A girl in high heels approached, from the scent of her perfume Jay could already guess who it was.
He looked tired of looking at the face that was now smiling kindly. The black dress that matches Jay's clothes seems to really show gloom. Although this should actually be a fun event.
"So you decided to be here to feed your fish instead of having to talk to fake people inside?" Archi asked.
Jay was actually lazy to talk to the girl, but she was forced to respond.
"What about you? Why are you here, aren't you one of those fake people?"
Archi smiled faintly, he knew Jay hated him so much right now. Especially after Bill decided to do the magnificent engagement. Everyone across the country would definitely label him as a man who was engaged.
Jay can't hold that status, especially now that he's actually married. He was forced to do Bill's request because the man was so good at manipulating. He will make Jay helpless and will not want to obey what Bill wants.
It's hard for Jay to ignore Bill. However he is Jay's adoptive father, the most meritorious person in his life—right shortly after he moved to Seattle.
"I'm not someone like them. Looky!" Archi grabbed the fish food in Jay's grasp and sprinkled it over the water. "I love your fish too."
Jay raised one of his eyebrows, hesitating. "really? If so, tomorrow I'll fry all my fish. How are you feeling now?"
"Whatever you do, I will still support you" Archi replied.
Jay melengos, huck. "Then you better support all my decisions."
Archi was silent, knowing Jay would definitely talk about his objection to the engagement.
"I'm a married man. So, I want this fiancee canceled" Jay asked.
Archi immediately shook his head. "Your marriage was never legal. No one thinks it's legal."
"How are you so sure? The priest who married me said that my marriage was legal."
Archi nodded back. "No father or other family member. Unknown marriage, it means illegitimate." The girl was firm on her own logic.
Jay smiled cynically. "You're right. But, do you think this is what you call family?"
Jay looked at Archi sharply. "Family that can't understand how I feel, I can't think of as family anymore."
"Yes, let's just say me and Dad are not part of your family. But we're going to be a family, right? You can think of Bill Parker as a father-in-law who expects his daughter's happiness on you" Archi said. That girl is as manipulative as Bill.
"Forget over! I'm so lazy to argue with you!" jay was upset.
The man then went away from the front of Archi. It was accidentally noticed by some guests who are now talking to Bill.
"Jay seems exhausted, he must have decided to go home and rest" said Bill so he could straighten out what could have been a misunderstanding.
The people who were there told him. Jay is a very successful young entrepreneur. Being busy is her daily meal.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
Jay took off the ring that was coiled on his finger. The man then put the tunagan ring in his office desk drawer.
"Your breakfast, sir," said Chris.
Jay did not have time to eat breakfast at home because he wanted to hurry to the office. He actually wanted to avoid Archi who might have come to his house in the morning.
"Thank you, Chris," said Jay. He then grabbed the coffee cup and sipped it. After that, he grabbed the humming bread that Chris put on the plate. Jay enjoyed the bread.
"Chris, get me a ring with a simple design. If possible, it is made of a mixture of silver and gold. No need to be good, even cheap ones are okay" Jay pinta said.
Chris was astonished as to why Jay was looking for such a thing.
"There's a lot of jewelers in Seattle, sir. Why not choose a ring with pure gold decorated with diamonds," replied Chris.
"This is for Dara" said Jay. "She wanted a ring as a sign that she had married me. You know, I can't give her expensive jewelry. That would be suspicious."
"Good, sir. I'll try to find a ring like that" replied Chris obediently.
Jay returned to his home when afternoon came. He could no longer think after his engagement with Archi back then. He must find a solution to end this relationship without upsetting Bill.
I swear, Jay does not want any quarrel between him and the foster father. He just wants everything back to normal without having to face this kind of drama.
He'll be happy, so will Archi. The girl still has a long future. There will definitely be men who love and accept Archi, even if it's not Jay.
A number of scenarios began to form in his head. Yeah, maybe there's only stupid ideas in Jay's head, but there's nothing impossible. Any effort he thought of might have had the possibility of succeeding, even if it was below fifty percent. Tired of thinking, Jay fell asleep on his own. He still hasn't had dinner.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
"Mr Jay!" chris exclaimed from behind the door, standing there, leaving the door open. Anxious look was clearly drawn on Chris' face, making Jay feel very curious.
"What's up?" ask Jay.
Chris looked worried. It seems like he has trouble talking. "N-there's someone looking for you." Chris stuttered.
Jay grew curious and just focused his gaze towards the door. A woman appeared from there, looking at Jay with a pushy look that seemed to make both of Jay's knees tighten.
Even so, Jay got up from his chair and stood up to welcome the woman who was slowly walking over to him. The woman circulated her gaze around the corner of the room for a glance.
His eyes began to glaze over at Jay who could only mute in front of him. Not unwilling to talk, Jay's throat seems to tighten making it difficult to speak and even breathe.
Cold sweat began to wash over Jay's body. Seeing the sad-eyed woman in front of him made Jay's heart crumble.
"Because, I can explain" Jay said after trying to speak slowly.
Disappointed look clearly on Dara's face, he began to shed tears.
"Why do you have the heart to lie to me, Jay.." The voice sounded soft. It might also be difficult to get words out for Dara.
"Why are you tricking me, Jay?"
"Why are you doing this to me?"
