Before long, the door of the room opened. Doctor Bima came out with a forehead filled with sweat, he stared at Kirana's trembling back at this moment. He walked over and patted the woman on the shoulder, making her look up straight away.
"Doctor, how's my mother doing?" Ask Kirana lirih.
"Sorry Kiran, we're late. Your mother is dead, her pulse is no longer there." Reply doctor Bima no less clear. Kirana looked at Doctor Bima with her sad face with round eyes but before long she was limp and unconscious. Luckily, Bima's doctor quickly caught Kirana's body, then took her to another room to handle.
Doctor Bima looked at Kirana's face with mixed feelings, his heart also felt pain because several months he was handling his mother Kirana. As far as it is also she feels close to the figure of Kirana, but indeed she admits her feelings for Kirana are not just on the daughter of her patients but rather want to have.
Doctor Bima laid Kirana's weak body in the hospital gurney, then gave her eucalyptus oil in her nose, but it was useless. Since she was still unconscious as well, the pain of losing her only most precious person made Kirana unable to get up that fast.
Kirana was standing in a very bright room, an all-white room. The woman was confused, where is she at this time? A place so unfamiliar with the soothing breeze, blow a little of her hair back.
"Ma, is mama here?" Kirana asked quietly, as there was a shadow approaching her direction. But nil, no answer, only silence that accompanies him.
"This place is so soothing, but where is this?" Kirana muttered again, she smiled as she looked at the chair with a flower garden filled with many types of flowers and butterflies that flew freely.
"It's beautiful in this place, but all the flowers are white. Butterflies too, all white, no other colors here."
"Kira..." Calling someone from behind, his familiar voice made him turn his head. She smiled as she saw her mother walking closer, but her feet did not step on the ground, floating. At first glance it looks like being blown by the wind, he also wears all-white clothes, his facial features look calm.
"Mama here?"
"Yes son, this is Mama's new place. Mama's here to apologize to you. Mama can't make you happy like other parents, I'm sorry I'm too late right now." Her speech with a different-looking smile, gave Kirana goosebumps.
"What did Mama say? Why do you always apologize? Mama is innocent of any kind to Kiran, all Kiran does is duty Kiran as a child to her parents." Kirana replied, she wanted to hold her mother's hand, but quickly her mother inched backwards.
"Go, son, our world is different. Mama just wanted to say that she loves you so much, I'm sorry you had to leave, leave you alone. Promise me you'll have to live well even without Mama."
"Ma, don't go. Don't stay with Kiran alone Ma, Kirana is afraid to live without Mama." Kirana said, but the mother shook her head, slowly her mother began to drift away in the wind.
"Mama will see you from another realm, you must live well. Go, there's a man waiting for you with worry. The man who will take care of you son, Mama said yes. Be strong, you have to be strong to face all this, don't cry so that you can be calm in your resting place."
"You're the son that you're proud of, happy son." Her speech then disappeared as if flying carried by the wind, Kirana shouted to her mother, but there was no answer just the rumbling of the wind that came and flew the white flowers, making Kirana cover her face, Kirana covered her face, screaming calling her mother.
"Kiran, I'm sure you're a good boy, you deserve to be happy." The faint-hearted voice sounded from her mother, but the voice slowly dissipated in the wind.
"Yesinya..." Kirana woke up from her sleep, she rubbed her sweaty face.
"Are you awake, baby?" Asked a man with her worried tone, making Kirana glance at him. The man she had expected her presence was now standing upright in front of her.
"Darling, you're okay, right?" Jeffran grabbed Kirana's body into his embrace, leaning the woman's face on her stomach. Jeff also gently rubbed the top of Kirana's head, especially after seeing Kirana who looked dazed and only silent with a straight forward gaze.
"Why are you here, sir?"
"I'm worried about you baby, I'm sure you need my shoulder to lean on." Jeff replied, hearing the man's answer made Kirana duck, from earlier held back her crying so as not to explode she did not want to look weak in front of the man, but this time she could no longer stem it, her tears slowly drenching her cheeks.
"Thank you for coming at the right time." Kirana said softly, making Jeff smile. She raised Kirana's chin, made her pretty face look up at Jeff's handsome face, the man smiled then shook his head slowly.
"Want to cry? Cry baby, cry in my arms." Jeffran spread his arms, making kirana slash into Jeff's arms and cry as she was, she forgot the man's status.
