What the hell's going on?
Jay silently held onto her cheeks that were flushed from the slap. Aunt Kim left the place without saying anything.
Jay knew for sure the reason why Aunt Kim was so angry with him was because he suddenly left without giving any news. Jay may have been wronged because of his privacy intrusions, but running and leaving like a loser was his fault too.
"I must also be very angry with me" said Jay Lirih. Dara grumbled, her facial water changed. He acts as if he can't or can't even see Jay again for life.
"Come in, let's talk inside" Dara replied. The woman goes in ahead of Jay. He sat in the kitchen and poured him a glass of water.
Dara's hands began to tremble reaching for a white envelope in the kitchen table drawer. He thrust it at Jay, let the man read it himself. Dara doesn't want to run out of energy to deliver.
Jay opened the envelope. Inside there is a paper from the house of cherry. His two pupils enlarged, he turned towards Dara with a look of disbelief.
"So you..."
Not yet had Jay complete his sentence, Dara actually began to cry. The man tried to calm him down. He rubbed Dara's back and patted her slowly.
"Why crying? Aren't you happy?" ask Jay.
Dara turned her head then hurriedly wiped her tears that came out. "What do you mean?"
"You should be happy to know this" Jay said.
"What about you? Are you happy?" ask Dara back. The grim look on Jay's face seemed to describe what the answer was.
The man changed that grim look. A smile on his face. "Yes. I'm happy" Jay replied.
"I really aspire to have a happy little family" Jay continued.
Dara only fell silent in silence with a confused look that was so dense on her face. Both of Jay's hands grabbed Dara's hand and clasped her tightly. He looked at the face of the woman in front of him with a deep look.
"When are we getting married? Can today be?" jay's spontaneous question was greeted by a small laughter reflex from Dara's lips.
"Why? Am I funny?" Jay laughed too.
"Don't joke. Getting married can't be that fast" Dara replied.
"Why not? What preparations should we make?" Naturally Jay asked, he had never been married.
"First we must seek the consent of our families."
"Well, I'll call my uncle now" Jay said.
Along with that, Dara suddenly hesitated. What does marriage mean in Jay's eyes?
"You don't seem serious" said Dara Lirih.
"Jay...."
"Do it as soon as possible. I don't want you to bear the disgrace of what I've done" Jay said. He understands how Asian culture, therefore he will not let Dara's life more destroyed by it.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
Later that night, Jay asks Dara for permission to call her uncle. Still worried that Jay would leave him, Dara decided to follow Jay to the pay phone.
"You wait here first, yeah!" pinta Jay's. Dara held the man's arm so as not to move away from him.
"I'm coming" said Dara. Jay may have somewhat objected to it, but eventually he agreed to Dara's request.
"My uncle doesn't speak English very well, so I'm going to use our everyday language" Jay said, asking Dara to understand.
"Yes, it's okay. Maybe a little bit I understand the Asian language," replied Dara.
At that time Jay was feeling thin-ketir, to find safety he finally asked. "Well, how many languages do you speak?"
"Only three. English, Korean and tagalog."
Jay nodded, thinking what language he would use.
"My uncle used to speak Spanish" Jay replied.
"Oh so." Dara is quite foreign to Spanish, he only lives in the Asia Town area so far. Where there's a lot of language mixing there. Most of them speak Korean and Chinese.
Jay started connecting the phone. As soon as the phone was picked up. Jay spoke up.
"Hallo, uncle. It's Jay, "that's the first word that Jay's lips heard.
"Tengo un problema. Tal vez no estare en casa por unos dias." Jay looked at Dara with a smile. The woman returned Jay's smile, thinking that Jay had actually informed the man she called uncle.
"Pero no te preocupes, lo resolvere yo mismo. No hace falta que mandes gente, yo te llamo y te pido que me recojas para ir a casa," Jay continued.
Dara smiles again after Jay hangs up.
"What did your uncle say?" asked Dara innocently.
Jay smiled. "He blesses us. But..."
Forehead frowning. Why is there still but?
"My uncle can't come to the blessing ceremony. That's because he still has to solve the problem with the Won Company." Jay reasoned.
Dara seemed to be able to understand that, after all, she could not force the family to come. That man was also a kara like him.
