Sacred Snake

The three of us went to the cave that said holy serpent, where an old man was sitting quietly and closed his eyes. Is it possible that grandfather was the guardian of this cave? my thinking.

"Sorry, excuse me." I said as the three of us were in the mouth of the cave.

The old man slowly opened his eyes, smiling at us. "Please son, if you want to see the sacred serpent".

"Can we go in the cake?"

"Please, do not be afraid, the snake here is tame" said the grandfather reassuring.

The three of us went into the cave, it was dark and damp. But the sunlight can still enter, because we are not far from the mouth of the cave.

Next to my grandfather was a snake. This sacred snake has a color blend of black and white. The body shape of this snake is different from that of an ordinary snake. The tail is flat. This form is commonly found in sea snake species. The thread is not too big, it is coiling near the rock.

"The "holy snake in Tanah Lot is no ordinary snake. By the people of Bali, the snake is considered a sacred snake. In fact, his existence was one of the existence guard figures from Tanah Lot. "Cake really? can this snake be touched?" my many.

After listening to Grandfather's explanation, convincing me to touch the snake. I stretched out my hand, very slowly, afraid that this sacred serpent would be disturbed by my touch.

Until finally my hand formed this part of the body of the scaly snake. The snake was silent and there was no reaction. I pulled back my hand and looked at the grandfather, the big brother just smiled.

"It's not dangerous, the snake is silent. Would you like to try it Sil?"

"I don't dare Raka"

"No papa, just try. Your friend tried it and nothing happened". Grandpa tried to convince Sesil.

"Yes Sil, even the snake is not moving at all" I said. Alice who was there was glaring, she hinted that Sesil should not touch the snake. But I ignored it. It is safe, no one has ever been bitten.

"Alright, I'll try to touch her" Sesil stretched out his hand in doubt and trembled slightly.

Sesil's hand touched the body of this sacred serpent. This snake just sits there. But suddenly the snake moved quickly and clasped Sesil's hand "Aaaaggghhhh...."

I quickly pulled his hand. And support his body, for Sesil moves backwards.

"It's all because of you Raka, I told you it's not necessary" Alice, who had just been silently watching me yell. "Hurry and help Sesil get out of here".

I took Sesil out of that cave. Alice followed us. "Lay him on that rock"

I obeyed Alice's orders, guilt bubbling in my heart. Again, I put Sesil in danger for what I did. Sesil's face was pale, sweat pouring down his forehead and temples.

"Alice how is this? I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I felt like my tears were gonna spill right then and there. Alice sat down next to Sesil, extending her two hands into the hand of Sesil who was bitten by the snake.

"Please hold on. Alice, let's get Sesil to the hospital" I have tears in my eyes. I don't want to lose Sesil back.

"Wouldn't have had time, could this snake be so terrible. Now is not the time to cry. Hurry up and meet the old man. Ask how to handle this". Alice said still with her cynical tone.

I immediately ran to obey Alice's orders, going back to the cave to ask for grandfather's instructions.

But when he got to the cave, no one was there. I ran to and fro looking for the whereabouts of the old grandfather, no one. Even the snake that had bitten Sesil was not in its place.

"Aaaahhhhhh" I cried out in frustration rattling my hair. Where did grandpa go?

I decided to go back to where Sesil and Alice were. "Alice, the grandfather and the snake were not there". I saw Alice still in her position as before and closed her eyes.

Alice did not answer, I observed her movements. A purplish-red light shot out from his palm. The light was radiating into the hands of Sesil who was wounded by the snake bite. My hand now holds Sesil's hand tightly, I hope it can give him strength to endure. I wipe the sweat dripping on his temple. Please hold on Sil....

Not long after, Sesil's face gradually improved, showing red curls back, not pale as before, it seemed like Alice had succeeded.

"Ohhukkk.." Alice coughed out fresh blood from her mouth.

"Alice-" I said. I immediately shifted to where Alice was sitting.

Alice opened her eyes, "It can't be an ordinary snake, it's very poisonous. If it's just a sacred snake like old man said. I can't have gotten this way".

"What do you mean Alice?" I said confused by Alice's explanation.

"The switch didn't seem to come from the earth, it took a lot of energy to stop the poison. Looks like something's wrong. Sesil has been wretched lately"

"You're right Alice, I'm thinking the same thing as you. And again the grandfather and the snake disappeared".

"Which creatures can fool me? I didn't even feel any weirdness about Grandpa. He can be very good at hiding his aura, changing his aura like a human being in general" Alice said.

"I don't understand Alice either, but from now on we have to be more careful. I will always be on the other side. Even though I can't help much".

"No need, you stay away from Sesil. I can take care of it myself".

"When you're on Sesil's side, Sesil can hurt Alice. You can't detect it, right? So, we better work together. The most important thing is the safety of Sesil. I'll take care of him, too, even if my life is at stake".

Alice was silent, she seemed to be thinking. "Alright, I agree, I hold your word Raka".

"Raka... Alice.." -..." Sesil woke up, whether he heard me or not.

Sesil is always in danger. Who really wants to harm him?
