The end of the year holiday is over. Randi and I were accepted into SMAN Leuwi Goong. Our classes are still different. Bu Nita and Pak Daud are still in Cirebon. The process of moving Mr. David's work from Cirebon to Garut is still not done, he said next month.
Today is our first day of school. Randi and I can be calmer now, because to go to school, we just cross the street. SMAN Leuwi Goong from the courtyard of the house is also visible. Even the school entrance bell from home was also heard.
Randi and I can help with the preparation of the sun school. Even though they can be independent, still they must be reminded, 'Let's take a shower', 'Don't take too long to eat breakfast', 'Wear the neat clothes ya', such messages should be echoed by Mak, me and Randi. When they hear the message, their movement automatically becomes faster. But if they were left without that reminder message, maybe at 06:30 like this they still haven't had a bath.
"Come, are you all ready?" Randi prepared an army of sun children.
"Ready, Brother." They say they are ready. Their voices are so loud. Mr. Samsudin smiled proudly. Mak wiped the tears with the end of his veil. So happy that both of our parents let the children go to school.
"Let's go, say bismillah and do'a out of the house, then kiss Mak and Sam's hands." The kids follow my orders. They took turns kissing hands on Mak and Mr. Sam.
"We're leaving, Mom, sir. Please pray for it." The last person to kiss Mak and Sam's hands was me. I rubbed my head gently.
"The first antar the children. Later if they're used to it, they can be removed." That's Mak's message. I'm nodding.
Randi and I drove the kids to their school gates. Only then did Randi and I head to our school.
There's something special. Even though Randi and I are new students, it turns out that all the teachers at our new school already know us. During the opening ceremony of Student Orientation Period activities, Mr. Headmaster called us ahead.
"Kids, these two friends of yours may be an inspiration to all of you. At such a young age, they had already done so much good, they had twenty foster children. They had even reunited a child with his birth mother, who had been separated for eight years." A boisterous applause from the participants of the ceremony, be it our students or teachers.
"Wil, how did the Headmaster know?" Asked Randi while elbowing my arm.
"No idea, Ran. I was astonished too. Word of mouth."
"You ever, ever put it in WA status?" Randi's eyes were slipping. I held back a smile. I know exactly Randi was just kidding. Because Randi knows that I'm an allergic person with status pairs in WA. Even if I put it in my WA status, the headmaster and teachers here still will not see my status, they do not have my contact number. Ah Randi base, he really likes to make my hands want to move around tickling his waist.
"You guys, please get back in line. At recess, meet the father in the teacher's room." The headmaster told us to get back in line. We according.
Today's activities, are introductions to homeroom, and introductions between students. Then later in the day after the break there is Wiyata Mandala Insight material.
As the headmaster asked, during the break, we met him in the teacher's room.
"Let's sit down." The headmaster asked us to sit in front of him, our distance was blocked by the guest table. In this teacher room there was a set of sofas. It might be reserved for guests who come to this teacher's room. For example, parents or guardians of students. The one sitting in this guest chair was not just the headmaster. Next to him were three teachers we did not know.
"Well, this is Pa Agus IPS teacher, this is Bu Intan IPA teacher, and this is Bu Ai math teacher." The headmaster introduced three teachers who accompanied him. We smiled while nodding our heads.
Randi gave the code that just explained me.
"O yes, Pa. They're our sisters. They lived in the Leuwi Panjang Terminal. Now thank God we can gather in our house. Please pray, Pa. Also to the mother and father of the teacher, please pray." I ask this noble people who are before me. They are my parents at this school.
It was fortunate that the headmaster only nodded in acceptance of my brief explanation. Try if the headmaster asks more details about the story of the children of the sun, of course the time will be long enough for me and Randi explained everything.
"Oh so yeah. Well now, let's go ahead, Miss Intan, she said she wanted to say something." The headmaster invited Ms. Intan to talk.
"Oh yeah, look, Wil, Ran. May not we, namely the mother and some fellow teachers here, help you in the struggle to raise the children of the sun? Suppose the form of giving tutoring. Of course without having to pay anything alias free." I'm stunned, Randi too. How Great is the Power of God. Even the people we just knew God had moved to love our brothers.
I can't answer yet, I'm still confused to express gratitude in this heart. Good thing Randi understands how I feel. Randi told me to answer,
"God thank you, mother and father of all, we are sorry."
Mother Intan smiled, she commented,
"You yeah. Even a child, the language is like an adult. This must be because you are already the father of twenty children of the sun." Gerr's... These good people in front of us laughed all over, so we laughed too. Our teachers are amazing, well, they like to joke too.
"Yes already, later Ms. Intan and friends will have further discussions about the tutoring schedule and others. But of course not today. Tomorrow or the day after. Now you're back in class." The principal closed our conversation. We kissed everyone's hands, then went back to class.
In my class, my friends are still sitting around. Most are trying to get to know each other.
"Well, here's our role model. Your name is Wildan, right? I'm Satria." Someone named Satria extended her hand to greet me.
"Eh guys, we'll just raise Wildan to the Class Chair." Satria proposes to all the members of the class.
"Yes right. I agree."
"Okay, agreed."
"good. The right choice."
"match it." All members of the compact class replied in the same tone. From their enthusiastic answers, I could deduce that my friends were good people. Today I am truly a lucky person and one who should be grateful. But for a moment, there was apparently one person in the back corner of the classroom who was looking at me with a strange look. There was a bit of hatred in his eyes. She was a girl, who was just silent, not commenting anything.
