Eps. 168 — Golden Stick

Linxia, Yifei and Xiao Rou were surprised by Zhou Yuan's sudden arrival but on the other hand they were also happy that Zhou Yuan had helped him.
Zhou Yuan then placed a hand on Xiao Rou's shoulder before exerting a deep force on her, Zhou Yuan tried to stop the bleeding on the girl's shoulder that had sustained quite a deep wound.
No more human beasts around him wanted to attack Zhou Yuan again after seeing his abilities except for one person.

The ape man carried a golden staff in his hand that was the heirloom of the cloud class.
Zhou Yuan clasped his sword tighter as he realized the ape man was a swordsman who had reached the level of the light realm.
"Young man, I can't let you kill our race as you please?!" The ape man looked at Zhou Yuan coldly. "You have such a high power at your young age, is this an influence because you were born with a Yin body?"
Zhou Yuan did not reply, he took a few steps forward and was ready to fight.
"The three of you back off, he's no match for you..." Zhou Yuan ordered his three girls to take some distance.
With his strength now even if using the forbidden knowledge of totokan, Zhou Yuan would not be able to win against a swordsman who was at the level of the light realm.
Zhou Yuan will use all his abilities to fight the ape man.

"Basic brash!" Shouted the ape man while releasing a powerful wave into his surroundings.
Zhou Yuan was pushed a few steps as a result of restraining the wave but he immediately quickly took the balance and his horses.
"You! I'll chop it into a thousand parts!" The ape man was enraged, he jumped towards Zhou Yuan and swung his staff at full force.
Zhou Yuan gulped and exerted a considerable amount of energy on the kusanagi sword to withstand the attack.
When the staff and sword collided, a shockwave was created and spread around him. Zhou Yuan's body was pushed back again by the impact of his second weapon, the hand holding his sword was now numb from the weight of the swing of the stick.
The ape man immediately attacked Zhou Yuan again without wanting to give a pause, Zhou Yuan bit his lips before welcoming his opponent's attack.
The two exchanged moves that showed a very one-sided fight.
A few punches of the stick finally did not exactly hold Zhou Yuan up so as to hit him, the young man took a few steps back and fresh blood flowed at the corner of his lips.
The ape man himself did not directly attack Zhou Yuan, as his attention was currently fixed on his staff which was now filled with golden scratches.
"This kid?!"
The ape-man's eyes turned red and looked at Zhou Yuan hatefully, he did not expect that his pride stick would be severely damaged after exchanging attacks with the young man's sword.
The ape man clearly did not expect his wand to be damaged so easily even though first-class heirlooms alone could not give a scratch to his weapon.
The ape-man's wand was a cloud-class heirloom, costing a great deal for each treatment.

"Do you think I should consider such a thing, in a war everything can be done in order to achieve victory." The ape man grunted softly.
Xiong Bian smiled faintly before turning his head back towards Zhou Yuan. "Young man, I'm sure you'll be the champion of this tournament so I'll give this to you."
Xiong Bian threw something wrapped in cloth at Zhou Yuan who immediately captured the young man easily.
When Zhou Yuan opened it, he found that underneath the cloth was a Sun Orchid inside.
"Senior, isn't this...."
"You're a worthy champion so there's no need to think about it any further, now I need you to get out of here and bring the three girls." Xiong Bian's.
Xiong Bian did not know the limits of the strength of the opposing forces but he thought about the worst conditions. Xiong Bian had assumed this attacker would last a long time and not necessarily his side would win.
Zhou Yuan wanted to say something but so paled, Xiong Bian's words did have a point. He could see the army of beastmen still continuously arriving.

Without saying much more Zhou Yuan then turned around and invited his three girls to leave, they could not stay in this tournament area any longer as the fighting situation grew fiercer.
