Lawyer And Boss Miras
Take the Risk

Dara was only able to resign when the trial that was supposed to be carried out today was postponed by the judge. The defendant requested time for them to gather evidence of the defense being used against the plaintiff.

The tired face of the workers who traveled far by truck seemed to slice Dara's heart. He had to return from the courtroom empty-handed.

Before it should be postponed, the court usually contacts the lawyer first. But this all seems very sudden. It was as if someone had done it intentionally.

"How about, Miss Alexandra?" ask one of the workers. With a heavy heart, Dara finally answered.

"Sorry..." He looked down not wanting to show his regret. "Today's trial must be postponed" he continued.

For a few seconds the audience in front of him did not respond. But moments later a protest sentence was thrown by one of them.

"You kidding? We came all the way here in a truck only to hear that the trial was adjourned? We spent a lot of money to come here."

"I'm sorry. I have received no word from the court before. So, I'm just as surprised as you are" said Dara.

Disappointed in front of Dara's eyes made her feel sad. They had already placed more hope on Dara.

"I will contact you again if there is any news from the court" Dara said.

"Do you know when the next trial will take place?" askthem.

"I still don't know. But, I will try to work on it as soon as possible. I will urge the court to warn the defendant not to buy time" Dara said, reassuring those in front of her.

They looked as if they were impatient to wait again.

"Look, Miss Alexandra, we haven't farmed and worked for almost two months. We are very much dependent on the outcome of today's trial. If today is not clear, we decide to continue our work. Let Won Company pay our crops at a low price, at least with that we can still eat to continue our lives," said the middle-aged woman who was the representative of the workers in front of Dara.

"I beg you, wait one more week. The trial delay is only seven days at most, so take it easy you don't have to worry. I will win this case for you guys" replied Dara who again tried to convince the people in front of her.

However, the disappointed faces were apparently tired of their efforts which were always nil. They might decide to give up.

"That's Miss Alexandra. We told you right from the start, you don't have to waste your time fighting the Won Company. They are too strong" said the woman.

"But—" Dara's words were interrupted when the horde of people in front of her chose to leave the place.

Is it true, what Dara had done all this time was just in vain?

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Jay took over the noodle shop today. Aunt Kim suddenly got dizzy, probably because her blood pressure was rising. Lately the price of noodle ingredients soared high making him experience a little loss because he did not want to raise the price.

"If the price is raised, the store will be quiet. If it is not raised I will lose. How's this Jay?" muttered Aunt Kim who was sitting limp in her chair.

"You don't have to think about that first. Better get some rest, didn't you just take your medicine?"

Aunt Kim nodded, she began to lay herself down on the long chair located next to the dishwasher.

"I'm being sleepy. It's okay, don't you run your own shop? Or if you can't, you can close the store right now" Aunt Kim said.

Seeing the store that was crowded with visitors, Jay did not want to close the store. Too bad if you have to return customers who are willing to queue there.

"Just calm down, bi. I can take care of it" replied Jay who then grabbed an apron hanging in the corner, Jay then used it.

Aunt Kim pulled the corner of her lips, she shouldn't underestimate Jay. "You sure you can cook?" tanyakanya.

She didn't know how Aunt Kim cooked, whether it was any seasoning or vegetables that needed to be added. Jay will tap into his pent-up talent this time around. Yeah, cooking.

Not once did he go abroad twice. He intends to offer his favorite menu from France, pasta.

Customers who are curious about the menu also choose to order it. With the shrewdness of Jay concocting spices and boiling noodles at the same time, dazzling customers.

They also love Jay's cooking. Their tongues were spoiled with a new taste of cuisine they had never tasted.

By getting around the new menu, Jay raises the price a bit. Customers don't mind that either.

Seeing the great Jay solve the problem in terms of sales made Aunt Kim feel even more amazed at the man.

Looks like Jay is an angel sent by God to Asia Town. Inner that middle-aged woman.

"Jay, to be honest, this is the first time I've seen someone cooking noodles this way" said Aunt Kim.

"It should use pasta type noodles, but because there is nothing here, I just combine it" replied Jay.

"Where did you learn to cook this?" ask Aunt Kim again. Jay doesn't even look clumsy using cookware, as if he knows the function of each of the cookware there.

"Mmmm... I used to work on the ferry, "Jay answered lying. It is also impossible that he said that he had traveled around the world to try the typical cuisine there and practice the cooking method.

"You're a cook?" Aunt Kim tilted her head. He knew people as young as Jay couldn't be cooks on a ferry. Even professional chefs there are very selected and not just anyone can be accepted.

"No... How to explain it. Mmmmm you could say I'm just an assistant" Jay replied.

"Assistant?"

"Oh, Yes. But not the assistant officially hehe." Jay immediately answered.

Aunt Kim nodded as if understanding. Jay took a breath. Lying wouldn't be this hard, would it?

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Dara's lethargic face has been seen since returning home from work. He didn't talk much and told Jay about his experience today. Even when the day ended, Dara chose to go straight to bed accompanying Noah—sang's son.

Dara's silence makes Jay feel anxious. Unlike Dara who can sleep early, Jay can not sleep. Actually, he was eager to ask what was going on. But he couldn't. Jay will probably wait for the morning to finish his curiosity.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

The next morning Jay who was exhausted from taking care of the shop alone yesterday also had to wake up late. Again he missed the opportunity to talk to Dara.

The man woke up and glanced at the wall clock that was plastered in one corner of the room. Time shows at seven in the morning. The condition of the house is neat, Dara has left and brought Noah to be entrusted to his pre-school place.

Jay wriggled for a while, then got up and folded the blanket and tidied up his bed. He walked into the kitchen and found a letter that Dara had placed on the dining table with a glass of water. Jay grabs the paper to find out what Dara wrote there.

"You're right, Jay. If I want to know the ins and outs of Won Company, then I have to go there and find someone who will cooperate with me." Dara wrote on the piece of paper.

Jay was surprised by Dara's determination. In this world there are people who come openly before their enemies.

"Is that woman crazy?" muttered Jay who could not believe what Dara had decided.

"I have to get there first. He can't know that I'm the owner of Won Company" said Jay, who then prepared to go there.
