I started typing the word color blind community in google search. I'm still stammered.


I started getting familiar with the internet a few months ago. Jamil who taught time tutoring in the past. In the city where Jamil lives there are many internet cafes. In the city where I live not yet


there was that moment.


“BUTA COLOR LIFE IS THAT”, That's the top word in the search engine


. Then I clicked it. There's some sort of logo that's swirling around. The term loading. I have to wait for a while before the view of the page that I am heading to is full on the screen.


Color Blind Life Is Like That


In the past, when we heard about


colorblindness, what came to my mind was a gray world like a black and white television. I don't think a few people think so. It was only at SMU that I realized that I was color blind too. I was surprised, especially my parents. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish colors. But I think it happened because of my less colorful treasury dictionary. I see this world in full color. So it never occurred to me that I was actually color blind. It was a little difficult to convince my parents that I could still distinguish colors, not total color blindness or monochromacy.


Many do not know that color blindness is of many kinds. Monochromacy is the rarest. One of the more detailed and scientific explanations can be seen in the Wikipedia article about Color Blindness.


I myself am a dichromacy protanopia sufferer, a dysfunction of one of the 3 major color receptors, in my case


it's a red color.
