Love 2 DOA
Day 10: New Life

Today Maria is happy, because for the first time after a long time she visited the house of her school friends. After returning home from school, Maria and Widya head to Maria's house first. Maria got out of the car and into the village. 20 minutes later, Maria returned and met Widya who was waiting in the car.

"Wid, I'm sorry to make you wait so long. But Grandma asked to see you first. Can't you?"  Ask Mary

"OK Mar.. Ayok." reply Widya immediately came down and went into the village following Maria.

"I'm sorry Wid if it bothers you, because Grandma is worried and wants to see who I am going to, let alone stay over" said Maria

"Gosh Mar... I should have asked your grandmother for permission" Widya replied

Sorry yes, bad cave attitude" Imbuh Widya sadly realized his mistake.

"Hussis.. Don't tell me that... After this" said Maria patted Widya on the back.

After arriving at the front of the house, it was seen Grandma who had been waiting and let Widya enter.

On the inside, Widya immediately sat down and kissed Grandma's hand. Widya looks a little confused because she saw the appearance of Grandma Aisyah who uses mukena.

For a moment, he looked towards Mary in confusion.

"Later I was clear" said Maria understood with Widya's confused attitude.

"But son, Grandma will change first. Wait a minute" said Grandma to the bedroom.

Widya nodded politely.

About 10 minutes Grandma finally came out wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with a floral pattern, and a red hijab.

"You want Grandma to make tea first? " ask Grandma to Widya

"No need, Grandma, thank you. Widya's driver is already waiting in front" Widya replied smiling

Grandma just nodded and she looked at Widya from head to toe. His gaze was very serious and made Widya feel a little uncomfortable and scared. But Widya still tried to calm down so as not to offend Grandma.

"What is the need, son, to invite Maria to stay? " ask Grandma.

"Actually I wanted to study with Maria at Nek's house. And I want Maria to come to my house" Widya replied

"Son, you can come with Grandma to the back for a while" Grandma asked Maria.

Grandma immediately stood up and Maria followed behind.

"What's wrong, Grandma? " ask Mary while holding Grandma's hand gently.

"Son, are you sure you want to stay at the temen house you just met? " ask Grandma with a worried look.

"Mom, don't worry. Trusting Mary, Widya is good." Mary replied with a smile to calm Grandma.

"You sure? " ask Grandma again with a face that is still worried

"I'm sure Grandma... Mary had also experienced many things, so Mary knew what was good and what was not" Mary's smile tried to calm Grandma

"Grandma knows son.. Grandma is only worried if unwanted things happen to you again" Grandma said

"Grandmother calm down yes, I only take one day, and tomorrow morning I go straight to school with Widya and sorenya I have also come home. Grandma don't worry" Maria assured Grandma.

"Yes already.. If you are sure, Grandma can only pray" Grandma said while stroking Maria's face.

"Yes Grandma" Maria's smile was gentle.

After chatting in the back, Grandma and Maria returned to the living room to meet Widya.

"Son Widya, sorry for waiting so long" Grandma said as she sat down

"It's okay, Grandma" Widya replied

"Son Widya, Grandma asked for help so that you take care of Maria and at home. Don't go anywhere" asked Grandma while holding Widya's hands.

"Well Nek, Widya promised" Widya replied.

"Sir, Maria and Widya left first yes" said Maria saying goodbye and kissed Grandma's hand.

They both left the house and Widya followed Maria from behind.

After 15 minutes, they both got back to the car. Then they put all the stuff in the trunk.

For a moment, Widya at a glance felt seeing Ahmad's motorbike.

"What am I feeling. It was like looking at Steven's motorbike "widya murmured.

"Wid, what's wrong?.  How daydreaming? " question Maria who saw Widya suddenly daydreamed and stopped putting the bag into the trunk.

"That's nothing Mar. Come on" replied Widya who gasped from her daydream.

The two of them finished putting the bags in and got into the car. From ignorance looks Ahmad who almost got caught while hiding himself by entering the next alley.

"Dam.. Hopefully they did not see the cave" said Ahmad who was afraid of being discovered.

Ahmad tried to peek out from behind the alley and saw Widya's car departing from Maria's alley. Seeing the situation that was safe, Ahmad came out of his hiding alley and drove his motorbike right in front of the alley of Maria's house.

For a moment he looked towards the alley. Curiosity arose in Ahmad's heart.

Ahmad is a figure who cannot allow himself in a state of anxiety. With all his heart, he ventured to get off the motorbike and into the slum alley.

Slowly Ahmad walked in and observed the surrounding area. Although Ahmad was born and raised in a wealthy family, he was never disgusted or condescended by others who had a low-class economy.

"Open, excuse me.. Maria's house is a Pancasila High School boy who just passed by where is it?" ahmad asked one of his mothers who was sitting on the porch of his house while combing her daughter's hair.

