Joy: A Hope's

Joy: A Hope's
Chapter 12: Class Brother

Dawn had not yet dawned, but Joy had already woken up. Once in the morning the teenagers had already taken a bath and washed the dirty dishes the rest of them last night. They even cooked for breakfast.

It was common for Joy to wake up that early in the village. Santi managed to teach him not only about attitudes and behavior, but also about the kitchen and everything that includes it. He said that Joy could be independent when she was away from Santi's radiation.

Simple fried rice ala Joy is the right choice for breakfast.  One of Joy's favorite menus. Now presented and arranged neatly on the table.

A well-groomed teenager in a school uniform boiled water. Later it will be used to brew tea, as well as coffee for the father. When the water was boiling and Joy was about to brew two kinds of drinks, her hand accidentally nudged the tea that had just been brewed.

The glass sank for a while until it fell on the floor. Produces a loud noise.

Joy aghast. For a moment it freezes in place with a heart beat that crazes. God, what did he just do?

Realizing, the guy immediately bent down and cleaned up the broken glass that was divided into several small and large parts. Small blades that can not be reached by hand, Joy broom until completely clean. Fearless little invisible eels that hurt people later.

The noise made by Joy managed to wake Ari and Eros. The two men woke up with red eyes. The two throw one another a glance. Each frown rose on the forehead.

“What happened?” Eros asked, replying with a shoulder end by Ari.

Then Ari got out of bed. Eros is still collecting lives.

Ari glanced at Joy's bed. It's empty. His brother was awake.

Rubbing her eyes a few times, Ari stepped into the source of the voice. He found Joy who had cleaned the broken glass he made. Ari simply floated an expressionless gaze as their eyeballs collided.

The teenager looked at him worriedly. There was fear implied in both eyes. Until Ari pulled the corner of his lips curved upwards. The smile that managed to make Joy breathe a sigh of relief.

Walking closer to Joy, continued to gently rub the man's hair that was still slightly wet. “Udah. Don't be afraid. Brother is not angry,” he said calming.

Joy, who was worried, slowly carved a smile on her lips. “Still, Bang.”

But that smile did not last long. Change the look of a sad face with a bent head. Ari shriveled in confusion before hearing the words from Joy's lips.

“Sorry. Joy did not accidentally break the glass,” continued Joy full regret.

Ari let out a long sigh, trying to be patient. But he wasn't angry. “Yeah, Joy. Glass if broken can be replaced times,” rutuk Ari full of growls.

“What is this storm?” The two men looked at him. The silence created by a few seconds vanished by Eros' presence in their midst.

“This, Sir. Joy felt guilty for not accidentally breaking the glass even though Ari was not angry,” shootout the young man. Occasionally take turns staring at Joy and Eros while talking.

Eros did not respond to the explanation given by his eldest son. However, his gaze now turned to Joy behind Ari. There was no expression on his face and not a word came from his lips as he stared at the teenager.

The awkwardness hit for a while. Joy could only duck in fear. Dare not even look up if only faced with the cold look of Eros. It felt like Joy was twice as intimidated by that gaze as Ari's previous gaze.

“Breakfast. After that, Mr. Anterin to his school,” said Eros later. It just passed from the kitchen.

Joy was about to stop and give her the coffee she had just brewed. However, his intentions were intercepted by Ari. The slow pan given by the young man made Joy obey and undo the intention.

Joy could only wonder in her heart. Did he just make a fatal mistake to the point that Eros was so indifferent to him?

After breakfast - to be exact, only Joy had breakfast, while Ari and Eros only drank Joy-made coffee - the three of them went in unison. Eros and Joy share a common goal: Eros will take Joy to her new school. Ari wants to carry out her routine of work.

“Bapak anternya get here only. Login, late!” eros said as soon as they arrived in front of the school gate. His head peered into the school environment for a moment. Then switch to staring at Joy while muttering, “School is also crowded.”

Joy nodded briefly. Just now he was amazed by the interior of his new school building which is very magnificent and cool. For the first time Joy will attend a school with a two-story building. Not only that, the atmosphere of a shady school environment full of trees adds to the cool impression.

“Joy first, sir,” parted after greeting Eros hand. Then the teenager walked into the school environment with a cheerful smile on his face.

Eros only responded with a lazy murmur. The man did not immediately leave as soon as his son left him, but rather stared at the slowly distant back and disappeared from his sight.

Eros wants to call Joy again. He wanted to give the boy motivational words on his first day of school. However, for some reason his voice was chuckled in the throat as if someone was preventing him. In the end Eros chose silence. Keep staring in place before you get out of there. Only a rough breath could be heard.

Tight Eros feel in the chest. Eros felt there was a thick barrier that stretched the relationship between him and his son.

The first and second days of MOS were through Joy without any interruption. Everything's still fine. Arrive early at school, meet and then get acquainted with new friends, do activities commanded by their upperclassmen, up to several times get punishment from senior brothers for breaking the rules, and then, and then go home. That's Joy's two-day cycle of activity.

However, something is different today. The third or last day of MOS. Joy wakes up late because she's up late. Ari invites him to mabar until late at night, and the young man who laughs at him sees Joy in a hurry with a panicked look.

And this is where Joy ends. Stand in front of the flagpole respectfully - as punishment for being twenty minutes late.

The scorching sun made the teenager relentlessly commit to making the oath of absorbency directed at Ari. Because of that man, he was punished. If you knew maybe Joy would have been twice as punished. Fortunately, Eros returned to the village yesterday afternoon. He said there was still a lot of work he had left behind for a few days.

The sound of a break bell rang a few minutes ago, but Joy's punishment never ended. Joy was whipping, staring at the envy of her friends who were resting on the terrace of the corridor while drinking mineral water and eating snacks both those they bought in the cafeteria and those brought from home. Several times without realizing Joy gulped. Her dry throat was struggling to be satisfied.

Sensitive to Joy's condition, a senior came up to Joy from the side and offered her a bottle of mineral water.

“Make you.”

Joy turned her head as soon as she heard a soft-pitched voice. His first focus was a bottle sticking out toward him right in front of his eyes. Then turn to a beautiful girl who is slightly taller than him.

“You!” As surprised as Joy was, the girl rounded her eyeballs.

“So you went to school here?” ask the girl then after a startled session.

Smiling awkwardly Joy responds, “I-iya.”

Replied with a faint smile by the girl in front of him. Then a hand stuck out to Joy, while the bottle of mineral water turned to her left hand.

“Rani. Your senior is here,” he said introducing himself with a small oddity at the end.

Joy looked at the hand for a while then replied by extending her hand. “Joy,” said briefly still with an awkward smile.

“Ohya, here's drinking water. I noticed that you were thirsty.”

The bottle of drinking water came back to him after their handshake. With doubt Joy accepted it.

“Still.”

It is true that the world is so narrow. Who would have thought that Rani, Bang Ari's neighbor, was Joy's senior sister at school?
