Joy: A Hope's

Joy: A Hope's
Chapter 9: The Beginning of Everything

All forms of separation there is no such thing as happiness. It always ends sad, unpleasant. Farewell is always synonymous with tears. No one on this earth wants this to happen to them.

A farewell means you have to be ready to let go. Because separation is part of loss. Temporary loss, or forever loss.

Like the farewell that happened in this family. Santi could not stem the tears of sadness when the youngest son was also about to leave the village. After the departure of Ari, his eldest son migrated to the city, now it's Joy's turn to follow her brother to continue his education. Losing two of his favorite sons at once in the near future.

I don't think Santi wanted to let Joy go that day. Seeing the passenger car that came to pick up his son made his heart sliced and his chest throbbing pain. Stuffy. Somehow how to describe his heart again.

However, inevitably, Santi had to. Santi should be shaking. He cannot be selfish at the moment. The forcing state. Although in the end, he was also the one who would endure the desolation. Tom and Jerry, who always make a big house, are gone.

From the beginning Santi should have realized that when his two sons had grown up, they would have left him to change their fate. Struggling to lift their degrees. It does not end sadistically like the story and Eros first until to find a mouthful of rice must work hard.

The scattered mistake Eros and Santi made was when they chose to have a more serious relationship when they were still nobody. Choosing to live a family even when they are still dependent on parents. Not completely independent. Naturally, they could be said to be married young that time. However, the mistake seemed to be redeemed when they managed to send their children at least until they finished in the bench SMK.

A pride of its own again when one of its children achieves so often reap praise from the surrounding environment. Joy even from the beginning has raised her parents' degrees slowly even indirectly. However, the achievement he achieved managed to make two of his parents feel proud of him.

It's parked a car in the yard of Eros' house. The trunk was wide open, exposed upwards revealing its entrails. A driver next to the car had just stuffed one of the passengers into the trunk. The man, who was in his thirties, leaned to the side of the car. While holding his chest staring at the family drama in front of him that somehow over time made him participate.

“Mak, Joy departs, yes. Be careful at home. Don't work too hard. Do not lift heavy. Mama careful. Mamak must always be healthy,” said Joy say goodbye while giving encouragement to the woman who had not stopped shedding tears.

Santi without a word pulled Joy and carried the child in her arms. Still too heavy to take off that one kid. Besides being smart, Joy is also a good and obedient child. Although several times complained if asked, but the child will still carry out the tasks he ordered.

“Mamak don't cry dong. His son's time is about to go, anyway! What would Joy die for?” he said again trying to entertain.

Sontak Santi clapped behind Joy's back. I don't like the kid's jokes. “How come you're not funny!” his nag.

Joy only chuckles in response to Santi's words.

Then their hugs unraveled. Joy's attention is turned on Eros beside Santi. The man just kept quiet while watching the sad scene between the mother and the child.

“Pak, we leave?” he said make sure of that. The plan, Eros will take Joy to the city today and tomorrow just back here.

Santi is so cool that Eros takes Joy. The woman was afraid something might happen to Joy on the street. Because of this, Joy's first experience of the city.

The flat-faced man nodded after being silent for a while. “Come, depart.”

“Son, you be careful, yes, in the village of people. Don't be naughty and remain a humble child. Remember, there are both your parents who are waiting for your success in the village,” said Santi gave advice embraced by Joy with steady.

“Joy go, Mak,” great-grandson Joy that no one might hear. He waved his hand towards Santi, avenged so enthusiastically.

The car drove out of the yard leaving a distance between them. It slowly disappeared until it disappeared completely from Santi's sight. Santi's knee feels weak. Until when he was no longer strong enough to hold his weight, he fell into the ground.

“Greet your brother too!” santi continued to cry out to no one. Only the sweep of the wind then responded.

Bayu was also present there. However, the man rushed away as soon as his name was called by his parents. After saying goodbye to her best friend and a few other sentences, Bayu just left the yard of Joy's house.

And now, the man could only look at the departure of his friend from behind the window of the house. A meaningful smile thread rises on the lips. The smile that slowly turned into a small grin. Lost was the look of pity that he had emitted.

On top of the car, along the way Eros just silence. Joy glanced to the side. He was sitting next to the statue. There was no sign of Eros' life other than the blink of his eyeballs and the roar of his breath.

The man looked stiff and would only move when the car moved unsteadily as it passed through the broken and hollow road. I don't know what's weighing on the man's mind with that blank straight look ahead.

“Pak, why?” Joy opened her voice, breaking the man's daydream.

Eros turned his head with one eyebrow raised while muttering.

“Bapak what problem? Why just shut up from now on?” joy asked, unable to stem his curiosity anymore.

Such a soft voice. The tone of voice that always made Eros feel sinful once and did not have the heart for the child if he had to tell the truth to the child. The truth that might hurt Joy.

Then, Eros turned his face to the side, unable to hold back the point of tears that had now dripped down his cheeks. However, she expertly hid it by rubbing her face so roughly that it was faint in Joy's vision.

“Nothing. I'm fine,” said Eros in the end. Sit back up straight as before.

“Maybe your feelings alone,” he continued muttering.

The wrinkle in Joy's nose was clear. Like not believing his father's answer. Long enough the man pondered until he finally found a bright spot that seemed to be related to Eros' attitude today.
