JPO Jakarta - 2031

Today I was on the bridge staring at the bright moon. Why am I on the bridge ? Because I intend to end my life today. I committed suicide by jumping off a bridge.

The reason I killed myself was because I was frustrated. Today I was fired from my job. I've been devastated and now I'm unemployed.

I looked under the bridge. "Am I just jumping ?" Suddenly from the side I heard someone's voice.

"Hey !! Down ! You're really ya !!"

"Don't touch me ! I'm gonna jump !!"

I saw two policemen trying to calm down a man who was trying to kill himself. The man was crying while standing on the bridge pole.

"Ah I don't care... Just jump"

"Not just 1 or 2 days, but every day. What's wrong with you ?"

The two policemen shouted at the man on the bridge.

"I'm correct... Really do... I really h.... crushed !!!" The man was crying with tears rushing down like a waterfall. "Please save me..."

The man then came down from the bridge. After disembarking, the two policemen approached her and tried to calm her down.

When I saw that I thought, 'So this JPO bridge is a place where many people kill themselves every day. The world won't change if I jump. I have to go home tomorrow'.

I got off the bridge and walked home to get to the boarding house. Even though I feel bad, but suicide will not change anything in my life.

Right now I'm waiting for the green light to cross the street. I looked to the side and saw a schoolboy who was playing a mobile phone while putting a handset in his ear.

'Definitely fun. I envy you', my inner self.

After the green light started, the boy immediately crossed the street.

"Huh ? When did he realize it ? Hais.. kids today are great". I started crossing, but when I heard the sound of the car I stopped.

I saw that the car was going too fast. And if the car doesn't stop then the boy will be in danger.

"Nakkk !! Danger !!"

I ran and pushed the boy away from getting hit by a car. Even though I was the one who replaced that kid getting hit by a car.

I bounced 5 meters ahead, after the car hit me. At that moment the world instantly became black and dark.

"Gas ! Bagas ! Wake up Gas !"

I heard like a voice calling me. Surprisingly that voice sounded familiar in my ears.

Slowly I started to open my eyes, and the first thing I saw was a friend I had long missed.

'Faza ? Why did I see Faza ? Didn't I die in a car crash ? It's too real to be a dream'

"Hey Gas are you okay ?" said Faza who was worried about Bagas' situation.

'It turns out this isn't a dream'. Without a second thought I grabbed my friend's shoulder and shook it. "It turns out you're not dead ! You are not dead !"

"Hey Gas, why are you ?" Faza did not understand why Bagas suddenly hugged him.

I immediately let go of my hand. Then he said, "It's okay. I'm just glad you're okay".

"You're a Gas freak".

Faza had yet to understand why Bagas was acting so strangely. But clearly he was also happy to see Bagas who was okay.

Faza is Bagas' best friend. During elementary school. He always protected Bagas from the bulian of other children. For Bagas, Faza is the best friend of all time.

But strangely during high school. Bagas had no news from Faza anymore. The Bagas and Faza schools were different because Bagas was a fool so he could not one school with Faza.

I held onto Faza's shoulder and said, "Faza, this time I promise I will change to protect you !"

Faza was shocked when he heard that from Bagas. He looked at the look in Bagas' eyes that were filled with confidence, unlike the usual dark and unconfident look in his eyes.

"Hahaha... Did you eat until you could say that ?" Faza embraced Bagas with his hands while polishing Bagas' head casually.

"Hey I'm not kidding. This time I'll protect you !" I tried to convince him that my words were no joke.

"Yes yes, I believe you !" said Faza with a carefree tone.

'Even though you only think of it as a joke, but I promise this time it will be different from my old life', my inner self.
