I've been in Kansas for 3 months.
If you ask, am I still thinking about Young Joon, or did I finally open my heart to Clarence? I will answer them one by one now!
As for how I feel about Young Joon, it won't just go away, unlike how I feel about Mike!
Young Joon has lived in my heart for too long, and for some reason, it seems like he was reluctant to move on from there.
So, as long as I leave her, during that time anyway, I live with the memories of her.
I still cried at night when I was about to go to sleep, and always got a reprimand from Aunt Margaret in the morning, because she was so upset to see my eyes were always wet every morning.
"Your asian face is more visible, every morning you wake up! It reminds me more of my husband's love!" Ketus Aunt Margaret while cutting vegetables.
I immediately grabbed the knife in his hand, then tried to take over his activities while smiling seductively.
"Only a foolish man leaves this sexy woman for the sake of an Asian girl." My God, and Aunt Margaret laughed.
"You are!" Aunt Margaret patted my ass.
And as for Clarence, as I said before, I would never open my heart to him, even if I knew, maybe Clarence wouldn't hurt me, like Young Joon who really broke my heart.
Clarence visits me a few times each month.
And today he came back, to keep his promise, to bring me the divorce papers I requested from him 3 months ago.
We sat in the living room of Aunt Margaret's house, Clarence sitting right beside me, and Aunt Margaret, on the sofa that was on the left front side of the sofa I was sitting on with Clarence
"For 3 months here, Elle's been getting thinner! It seems she misses her parents so much, she cries every night." Aunt Margaret opened the conversation, then turned on the television using a remote she took from a small table beside her seat.
"Her skin is also becoming more and more brown, hey, bi! How do you know Elle cries every night?" Look at Clarence while looking at me.
"His eyes are always puffy every morning!" Aunt looks upset at me
"Haha... Aunty could've..." I laugh silly.
"But don't I look like an Asian girl no more?" Much
"If your eyes don't pop every morning, it's possible!" Auntie's mouth
"My skin is already so brown because it always helps you feed livestock, and grow some crops in the backyard." My protest, and it made them both laugh, was followed by my laughter.
And our laughter came to a halt, when the television station, which was currently being stalled by Margaret's aunt, aired someone I seemed to know, was broadcasting.
Clarence clasped my hand tightly, and aunt immediately turned her face towards the tv.
'Are you not getting a bright spot on your wife's disappearance yet?' A woman who appeared to be the host asked the man.
The man looked very thin and looked devastated. I barely recognized him, if only there was no 'Park Young Joon, the source' on the screen below the tv.
'I've tried every way to find him. Looking for some information I needed, even I left my job so I could find it soon. I've contacted the police. I've been tracking his social media, all...' Young Joon says it with teary eyes, and a little restrained.
'Have you got any current information about his whereabouts?' the woman asked Young Joon.
'the last information I got, he lived in an apartment in Cleveland, Ohio for 2 weeks, and...' Aunt turned off the television
"The man has not yet found his wife... How poor! She's getting thinner every week every time she attends the show." Aunt seems concerned.
"And my ex-husband is like that poor man... Huh, I hope he finds his wife soon."
We were silent at Aunt Margaret's words.
"Did auntie watch the show anyway?" Ask Clarence
"Yes, of course! I'm always following her story." Answer aunty
"Did he ever tell his wife's character?" Clarence probed, and the aunt seemed to remember
"Look, he used to show you a picture of his wife." Aunt is now looking at my face
"What are his traits like?" Clarence is back.
"She's an Asian girl, her face is as beautiful as the Chinese movie artists I often watch. Yellow skin, wearing a maroon-red sleeveless dress, and long brownish hair this way." Said Bibi while touching one third of his arm.
"It's just that he feels so lost." Aunt explained
"How long has he been on the program?" Clarence looked serious, and I've only been fixated since seeing Young Joon on the show.
"For 3 months... Ah, he offered his entire fortune to anyone who could find his wife. I heard, she..."
Clarence pulled my hand, and led me to the back door of Aunt Margaret's house.

"Here, the file you requested." Clarence said as he handed me a large brown map.
I immediately grabbed him, then looked at him, and opened the envelope to check on him.
"Thank you..." I said smile
"What's your next plan?" Clarence made sure
"Go home..." I said staring blankly at the lake
"You mean?" Clarence looked astonished, then I looked him in the face
"When we get to Ohio, we can ask someone to help us send this file through the post office. I'll write the delivery address." I explained
"You're still going to divorce your husband?" Clarence looked puzzled, and I nodded,
"Why are you back then?" Clarence was completely confused this time, and I took a deep breath before answering his question
"I'll finish it all." I said with an empty look

"Am I so outrageous to you that you want to go home like this?" Whine aunt Margaret to me who is now beside the car
"Bi, comeon! You're gonna make us deal with the cops if you keep him here." Clarence explained to his aunt.
"I'll call your parents, and tell them they can return to duty in peace, and let the daughter stay here." Aunty was still whining while holding both of my hands.
"Bi, I'll be back if they get back on duty." I pacified.
Aunty looked at me sadly.
"Can you promise me?" Aunt made sure, then I nodded and hugged her
"I'll call you when I'm in DC." My words then outlined my embrace.
Aunt still looks at me sadly.
"Eat a lot, get your weight back." Auntie's message, and I nodded
"I'll go first..." I said to the aunt with a heavy heart, and the aunt shed tears
"Be careful, call me when you get there, and always tell me about your situation." Auntie was very emotional, and I hugged her.
"Don't forget to eat a lot!" He said he was worried about me.
I let go of the hug, then nodded
"Take care of yourself, I'll be back if my parents get back on duty." I promised my aunt that I would get in the car and then open the glass, just after closing the door.
"I'll go first, yeah..." I said, then the aunt nodded, and Clarence started the engine of his car.
"Daddy..." I waved to auntie, after Clarence drove off his car.

On the way, Clarence and I were silent.
We haven't talked about anything since we left aunt's house, until the end...
"You sure of your decision?" Clarence broke the silence.
I immediately woke up, then turned towards him.
"I'm sorry?" I said make sure.
"Oh, that..." I thought back about my decision.
I've given Young Joon 2 chances.
First, when I left it for Brooklyn, and second, right now.
I have been betrayed by him 2 times, and I promise, that I will not give him a chance to 3.
I will live my days as usual after that.
I went back to college to take my long-delayed master's degree. Looking for a job in another country, after I earned my master's degree.
Until finally, I was strong enough to tell both my parents that I had divorced Park Young Joon.
"I'm very sure of my decision." My words are steady