Right now she wanted to cry in the man's arms, crying to vent all her pain. Jeff got carried away, he was almost teary but no, he had to be strong to calm the woman. If he is weak, what about Kirana? That's what's on his mind right now.
Kirana cried bitterly in Jeff's warm embrace, the woman was stunned, making Jeff heartless, he tightened his embrace on Kirana's head. Let the woman cry in her arms, until she feels calm. Losing is indeed the most painful thing, let alone losing the figure of the mother.
After quite a while, Kirana stopped her crying but she was still as unwilling. Jeff framed Kirana's face and wiped her tears with his fingers.
"Have you felt better, dear?" Kirana nodded slowly.
"Well, you're strong, right? Let's take care of your mother's funeral, she can't stay here long."
"But.."
"You must be sincere, dear, loss is painful. But this is fate, where there is life there is death. We can't avoid it, baby. That's the one thing that's absolute, we can't change." Clearly Jeff, he gently rubbed Kirana's face that was covered in tears.
"I'm not sure I'll be strong enough to see all this."
"Mr-mister promised?"
"Yes, I promise." Jeff replied, he put on a sweet smile and then kissed Kirana's forehead.
"Let's take care of everything, look after your mother."
"But I haven't prepared anything yet, I haven't even informed the people nearby to prepare Mama's final resting place." He had not done anything, yesterday after hearing the news of his mother's departure he was immediately unconscious.
"I've prepared it, I've also informed your relatives and neighbors about the passing of your dear mother, no need to worry."
"Don't be dumb, baby, let's quickly take your mother to her final resting place." Take Jeff, his hands outstretched to take Kirana away. Without hesitation, the woman accepted Jeff's helping hand and walked side by side with the man.
"Your mother's already in the ambulance, I've also taken care of her according to protocol, also bought her crate."
"That far?" Kirana asked, she glanced at Jeff at a glance and after seeing the man nod, Kirana felt even more guilty for already bothering the man who in fact was a nobody.
Jeff pulled Kirana into his car, inside there was already a Mr. Amar who had been waiting for their arrival.
"I'm so sorry, Miss." Said Mr. Amar, as soon as Kirana entered the car.
"Yes, thank you sir." Kirana replied slowly, although still feeling unacceptable with what happened, but how else? True said Jeff earlier, all the destiny and life cycle that can not change even though we want it, death remains a sure thing.
Jeff hugged Kirana's shoulder, also clasping the woman's hand which felt cold and sweaty.
"You have to be strong, you don't want your mom to be quiet in there, do you?" Kirana reflexively shook her head.
"Then you must be strong. Your mother will be sad to see you continue to cry for her departure."
"Can I, sir?" Kirana asked, she doubted if she could watch her mother being put into a burrow without crying?
"If you can't, at least you should be able to control yourself to stay conscious." Jeff replied, he leaned Kirana's head against his chest. Kirana closed her eyes, in fact Jeff's embrace was so soothing and comfortable.
Briefly, the motorcade arrived at the Kirana regional cemetery. The woman came down and was immediately welcomed by the mothers of her neighbors. They were crying, how not? During this time Ibu Nita was known well and friendly.
"We are sorry, Kiran" said her neighbor and hugged Riana.
"Yes Bi, thank you."
"Your mother's a good person, must have gotten the best place too." Kirana nodded her head, she was sure her mother would get a place close to her, because indeed her mother was a good person.
The men huddled together, helping to lift the chest from the ambulance, Jeff was no exception. He even came down to make sure the size of his crate fit, making Kirana limp. But as quickly as he remembered Jeff's words, he had to be strong, at least able to control himself to stay sober.
"Ma-ma.." Lirih Kirana when she saw the chest containing her mother's corpse began to be lowered, Kirana could not help but cry. Luckily Jeff came quickly and hugged Kirana, to calm down a bit.
"Control yourself, baby.." Jeff hugged Kirana while rubbing his back. Until the last moment he saw the burrow began to be piled by the ground.
Kirana cried again, she covered her mouth with both hands, while Jeff continued to rub the woman's back. But all of it was very painful, until finally Kirana was unsteady and almost fell if Jeff did not hold his body.
"Darling, wake up.."
"Sir, you better take Kirana home."
"Alright, but please get this over with."
"Of course, Nita's mother we think of as family." Jeff nodded, then left while holding Kirana bridal style
