4. MOM'S PROMISE

No clattering of metal, no two plates on the table, no fish bags are always taken home. Vasco has not returned. Bellena's worried not a bitch.

He peeked out through the window of the house repeatedly, but not a single person was found on the village street. A moment later, someone knocked on his door. Without needing to guess, he immediately invited. Unfortunately, what came was not what was expected. Instead, four soldiers brought news from the royal palace.

His mind was instantly muddled. Bellena was forced to empty the entire box of the various possessions she owned. His goal was none other than to free Vasco from prison.

"Only 400 stones and 2 gold necklaces?" carruso asked after Ned the treasurer had told him the number.

Bellena hesitated. He was afraid that the amount would not be enough to buy the rights back.

"How about one fish sack?" hail the man.

"We only have 2 sacks to sell, Your Majesty."

"Well, if that's your decision, Mrs Bellena. Actually you just choose. Keep your wares and go home to live alone, or will the brave boy come back by letting go of a sack of your wares?"

Certainly not a new thing Bellena faced a choice that both were equally expected. Funny thing is, the choice seems to always be present in his life. Bellena had to be quiet long enough to make up her mind.

"I want Vasco back."

Hearing that answer, Carruso smiled happily. There is no point in keeping the child even if it waits until he is mushroomed in the bars.

"Take the fish sack over here!" the king told his soldiers.

Behind Bellena, the boy continued to chase after her. He tries to align his small steps with the woman in front of him. Every now and then, he whines and calls his mother. However, there was no response at all.

The full moon refused to constantly light up the walking little captain who had accidentally crushed the mother's heart. The bright light now chooses to hide behind the thick mega blobs that night. However, lanterns are not able to replace the full moonlight. Sometimes some are extinguished due to fuel that has been swallowed by the fire.

"Lake in!" bellena orders, then closes the door in slight annoyance. "Sit down!" Meanwhile, himself was still standing while shaking his waist. Vasco who felt he was being judged finally bowed down.

"I've repeatedly told you not to bring a knife out of the house. You don't need it. Look, Vasco!" Bellena pointed her index finger at the rest of the trading sack that was lying on the floor.

"We only have that and this house. If until tomorrow the income is not enough, we are forced to hold hunger for several days. That's the impact, Vasco. The impact of us against the king's policy which is clearly man is crazy treasure. You should know that. Don't be a fool to fight with someone who has no heart. Just a waste of time."

The boy looked at himself. Looking at his feet that no longer had footwear. Eating is still difficult. It was like a very torturous dream.

As with the night, the morning is not as bright as when the sunlight pounding on the eastern horizon. But the livestock that woke him up with each other. Vasco took a sitting position after his eyes were completely wide open. Although the atmosphere of the village is crowded, but different from his house full of silence.

"Mother?"

There's no answer. Vasco moved and searched the entire house. From room to room, kitchen to toilet, and backyard. As a result, there was no one, except for the door that was locked from the outside. The boy ran to check the other door in front. The answer is the same if he asks. The door can't be opened.

Could it be that the woman he loved so dearly left without a greeting? Is this a reply for him? Last night Bellena was worried about finding Vasco and now it's the opposite.

From the top of the attic, Vasco found a fishy and foul smell mixed in. Slum tents in front of the houses began to be crowded with a sea of people, both from the country Marinaisse itself and foreign traders who deliberately stopped here.

Despite all that, Vasco will accept the reality. Whatever the shape. Maybe Bellena left because she was disappointed to have a bad boy like Vasco.

Bruk!

Women who are now wearing shirts and loose pants put a box containing equipment that is usually used when going to sea. Of course, Bill was surprised not to play to see Bellena who suddenly confronted him when he was about to get on the ship.

"I'm coming with you."

Bill raised one eyebrow and was blown right in front of Bellena's face.

"Come with me?" bill doesn't believe it.

"Y-yeah," she replied a little uncertain. "Vasco I'm stopping the house."

"You mean you locked her up?"

"Exactly. Now quickly bring this stuff upstairs."

When Bellena was on the deck, the bearded man asked, "Then what's the point of you coming to sea with me?"

"Catching fish. Especially?"

"Women know what?"

"Hey hey heiii..." Bellena stepped forward to the point where she confronted Bill. "You don't think women can do men's work? Huh yeah?"

"Ahahaha.not that way. It's just that you're dealing with buyers every day and now-"

"Hurry, Bill! We'll go first to another ship" Bellena said back into the ship before moving away from port.

This was the first time Bellena had sailed. He never left the village to seek the wind. The responsibility is not fully addressed if the eyes are still open. However, for this he went on to replace the role of Vasco. As a mother who does not want her baby to be trapped in a trap again, then she locked him up.

It wasn't just Bellena who did it to her son. Almost all parents in Marinaisse punish children in this way. Although sometimes, the punished feel very depressed. The old way indeed. How not? They lived before major wars took place on earth, such as World War I.

From the control room, Bill observes Bellena daydreaming on the edge of the ship. Usually, people who have just boarded a sea vehicle will feel dizzy, if their eyes collide with the surface of the water as if walking. The other is with Bellena. His two neutrals did not really see the water, but rather saw his own thoughts.

This scene was the same as what Bill had seen the previous day. Where Vasco stood on the edge of the ship while looking down.

After directing his ship to the point where they were going to hunt for fish, Bill got down from his control room. He threw anchors into the sea and prepared to spread the net as a trap.

The woman did not really replace Vasco. Until Bill finished, Bellena's legs were still firmly supporting her body at the same point. He did not do what was supposed to be his duty. Bill's obligation to rule Bellena was eventually hampered as well, because the man was not in the mood for his current condition. Although the news was not heard to all the ears of the villagers, but Bill learned that last night Vasco was sentenced to prison by the nobility.
