"I'm sorry, but I feel familiar to you" said Dara.
Chris raised both eyebrows."Did ya? Have we met?" tanyakanya.
Yeah, as if they really thought Dara was stupid. The woman nodded. "I've been to Won Company. You were my tour guide."
"Isn't he? Sorry, I met a lot of people so I have a hard time remembering" Chris replied.
"I thought you only spoke fluent Spanish" said Dara.
Jay froze at that moment. He remembers when he claimed to be begging Chris for his blessing. Jay said that his uncle was used to Spanish.
"Uncle Chris is getting used to it" Jay said, ending the thin debate.
Today, refugees are allowed to return to their homes. The cost of damage has been borne by the government and there are many companies that donate, one of which is Won Company.
Dara's simple house has been fixed potluck. At least the house is back to be habitable.
Aunt Kim and the other residents have also returned to their homes. Even Aunt Kim will start selling tomorrow.
The night was getting late, Dara let Chris sleep first. Now he's left with Jay on the back porch.
The man rubbed Dara's stomach which already looked slightly bloated, he then floated a brief kiss on Dara's cheek.
"Jay." J." Dara turned her head making their faces face to face each other so closely. "May I ask?"
Jay nodded. "What?"
Dara looks agitated. Knowing the fact that he had been lied to by Jay from the beginning made him sad. Dara even worries about whether she should leave Jay or stay by his side.
Not to mention the advice of Betrice who constantly circled his head. As if it could haunt Dara's entire life.
Jay grabs Dara's hands and grasps them, the man dips her at a glance. "Sorry, Dara. I'm collecting money to buy you a ring. I hope you can be patient."
Dara nodded. The thing that made him wonder was not really because of the ring, but because of the thing Betrice had revealed to him.
"You don't want to sleep?" ask Dara.
"I'll sleep if you sleep too" Jay replied.
Although very sleepy, Dara did not seem to want to end this conversation just like that.
"Jay, where are you actually working?"
"I'm..." Jay paused in his words. Of course he had to think of a logical lie.
"I work in a truck repair shop" Jay replied.
Dara smiled, the lie was triggered again on Jay's lips. Until when will Jay hide the facts about her to Dara.
"I thought you were the owner of Won Company."
"What makes you think that?"
"Y-Yes.you just came into my life and saved me over and over again from the interference of the person who tried to stop my investigation at that time. But it seems like my guess is wrong..." Dara touched Jay's shoulder and smiled. "...you're just an ordinary person who's even busy looking for work, to want to work in a small noodle shop in this devastated city. I never should have suspected you, Jay."
Jay swallowed the saliva, it froze again at this moment. His heart was pounding, even cold sweat started to slide through his skin.
"You said there's nothing to believe in this world. But I really believe in you, Jay. I know you're a trustworthy person" Dara said.
Jay nodded slowly. "Yes" he said softly.
