Lawyer And Boss Miras
The Trust No One

Spots drenched the asphalt road that morning. The road is still dark, about three in the morning. The shabby foot of the shoe was walking in a hurry to the public telephone. The Asian man reached into his pants pocket where there were some coins he had just exchanged at a grocery store.

The man put a coin in there and started picking up the phone. He pressed a few digits of the number he had memorized outside the coconut.

"Hallo, this is Jay Parker" he said shortly after a man at the end of the channel picked up his call.

"Mr Jay, you finally let me know... I've been waiting for your news since yesterday." An old man's voice sounded from the phone. It's Chris, Jay's confidant.

"I've been busy lately. Oh yeah, you know who sent people to scout the workers' lawyers?" ask Jay.

"It looks like the Head of the Factory sent those people. What's up, sir? Is there a problem?" ask Chris.

"No. I love how they work." Jay smiled wryly. "Please tell the Head of the Factory, I want to meet those people tomorrow."

"You're serious, Mr Jay?" Chris wondered. Not usually Jay down to take care of this little thing.

"Yes, I'm serious. I want to give them a gift" Jay replied.

"Good, sir. I'll be able to notify the Head of the Factory soon."

"Okay, 11pm at my house and don't be late!"

"Good, sir."

After hearing Chris' final answer, Jay hung up. The man then went out and walked back to Dara's house.

He did not say goodbye when he came out earlier, it is likely that people will be confused if they find it does not exist. For several days after the stabbing, Jay was still living in Dara's house.

He was grateful to have the trust of those people. Jay was also asked to babysit Noah at home because Betrice's daycare is still being investigated by police.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

As usual that morning Dara was about to go to work. He walked to the bus stop and passed Betrice's daycare. Dara's steps came to a halt when she saw a crowd of people and several police cars parked there. Out of curiosity, Dara tried to ask one of the people there.

"Sorry, what's going on in this place? Why are there so many police?" dara asked a middle-aged Asian woman.

"There's a reconstruction of the murder case there."

"Murder?" Dara was surprised by that. "Who did it?"

"One of the nannies at the scene killed a child, he said he had a personal grudge against the child's parents" she said.

Dara was increasingly speechless when she found Betrice being led by two female police officers with both hands handcuffed. At that time Betrice only glanced at Dara, a look of regret clearly drawn on Betrice's face.

"Betrice!!!" call Dara who is not ignored by the owner of the name.

"BENRY!!!" call Dara again. His eyes began to be bathed in tears, shortly after which the helpless Betrice was led into a police car and left the crowd.

"No way!!! Betrice couldn't have done that" Dara told the woman in front of her.

"We'll probably know the real facts after the verdict in court, miss."

"No. I believe in Betrice, she's very kind to me and can't possibly do that vile thing."

"Miss." The middle-aged woman interrupted. "There is no one you can trust in this world" he said. The woman then passed from before Dara, followed by a few people who started to leave the location.

At that time, Dara was only able to sculpt. His face looked up at the still overcast sky. Even the asphalt has not dried up after all night's rain.

The gloomy atmosphere seemed complete with the helplessness of Dara who had just seen things she did not want. He was disappointed and could not believe that Betrice, whom he knew well, had committed murder.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Good afternoon, mommy..," greeted Jay as she moved Noah's tiny hand.

"Mom.mom..mom..".mom..." The one-year-old who could only say a few words welcomed him as well.

Dara's tired face was clearly drawn, making Jay wonder. But then again, Jay could not start a conversation let alone dig up information without leaving suspicion.

"Noah baby..." A kiss floated on Noah's cheek. Dara sits between Jay and her son.

"You can rest now, Jay," said Dara.

"I'll wait for you to take a shower and change clothes. I'm just gonna hand Noah over" Jay replied. Dara agreed to that. Then he rushed to shower.

After finishing the bath, Dara immediately fondled her son. He also fed Noah with porridge which he made from yam. When Noah falls asleep, Dara approaches Jay. It feels complaining is not an exaggeration, especially the two have started to know each other.

"So morning, I passed by Betrice's house..."

Jay turned his head, he was probably enthusiastic and curious at the same time.

"You remember the police line that was installed in his house? Yeah, there's a murder there." Dara's words sounded quivering, her tears had also welled up. "Betrice.hiks." Dara started to sniff.

Jay who does not know how to calm Dara finally decided to pat Dara's back slowly.

"How can anyone as good as Betrice do that? He loved Noah very much" Dara continued.

"Sometimes what you see in front of you can't describe the real situation" Jay said.

"You're right. I strongly believe in Betrice's kindness" Dara replied.

"Betrice may not do it, but it's not impossible if she did it." Jay began to assume. Dara looked at the man. He doesn't want to hear words he doesn't want to hear.

"There's no one you can trust in this world." The same words came out of Jay's lips. Dara is increasingly disappointed in her who is too easy to believe in someone. The woman then wiped her tears.

"Then, what about you?" ask Dara.

"Me?" Jay was confused by what Dara meant.

"Yes, You. Can I trust you?" ask Dara again.

Jay smiled, what kind of silly question is this?

"No," Jay answered honestly. He also did not try to ask for the trust of the woman.

The Chu......

A brief kiss is suddenly flashed by Dara on Jay's lips. The man seemed surprised by what he had just received. Both are. Jay couldn't have been caught in Dara's trap. He could only bow without asking what the crazy thing just meant.

"Looks like you can be trusted" said Dara.

Jay who was originally looking down now looked at Dara questioningly.

"Other men might retaliate and look for an opportunity, but you don't. That's why I trust you," continued Dara.

"Don't believe me. I'm just trying to be the good guy here."

"Yes, I'm going to believe in people who are trying to be good people." Dara then moved and went into the room leaving Jay who was still confused.

Dara who felt that the thing she was doing was so stupid appeared from behind the door and said to Jay. "I'm sorry if I'm not polite. You can leave here if you mind what I just did."

Jay is getting anxious. Will Dara be okay if she leaves?