"There kang, just go straight until there is a fork, then take a right turn." replied Ibuk.

"Please say yes" replied Ahmad.

Ahmad walked straight towards the front fork which was a bit far in accordance with the direction indicated by the mother. When he reached the T-junction Ahmad was silent for a moment.

He turned his head and looked around only a bunch of small children on the left turn.

As he was well directed to look for a more mature person, the horde of little children who had been joking suddenly ran away,  and one of the children ran after his friends while carrying a large barrel filled with mud water.

Because of his very fast running, the little boy hit Ahmad and spilled the mud water.

Sheds of mud water, littering all Ahmad's clothing. The uniform and jacket he wore were dirty and smelly, as well as Ahmad's body.

"Yes Allah.. Bad boys yes. Here all" shouted one grandmother scolding the little children.

"Hurm!. " cried the little ones while running

"Based on the bad boy." cried the Grandma again.

Ahmad saw a Grandma wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with a floral pattern, and a red hijab in front of her while shouting angrily.

"It's Nek, I'm okay" said Ahmad

Grandma was stunned for a moment to see Ahmad

"Astaghfirullah, are you okay, son?.  Your body is all dirty" asked Grandma who immediately realized.

"Gpp kok nek, I better go home" replied melas Ahmad.

"here.. " The grandmother pulled Ahmad's arm and brought him into the blue-painted house.

"Please take off your same socks shoes up ahead! " the Grandma's orders.

"Nek no need, I just go home" said Ahmad did not want to bother Grandma.

"God, son, how can you go home, if from the top of your hair to the bottom of your feet is all dirty. Smell again" replied Grandma.

"Have followed Grandma's orders" Grandma said again firmly.

Ahmad had no choice. He realized that he could not go home dirty and smelly. With resignation, finally Ahmad followed all the orders of Grandma.

Immediately Ahmad took off all his dirty clothes and went to take a shower. Quickly, Grandma went to Maria's bedroom and picked up a grey t-shirt with a cartoon couple and long gray training pants.

"Mary rarely wears these clothes and pants. Poor kid" thought Grandma took the t-shirt and the long training pants.

Geck. Tokkkp.

"Son.sons and pants, Grandma put them in front of the door" said Grandma from the front door.

"Yes Nek, thank you very much" said Ahmad.

After putting clothes on the chair that Grandma put in front of the bathroom, so that the clothes are not placed under the floor, Grandma went to the kitchen and made a warm drink.

Almost 30 minutes Ahmad spent in the bathroom, the smell and mud are very difficult to clean in a hurry. After the body was all clean, Ahmad wore the clothes that Grandma gave him. Then he headed to the living room and sat down on a chair.

"Son, this is the tea to drink first" exclaimed Grandma walking from the kitchen towards the living room while stirring the warm tea in her hands.

"Thank you Grandma, there is no need to bother." said Ahmad.

Grandma put tea on the table and looked at Ahmad.

"Whose name are you? " ask Grandma

"My name is Ahmad Nek" replied Ahmad while drinking tea.

"Son Ahmad, you can call Grandma, Nek Aisyah. And Grandma wanted to say thank you." said Grandma.

"Thank you why Grandma?" ahmad was confused

"You're not you, surely the mud water will be thrown towards Grandma. You see, it just so happened that Grandma just came out of your back home" said Grandma.

"Sama-sama Nek, I am also grateful because Grandma wants to help Ahmad" said Ahmad thankfully

"Yes to Ahmad"

"Who will Ahmad look for?.  You see, Grandma never saw you here" continued Grandma

Cring.. Ringgates

Ahmad's voice sounded loudly. Papa's writing on the mobile screen. A moment later Ahmad looked at Grandma. Then Grandma agreed.

"Assalamualaikum Pa"

"Yes Pa.. Alrighty.. Ahmad's coming home now"

"Wallaikumsalam pa" Ahmad closed.

"Grandfather, Ahmad apologized, Ahmad could not linger.. My sister is sick again relapsing" said Ahmad.

"Ohh. It's okay, son. Don't forget your phone and your bag. Fortunately the bag cma got a little can on the lap" said Grandma

"Yes, but my uniform?. This shirt trouser? " ask Ahmad

"You just bring it. Tomorrow afternoon you take this uniform. You also know Grandma's house" Grandma said.

"Well, Grandma, I'll wear the shirt first"

  "Yes.. Yes" said Grandma.

"Assalamualaikum Nek" Ahmad said goodbye and kissed Grandma's hand.

"Wallaikumsalam. Be careful, Ahmad" said Grandma.

Ahmad immediately went out of the village and rode his motorcycle and went home.

"Tomorrow afternoon I will return this dress to Grandma and ask her if she knows Mary". Ahmad muttered in his heart while riding his motorcycle.
