The little girl as tall as an adult's waist ran around the rose garden tirelessly. Running around the direction towards the slightly dark palace hallway, it then turned towards the stairs connecting the other passageways that were brighter and closer to his bedroom. The chasing ladies almost fainted out of breath and still could not stop the small red-shoe footsteps from stopping running.
“Daughter Reddyara, the king will scold you if running around like that. It's time you learn music with mistress Huppon.” said one of the babysitter ladies who look after Redd.
Reddyara Evera Geogini, six-year-old girl who started learning about Xylophone . The clear-eyed beautiful girl like her father smiled cheerfully, revealing her neat and clean rows of white teeth, clad in two adorable padlocked cheeks.
“What king will see me play Xylophone?” his tan was enthusiastic while jumping up and down small until his front bangs bounced cheerfully.
“The noble king will see your Xylophone game another time, princess. Currently, the king is doing his duty—”
“I don't want to if there's no king next to me.”
Tierre, who had worked for several years and had been a lady-in-waiting for Queen Ivory, could see much of the little girl's similarity to her mother. The two of them are both stubborn, and also always refuse if his wish to meet Grey does not materialize.
“Mr daughter, the king will accompany you to learn Xylophone if the job is sele—”
“Let me accompany him.” Grey said to surprise two presences who were arguing with their respective arguments.
Redd jumped up in excitement hearing his father's voice. But the sweet smile on the tiny lips of Cherry color faded when the scene that Redd said was very creepy, clearly visible on the look on the face of the father. Redd shuffled in fear and ran towards the father. Hugging both legs of a level that he cannot fully embrace as an appeal to get forgiveness.
“What noble will be mad at me because I am naughty?”
Silence Grey made his little daughter even more frightened. The grip is getting tighter.
“I'm sorry, your majesty.”
Grey suddenly nailed. The dark memories that had always haunted his mind for six years appeared once again.
Excuse me...
Instantly, Grey also felt like a spear stuck through the chest cavity. Ivory's apology never got an answer from her. The shackled regret tightened strongly, wrapped around every inch of his body invisibly. Grey whimpers pain in silence.
Then, he carried Redd to his room to negotiate something that was a secret for the two of them. Dayang Tierre left on Grey's orders. She wants to spend time together with the little girl she missed the last five days.
Arriving in the sunflower room, instead of being angry, Grey smiles to see Redd's innocence and cuteness. Then kneel down to align high with the princess only wayangnya very beautiful.
“Try saying, what deal do we make when there is no one?”
Redd put his lips closer to Grey's ears, whispering something that had been their agreement for the two of them since a few days ago. “Dad won't scold me right?”
Grey smiled gently. Swabbing the princess's honey-brown cheeks and mane, which of course always reminds Grey of someone, Ivory. The woman who was willing to exchange her life for a daughter as beautiful as Redd to be present to the world, replacing the happiness that had been lost carried away by the sadness of Ivory's departure. In fact, the butts did get a miracle about a great sacrifice, which was so meaningful.
“No. I won't scold you. But, promise me to dad, don't overwhelm Tierre's maids again.” Gray said. The little girl pursed her lips forward, her face bent wryly full of regret. “Appointment?” grey continued while thrusting his little finger in front of Redd's chest.
The small arm stretched out slowly as if not willing to make a deal that will take up his playing time. The little little pinky finger wrapped around the father's long pinky, and said. “Redd promises won't make Tierre's ladyboy trouble again.” murmured in a small barely audible voice in Grey's ears.
Grey stroked the beautiful mane along that shoulder once again. “Good girl.” compliments, making Redd look up staring at the features of the father, consider all already breakeven with a small deal. Not making Tierre's maids trouble anymore. “So, tell dad. Does Redd love dad?”
A nod of joyous passing became an answer that so warmed Grey's heart. “Then, does Redd also love mom?”
“Redd always love dad and mom.”
“Culf of father.”
Without saying much, Redd hugged Grey who was still wearing full royal clothes until the girl complained of pain when she accidentally got a badge on his shoulder. Grey is shocked and sees his little girl crying because her upper arm is bleeding.
