Like a Former Nail
Episodes 2.2

“Aish... Watch out for yah!” lisa cried out in a hurry to hit Asep who was still flickering, still teasing him.

TUBS... BIKES... BUKS... Lisa hit Asep's body sadistically, making the man grimace in pain. The charisma in front of them just laughed. The view in front of him is quite interesting.

“Already! Already, Lis! It hurts!” Asep caught Lisa's arm, trying to hold her thin but powerful arms back in contact with her body. “Enough Lis! I'm sorry. Sorry!” added Asep again when Lisa will swing her fist again.

“Already, Lis. Poor Asep,” timpal Kharisma who was fond of seeing Asep's complaining expression.

“So he started first, Ris,” Lisa said by pursing her lips.

“But the reality is indeed—”

“You were punched?” cut Lisa while showing her fist again.

“Sorry! Sorry!”

“Don't bother him again, Sep,” Rion's perspiration starts to pester with their quarrel.

“Sorry!” Once again Asep apologized, felt bad for his attitude, to make the man who was famous for speaking efficiently issued a warning sound. “And have you listened to the hottest gossip on our faculty?” it was Asep as his eyes caught the two girls who had just entered the canteen, trying to find a topic that could break the awkwardness that suddenly burst into disarray.

Rion, Lisa, and Kharisma follow Asep's gaze, getting a long-haired ponytail and a bespectacled girl. They seemed to talk while walking slowly near the shelves serving side dishes.

“About the master of accounting?” tanya Kharisma.

“Say she was pregnant at Junior High,” clearly Asep still with attention to the movements of Gebri and Koning.

“Males are gossipers!” chirp Lisa, still angry.

“No gossip, it's a fact. Many allow it, and I have asked Rethy C class to be more sure,” said Asep did not accept with the words Lisa. “Rethy used to be at SMP 216 Jakarta, right? Mean one school with you first, Yon? Has she ever been pregnant?” asep asked in succession with a curious face.

Rion's body stiffened for a while before his head nodded slightly. Doubters.

Asep shed his body. “Ah, what a pity. Though Gebri is very beautiful and looks like a good girl.”

“Don’t judge a book by its cover. People who look good are not necessarily good and people who look bad are not necessarily bad,” Lisa said while following the movements of Gebri and Koning who were looking at an empty place.

“Yon, whether Gebri is pregnant because of his girlfriend or per—” Kharisma does not so continue his words when he saw Rion shift the chair, then take out a piece of money ten thousands. “Where are you going? Bu Siska's lecture is still two hours away, right?” he asked while glancing at the clock on his wrist.

“I want to go to academic first, and please pay in?!” he said, then stepped away and left six pairs of eyes that were staring in wonder at him.

“Yon, wait!” Lisa hurriedly got up from the seat and caught up with Rion.

“He doesn't like it, but always follows Rion everywhere,” Asep said with a snort.

Gebri raised his head, looking at the sky that had just dropped the water dots from the evaporation process above the clouds. Ten minutes ago, there was no gray sky, which is a common sign of rain. But now he was forced to take shelter in an empty shop–former student cooperative that has moved to a new building next to rectorat– with other pedestrian students, he said, waiting for the spots to subside a little or the volume is not as hard as it is now.

As was the case these few days, any student who saw Gebri would definitely be whispering along with a judging gaze. At first he felt angry and worried, but now he did not care much and preferred to show off a smile when the voices that mentioned his name began to sound.

Gebri chuckled slightly, imagining Koning's face now. It had been twenty minutes since this chat came in, surely now he was putting on a pouting face with his lips dimmed. Looking ugly in his opinion, and because he did not want to make Koning even more irritated and continued to put a sour face, Gebri immediately put his android phone into the bag, fix the position of the black backpack on the back to be in front of the chest. Then make his arms embrace his front body, trying to protect the bag and its contents, before breaking through the rain that is still falling profusely that shows no signs of shade. He ran very fast, hoping to get to the boarding house soon to avoid the specks that increasingly wet his body and soon met with Koning.

Suddenly a super white Toyota Yaris stopped, forcing Gebri to stop his footwork. The door beside the steering wheel opened, revealing a man with eyes as sharp as an eagle who wore a worried look. And in this standing position, Gebri could see there was a woman with shoulder-length hair who put a probing gaze beside the steering wheel. Even he can also listen to the woman calling the name “Rion, what do you want?”.

“Come in! I take you home,” take Rion with me while opening the car door. “Come!” Rion was about to hold Gebri's wrist, intending to lead him into the car, but the drenched girl immediately brushed off his hand.

“Ti-No. Thank you.”

Gebri hurried back to run, but before reaching the last stage towards the boarding house of Wisma Bestari, a hand pulled him again. Rion was chasing after him, and was now forcing Gebri to wear the leather jacket he was carrying. Gebri continued to try to resist, but the man with the flattened angular fringe continued to force, until the jacket in his hand almost enveloped the upper body of Gebri.

“STOP!” shouted Gebri who was still trying to resist.

“You should wear it, Geb.” Rion kept trying to put the sleeve of the jacket on Gebri's arm. “If you don't wear it, pity our baby. He will be cold,” he said after the outer clothes were installed perfectly and now is opening the umbrella that he was also carrying.

“A-What do you mean?” gebri's voice was almost inaudible, plus a groaning sound that sank him even more.

“You must wear this jacket and umbrella so that our child does not kedi—”

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN, HUH?” gebri shouted with teary eyes. He suddenly felt humiliated. Rion's words and actions seemed to be scorning him, mocking him.

Rion flinched, conscious of his momentary illusion. The figure was fluttering in its place. Long enough, before running again Gebri away, with a leather jacket lying on the asphalt road. He pulled back the thick-browed virgin arm, forcing Gebri to face him.

“Please accept this umbrella.” Rion held out a black umbrella that had been perfectly opened.

“No need. Te-Thank you,” rejected Gebri who then turned around, about to run again.

Again Rion pulled Gebri's hand, making the master turn his face. “Please accept this. I beg you,” he said again handed over the black umbrella. “Go! Not good for long with clothes soaking wet like this. You can get sick,” continued Rion again while slightly pushing him so that the virgin back to walk.

Gebri stepped on his feet slowly, with an umbrella now protecting him from the specks of rain. His eyes that had been glazed, now flowed with raindrops that fell from his bangs. Why does all this have to happen? Why must he be himself? Wh why? After five years had passed, he really did not expect to meet the man again, let alone in the quite peaceful conditions he had painstakingly built.

Is God still not punishing him enough? Is God still so angry with him? And the man with eyes as sharp as the eagle.... His attitude was as if he was making fun of himself, like he was laughing at him. Was it still not enough for the young man to leave him first? Was it still not enough when he was just silent, letting Rion live a quiet life without the contemptuous gazes of others? IS IT STILL NOT ENOUGH? Why did he bring up the tempest five years ago. WHAT'S FOR?

When he arrived in front of the inn, Gebri immediately hugged Koning's body, then cried bitterly until his breath was slightly wheezed, spilling all the tightness that had been harbored since. While Koning simply stroked that fragile back, trying to calm down. That's all he can do right now.
