Grey watched every move the palace healer made. The worried raut had not receded from Grey's face. How not to be surprised and panicked, after the funeral of the grandfather, Grey had to see Ivory who was lying weakly with a pale face on the bed. In the same instant, Grey ran in search of a healer and made sure Ivory's health was not bad. He wants Ivory to be okay.
“Queen should rest a lot and should not be exhausted.”
“What's the matter? What's the problem with his health?” ask Grey streak. Fear still lingered in his mind and did not want to move even a little.
The half-century-old female physician was over, smiling at the fear emanating on her king's face. He then rubbed Grey's right arm to calm the man down a little, though a hint of doubt was stored in the healer's mind to convey the joyous news that Ivory brought.
“The queen will be fine if she is not exhausted. He needs enough rest because there is a new life in the body of the queen Ivory.”
It took a few seconds for Grey to absorb the sentence the healer had uttered. Until he finally understood the meaning of the speech, and his worried look turned into an enthusiastic and happy look. “So, I'll be a father?”
The healer smiled and nodded in agreement to Grey's question. “Yes. Queen Ivory is pregnant with the successor to the throne of the kingdom Geogini.”
Grey's heart, which was originally covered by a fog of sadness and worry, is now warmed up and happy. He looked at Ivory who was no less surprised than him. Their beads were roaring and Grey could see the melts of tears flowing from the corners of Ivory's eyes.
Slowly, Grey steps up to the woman who has made her life perfect. He sat on the side of the bed and aligned himself with Ivory, wiping his mane and gently peeling his forehead.
“Thank you, has made this kingdom to be perfect.” whispered, then kiss Ivory lips with a duration long enough. Grey was truly happy after the grief enveloped his heart. The departure of the grandfather, now replaced by a new life candidate in the womb Ivory. His son-in-law, Geogini's future successor.
...***...
This day is so important to Grey and his people, or better to call it a happy day for all corners of Geogini.
In the center of government, the first steam train that will be a new transportation for all Geogini residents who want to travel far, was immediately inaugurated. King Harllotte has been working on this project for over twelve years, and see the results now? A large, round-headed train that smokes smoke from the chimney because the fuel used is coal. Several train cars made of iron and wood combined, as well as a special car to transport goods, the first train was ready to be inaugurated.
Grey who came with Ivory to cut the ribbon as a symbol of the release of the train will operate, looks so enthusiastic. The new King and Queen did not stop to review the friendly smile for their people who also looked so enthusiastic and happy to welcome the presence of a new means of transportation for them.
Ivory, who was pregnant young and still often felt nausea and severe dizziness that could come suddenly, pulled on Grey's arm and held firmly there. He only anticipates if things happen that he did not expect.
Currently, the two stood in front of a bone-white ribbon that stretched along the deserted road. Grey clasped the cutting tool to break the rope in front of him. Some wise tips have also been conveyed to all the people, in order to maintain and use the first train as well as possible.
A boisterous applause accompanied Grey's move to do his job today, inaugurating the train as a new transportation in Geogini that had been delayed.
The long ribbon hanging in the air was broken, along with Ivory who had fallen on the dusty ground barefoot. He fainted after enduring the dizziness that just suddenly came. No one realized Ivory was paling.
The atmosphere turned boisterous full of worry, especially Grey who was standing by Ivory's side. He did not expect at all if the woman who was carrying his lineage was in a bad condition.
Grey claps Ivory's head in his lap and pats Ivory on the cheek while saying his name. He hoped Ivory would open his eyes soon, but all hope was dashed, to no avail. The woman was still comfortable in a lockup until she had to be bopong by Grey one of the residents' settlements to receive help from healers who worked in the downtown area.
Throughout the healer's detailed examination of Ivory, Grey continued to hold Ivory's cold palms without taking off an item for a moment, wiping the cold sweat that had sprung up on the face of his beloved beautiful woman who was now turning pale.
The face of the healer who examined Ivory looked anxious and hesitant to convey the results of the health examination he had done against Ivory.
“How's queen Ivory doing?” tanya Grey demanded without wanting to cover up the worry too much to scare her.
“The queen's heart rate moves faster than normal pulse, her body shivers and fever, her body condition is weak. Did the queen do any strenuous activities before, king?”
Grey isn't sure, but Ivory's been with him since morning. Traveled to the inauguration place, and ended up fainting.
“No. She's been with me since morning.”
The doctor again examined Ivory's weak pulse. With a heavy heart he gave an explanation to Grey. “Health condition of queen Ivory, it is not possible to be able to continue to contain, your honor.”
Grey sharpened his dimly with wide eyes full of shock. He did not even suspect that Ivory was in a bad condition at the moment.
“If maintained, the life of the queen of Ivory will be her bet.”
The next explanation from the healer, made Grey freeze with a pushy look. Is that that bad?