For some reason, Grey's heart slipped. He wanted to cry in the same place as his daughter. Swiping blood as big as a corn seed with his thumb, then kissed attentively and affection right where the wound was. “I'm sorry dad, already hurt you.”
Redd was still crying in Grey's arms. He who is not good at taking care of small children, continues to try to make his daughter stop crying. Until one bitter memory returned in his mind. A short fairy tale Ivory asked him about the lucky one and the lucky one.
“Do you want me to read a fairy tale?”
Redd stopped crying. Although the remains of the sobbing were still clearly visible on his eyes and flushed nose, Redd nodded.
“Good. Sitting beside dad.”
Grey patted the side of the soft, bone-white bed, capturing the princess's body when the little girl had already managed to climb onto a bed no taller than her.
“Your mother once read this fairy tale to dad, and after that dad fell asleep.”
“Eumm...” replied Grey convincingly, even though all of that was just a lie he made. Ivory once told the tale when Grey tried to hate the woman desperately. “You hear?”
“Mau.” sahut spoiled Redd hoarse voice.
Grey rests Redd's head on his chest, rubbing the top to the end of the Mane which makes Redd look for a more comfortable place on the side of his chest.
“There are two people walking on a ladder. One woman is always lucky, and one man is always lucky.”
Grey holding tight.
“Tau what did the lucky one sacrifice for the lucky one to make his friend's life happier than his own?”
Redd shook his head, looking up to see his father's features that were right above his head.
“Si is lucky to give everything. Love, affection, and also his life.”
“Why?”
“Because the lucky one loves the lucky one sincerely.”
Redd is an active child. In addition, he is also smart and quick to respond to anything that reaches the ear and enters his brain.
“Then, at one point, the lucky one was facing a major dilemma in the course of his life. A weight choice he should choose.”
The whole story, pure by Grey Yohansen who never wanted to forgive his stupidity against the lucky lucky one. Grey glanced at his focused daughter, but his gaze seemed to be slowly weakening and snatched away by drowsiness.
“Si was lucky to take the unilateral decision to give a piece of diamond to the butts who at that time seemed so eager to have something that the lucky one had. But, the butt chose to be angry and no longer want to be friends with the lucky good-hearted after the lucky one gave what his friend had sincerely.”
“Si bad butts.” sahut Redd half conscious in his sleepiness.
Look, even a girl as small as Redd thinks it's all a crime. Yeah, Grey admits it. Acknowledge that he is a vile and evil person.
Where was his conscience at the time?
“Iya. He was so mean to the point that he regretted his entire life.”
“Then, what happened to the lucky one?” ask Redd.
Hearing the question coming out of Redd's lips, Grey hugged the tiny body, then kissed the top of the head several times. He sighed, trying to strengthen himself with the fairy tale he made to comfort his daughter who was saddened by being injured in her arms.
"The lucky one, he lives lost in trouble.”
Grey returns to look for his daughter's face, closing his eyes for a moment to accept the bitterness he has inflicted on the woman who has always been the source of his happiness.
“He suffered because the butts no longer cared about him. Choose to run away a piece of diamond given by the lucky one, and enjoy the happiness he got after replacing the diamond with many miles of gold.”
Redd tried to maintain consciousness, he blinked several times as if he was relieving drowsiness in both of the beautiful eyes that he had.
“Dad, I want to sleep.”
Grey smiled, rubbed Redd's head, then pinned a kiss on the top of the head of an apple. “Dad will take care of you while you sleep. So, sleep well.”
The sound of Redd's breathing was so regular, a smooth snoring was heard from his tiny lips that were slightly opened. Grey feels claustrophobic once again, Redd is really the incarnation of an Ivory. Is this the cruelty he once committed? Until nature and its contents never allowed him to forget Ivory for a second.
“Our son is very beautiful.” he murmured to himself. But he prefers to imagine Ivory sitting with them, then smiling warmly as Grey throws admiration compliments for his beloved daughter, Redd. “He's like you. No difference at all.”
Grey stared at the shadow of Ivory's imagination as he smiled at her.
“I love you, today, tomorrow, and so on.” []
