."
"Good!" Nimi and Mine nodded and immediately finished their breakfast.
Then the two of them saluted the military again to Julian and suddenly disappeared from their place.
"Claire, go to the horse-drawn carriage and check what we need. I mingled with the locals for information as well" said Julian, who had finished his breakfast.
"Good, Master." Claire nodded.
Claire immediately went to the parking area of the horse carriage and checked their belongings then she recorded something necessary.
Julian took out a simple robe from the inventory and put it on. Then he got out of the restaurant and went to a crowded area.
Wearing a simple robe made the people who saw Julian think he was a poor man despite his handsome face.
"Is there anything in this world that can change a face? I'll ask the expert later," Julian's mind felt helpless.
Because he knew that the women around him often glanced at his handsome face even though he was wearing a simple robe.
Julian felt that his handsome face would be troublesome if he was on an undercover mission or something stealthy.
...----------------...
Meanwhile, Nimi and Mine are in a dark alley where delinquents gather here.
They didn't know where to go, so they decided to beat up the delinquents and get information from them.
"Ahh, who are you? Why are you beating us?" one of the men asked in a weak tone as he was already exhausted.
He and the surrounding friends were already battered as Nimi and Mine beat them up as soon as the two of them arrived.
The delinquents felt that Nimi and Mine were looking for trouble, they fought back vigorously seeing that Nimi and Mine were women.
But expectations do not match reality, on the delinquents beaten all out by Nimi and Mine to the point of not struggling which makes them wonder what their fault is.
"You're wrong because you're delinquents, but we both have no problem with you" Nimi said in a flat tone.
Mine smacked the man's face down and said in a cold tone, "Don't talk nonsense, you have no right to ask."
Nimi crouched down in front of the fallen man and asked him, "Say, is Cronna City facing something?"
Nimi decided to ask directly because he knew that this delinquent was stupid and would be difficult to answer if the question he asked was long-winded.
Beside him, Mine stood while holding the knife in both of his hands as a threat even though they would not kill these delinquents.
"I-I don't know what you mean! Cronna city was fine all along, no problems happened!" yelled the man.
"Nothing?" Nimi frowned.
"Hey! Are you telling me honestly?" Mine stared at the man so sharply that it frightened him.
"I-I swear! There's no point in me telling lies!" The man said with a trembling tone.
"How, Mine?" Nimi looked towards Mine.
"Wait a minute, I'll ask you one question. Hey, have you noticed any unusual happenings in Cronna City lately?" ask Mine to the man.
"Weird occurrence? Let me think for a second." The man closed his eyes and recalled whether there had been any strange happenings in Cronna City lately.
Nimi and Mine let the man remember. They stared at each other and could see the helplessness in each other's eyes for not finding any useful information.
Until, their eyes immediately lit up after hearing the man's next remark.
The man opened his eyes and said, "There's a strange occurrence that I myself also feel a little impossible."
"Say!" Nimi and Mine said simultaneously which made the man shocked.
"Lately, the news has always said the same thing, which is that one citizen disappears at night and it happens for more than a week."
"The top guys have already investigated this but there's still no clue as to why one person disappears every single night."
"Then, there are rumors in the community that the cause of people disappearing at night is because there are evil spirits who kidnap them to make sacrifices."
"Although there is no evidence, yet many people believe this rumor and until now, there has been no reason why people disappear every night."
The man was silent for a while to compose the right words, then he told the strange happenings in the City of Cronna lately.
Nimi and Mine frowned at them thinking that this had nothing to do with the crisis the merchant had said.
But they did not take this lightly because they vaguely sensed that something was going to happen related to this strange rumour information.
The two of them looked at each other and nodded, Mine raised his hand and hit the man on the nape of the neck with a force that made him faint.
After that, the two of them searched for other information elsewhere since it was still not noon yet.
...----------------...
In the position of Julian who was eating snacks on the roadside while listening to the chatter of the people behind him.
"Undead?" Julian frowned after hearing the strange information from the people behind him.
They said that there was a Lich who was watching Cronna City and made the Undead to prepare to attack this city.
"Whatever it is, let's focus on gathering as much information as possible. Then the information will be sorted out when it gathers later at noon," Julian's mind.
He finished his meal and immediately paid. Then he went somewhere else listening to the conversations people were talking about.