“So I suggest, the noble content of the queen should be shed before the fetus has a life and make the health of the Ivory queen decreases which then endangers her safety.”
Grey was silent and speechless. He turned his gaze toward Ivory lying down. Staring at him grudgingly and worried matchless.
“The decision is in the hands of the noble king and queen. And I hope whatever the decision, it will be good for both of you.”
The healer left after concocting herbs that Ivory could consume after regaining consciousness later.
In a dilemma that has not subsided in Grey's head, Ivory opens her eyes, twitching several times to adjust the glare bias of the light that greets her pupils. A smile he presented as a greeting to Grey who looked angry. Then the nausea strikes again. Ivory got up and covered her mouth with both palms.
After the agonizing nausea subsided, Grey again laid Ivory down, forcing her to return to a comfortable position as Grey readied the heart to deliver a message that might make Ivory cry.
“Where is this, your honor?”
“Home one of the residents. You fainted.”
Ivory plays back all the events she remembers. His head suddenly turned, until his body was dazed, and did not remember anything. About like that which he managed to record and take from memory.
“How do you feel, queen?” grey asked startled the daydream, placed a palm on the top of Ivory's head and stroked it slowly down every strand of the woman's fine and beautiful hair.
“I'm fine, your majesty.”
Grey smiled, then gave Ivory a brief pee.
“What would you do if you had to give up someone so precious to you?”
Purposefully. Grey deliberately provoked Ivory's opinion with talks involving emotions later. He wanted to hear Ivory's willingness and wisdom about the message he was trying to convey.
“Why ask like that? Do you intend to leave me?” ivory claws with squeaking eyes as if she was looking at making sure of something.
Grey scoops up as much air as possible, then exhales it roughly. He tried to encourage the choices he dropped. Then, with the two misty beads, Grey spoke. “Your situation is not good.”
Ivory's smile was gone. This leg his face was squeaking really. “What do you mean, your majesty?” ivory's hand, come back. Get up from the bed and sit down.
Grey grabbed Ivory's palm and grasped it tightly. His face did not show any expression except for a wound he was still trying to hide. “We go home, and talk about this in the palace.”
...***...
The ladies are busy taking care of the weak-looking Ivory, until everything is done, they come out and let Grey into the room to meet the better-looking Ivory. Sitting in the same bed as Ivory, she pulls the woman into a hug to breathe in the soft scent of Ivory's hair she so loves.
“I love you.” an expression of taste becomes the opening topic Grey presents. She didn't want to say anything that would hurt Ivory's feelings, let alone make her cry.
“Say now, your majesty.”
Grey took a breath, holding him in a chest that felt so tight to accept reality.
“Your situation is not good.”
“I know. You said it earlier.”
Grey's heart was beating more chaotic than ever. A gray cloud began to fill her eyelids, and it was then that Grey took off a hug for Ivory, took both of the interlocutor's small shoulders for her to strengthen, and shone down Ivory's wry bead. There was no sadness beyond what he was feeling when the sentence whipped from his lips.
“That baby, you have to take it off.”
Instantly, Ivory's feelings were like being hit by a meteor and hit right in her heart. What exactly did her husband mean? Why is it that without rain or storm, Grey asks her to remove the fetus inside her womb?
Ivory laughs. Maybe Grey was joking around and testing his humor. “I know you're kidding—”
“I speak honestly. You have to take the baby off, or.or, your life is at stake.”
Try thinking? What part to believe about Grey's words? Ivory, who feels fine, should be surprised by the emphasis on letting her baby go, even before birth. Is that what Ivory should accept and do?
“Oh. I'll choose another option. I'm willing to trade myself for the baby that's in my stomach.”
Grey took off both clutches on Ivory's boat. His expression turned cold. He did not expect the answer he heard. In fact, Grey wants to take the baby off, then get it again if Ivory's health has improved and allows to return to pregnancy.
In contrast to Grey's perception, Ivory prefers babies in her womb, though she has to risk her entire life. That's what sparked Grey's anger. His jaw hardened, he stood away, making a distance with Ivory.
“No. Release him and we'll get him again after your health returns.”
Oh no, this is not going to end well. Grey seems to be getting emotional.
“Yang noble. I love him, more than myself.”
”My decision is still the same.”
Hearing the firmness of Grey's tone, Ivory bowed in disappointment. Her tears fell again in a pit of sadness that seemed to have no end. Reality hurt Ivory's feelings.
“Don't I also have rights over myself, your majesty the king?” ivory asked without any response Grey gave her. “Let me give priority to my rights and set aside others. I stick to my decision, I'll let him live.”
A large chunk of stone was thrown right at Grey and made his body not wrinkle.
“Good. Whatever your decision is. But you need to remember one thing,” Grey clenched tightly, his jaw hardened. He chose to be selfish by expressing a threat, hoping Ivory would change his desire to endanger his own safety. “Never come to see me, if you do not change the decision you made.”[]
Seriate.
