Lawyer And Boss Miras

Lawyer And Boss Miras
Suspicions

That night, Jay is prevented from returning to Asia Town by his father. He was invited to a dinner event attended by conglomerates at a five-star hotel.

The regular meetings were attended by dozens of successful entrepreneurs scattered across America. Not only from among the natives, Asians who are declared successful in doing business in America are also invited there.

Jay remembers the first time he was invited and instead told his father to represent him because he was afraid of not being treated well. During several meetings, the father represented him. But he can't let Jay just hide behind his status as an American.

Exactly seven years ago, when Jay started attending that meeting. As he was worried, he was not treated well enough. No one wants to talk to him or just come closer. Jay ends up at a table in the corner and eats the waffle himself.

But those days have passed. His existence is now recognized. Jay's status as an Asian was ruled out. It is the fruit of his own success.

Currently Jay and his father are enjoying a salad dish. Today Jay is not interested in partying.

In his head now only thought about how his new family was in Asia Town. Aunt Kim's shop today is closed so she has plenty of time to babysit Noah. While Dara as usual had to go to the office to prepare the files for the next trial.

Tonight the three of them may have gathered at home. The thought that disturbed Jay, he actually did not want to miss those moments.

"Jay, what's bothering you?" bill asked when he realized that the adopted son looked a little dreamy.

"Nothing." Jay lied. He returned to scooping the vegetable salad into his mulud. I haven't eaten such expensive food in a long time.

"I know you're thinking about something" Bill said. He still stared intensely at the son.

Jay sighed, reaching for a glass of water that was placed next to his salad. The man then gulped it down to smooth the way of food into his stomach.

"Actually, I found something in my rescue in Asia Town" Jay said. The father seemed enthusiastic about what Jay would say.

"There is a price monopoly that is very detrimental to the workers there," Jay continued.

"What's? Who did that?" ask Bill curious. Actually the response was expected by Jay's head. Even if it is true that the father does a price monopoly, he will certainly be surprised and act as if he does not know in front of Jay.

"I'm just gonna find out."

"Why do you bother to find out for yourself, if you can order Chris or another employee to do it?" Bill argued. Anxious look was clearly drawn on his face.

"I wouldn't be relieved if I didn't find out for myself" Jay replied.

"Do you need dad's help?" ask Bill. Jay was silent for a moment, he had to devise a plan as quickly as possible.

"Yes" Jay answered.

"What should you do?"

"I want you to do nothing. Just stay where you are and see how I work."

The corner of Bill's lips lifted, he smiled proudly at the son.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Dara and Aunt Kim were sitting on the back porch that night. Noah had slept in his room, while Dara could not sleep because he was anxious to wait for Jay's return. Aunt Kim also intends to stay there if Jay does not come home.

"Because, Jay's back isn't he?" ask Aunt Kim.

Dara whose heart is filled with prejudice does not want to be provoked. He took a breath to calm himself.

"Why did my aunt ask that?"

"Jay said he had a fight with his uncle. Before this Jay worked with him, but because of the quarrel Jay decided to leave and lost his job. If today they meet and make up, isn't it possible that Jay chose to go back to his uncle?" aunt Kim said.

Dara just fell silent, her heart was now turbulent. He can't lose Jay just overnight, can he? Come on, they're even getting closer and last night was the culmination of their closeness.

Dara seems stupid because he did not consider if there is a bad possibility that will come. He was just carried away in his feelings to let the hot event of the night happen. Dara is a stupid woman.

"Aunt Kim's afraid that Jay's not coming back?" ask Dara. The middle-aged woman sitting beside him nodded.

"Why should you be afraid. It should be a happy aunt because Jay can go back to his family" Dara replied.

Aunt Kim let out a long breath as if she was tired. "As recently as yesterday we met with Jay." He laughed softly. "The man is like a cat who has lost its mother."

"Auntie can't remember challenging me to let Jay stay here? Now auntie's just afraid that Jay's not coming back here."

"Yes I remember. Actually, I used to be afraid that it was just your wits to put a man in your house..."

"God..." Dara glanced cynically. "What kind of woman do you think I am?"

"Haha... I was thinking that Jay was your dark lover." Aunt Kim laughed. Dara's face immediately flushed.

"That's very ngawur... I never even had a lover. Anyway I was already a widow, so I was free," Dara replied mocking Aunt Kim with her gesture.

"Yes... I know it. By the way, do you like Jay?" ask Aunt Kim who just made Dara die of lice.

"A-what's aunt talking about...Aaaahhh, don't talk." Dara stammered, she began to misbehave.

"To be honest, I'd love it if you were in a relationship with Jay" the middle-aged woman said. "I'm annoyed to see Jay being teased by a female customer!" continued sebal.

Hearing Jay often being teased by female customers at the store, makes Dara feel jealous. He wouldn't be willing if there was a woman who glanced at Jay behind him.

"It's night, how about we go to sleep. Instead of talking we are getting stuck," said Dara. The woman then moved from her place and entered, followed by Aunt Kim.

"You're right. Let's just sleep, Jay might be here tomorrow" Aunt Kim replied.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Hello, Mr. Bill Parker. I've been keeping watch at the entrance of Asia Town. Mr. Jay Parker hasn't been seen passing through here." A mysterious man is calling in the wartel. He was still desperate to spot the situation there.

"It looks like Jay's coming home. Stay there and report something if you see Jay back there."

"Good, sir."

"Oh yeah.... One over. Please investigate Attorney Alexandra Meggie!"

The man answered obediently.

From a distance apparently Jay found the scout. He looked straight at the father's man from his car. Surely he used another car to be unrecognizable by the scout.

"How, sir? Are you going back there now?" ask Chris who is sitting behind the wheel of the car.

"No," answered Jay flatly.

"What if that person's intent on harming Miss Alexandra?"

"Just calm. He'll just be watching" Jay said, raising the corner of his lips. A cynical smile was engraved on his face.

"If you'll allow it, I'll send people to come snooping too. So if at any time the scout intends to harm Miss Alexandra, then my people will take care of it."

Jay put his back on the bench in his car. "Good idea" he replied in agreement.
