CHAPTER 8. WEDDINGS

A week has passed....

In accordance with Kanaya's agreement with Keenan's parents, today the wedding was held at the Erlangga residence with only the Erlangga family attended. While Kanaya who already has no parents and also does not know the existence of his other family is only accompanied by his sister.

Bara and Vani are present with their son-Damar, wearing costumes similar to those worn by Vino and Tania as well as Anin, as well as Arland who has been considered like a family by them.

On this happy day only Papa Bagas and Mama Vienna could not attend due to living abroad, and papa Bagas also can not travel far because of health conditions that began to decline. Hearing that, Damar breathed a rough breath and then looked back at the lover with two teary eyes. If asked how he feels right now? Of course it is definitely painful to see her lover side by side with her own brother. However, everything was already done because he had given Keenan permission to take responsibility and he only hoped that Kanaya would not become pregnant from the incident that night so that the two of them could be together again.

Kanaya's tears immediately broke after Keenan uttered the words of the Kabul ijab out loud. It should be Damar who uttered the sacred phrase in his name and not another man.

Seeing the girl who had become his wife shed tears, Keenan's heart ached because he knew they were not happy tears. I don't know how many times he said an apology in his heart.

Tania and Vino approach their son and daughter-in-law, congratulate them and embrace the newlyweds in turn.

"Congratulations, son. Now that you've become a Husband, and your responsibility is no longer only to Papa and Mama, but your responsibility will be greater to your wife." Tania rubbed the top of her son's head gently.

"Tell me a soft word to your wife. Be rebuked with gentleness if he does something wrong. Do not question his mistakes too often, and forgive him if he does wrong. Show her your love and affection, make her feel comfortable. Because a wife is the heart of the house, if the wife is not happy eating the whole house will also not be happy." Tania advised.

Keenan could only nod his head, his eyes were already glazed over.

Tania smiled, once again rubbing the head of her eldest son. Netranya can not be seen the face of his son who looks more handsome with a typical family wedding dress attached to his body. She became reminded of her husband before, Vino also did not lose his good looks when wearing a wedding dress that is now worn by her son.

It felt like just yesterday he was holding onto Keenan's tiny body, and today his son has become a husband.

Tania finally shed her tears, a sense of happiness she was unable to hide. Now his eldest son has a companion alive.

After Tania moved to hug her son-in-law, Vino approached Keenan and also gave a little advice to his son.

"Son, every marriage, every household must have their own tests. And remember, whatever test God gives in your household. You must not falter, you must be strong, strengthen your heart, persevere in accepting all His trials. For God will never test a servant beyond his means."

This time Keenan shed his tears. Well he himself knew about it. And for that he really has prepared himself from all the bad possibilities that he will receive from Kanaya.

And again Keenan was only able to nod his head speechlessly.

Keenan nodded as he rubbed the corner of his eyes, then he turned to look at his mother and wife who were still hugging. Keenan's chest was completely overcrowded looking at Kanaya's tears. However, there was nothing he could do anymore, his goal of taking responsibility was already accomplished and after this all he needed to do was prepare to accept all of Kanaya's anger towards him.

Tania breaks her embrace, wiping away her daughter-in-law's tears which she thinks are happy tears. "You are beautiful, don't cry. It's time for you and Keenan to exchange rings." Her speech.

Kanaya nodded while forcing a smile on her face. Damar said, Vino and Tania are good people and will certainly treat him well. Evidently how the two middle-aged men treated themselves like their own children several days until the wedding day.

With a slightly trembling hand, Keenan placed the ring on Kanaya's ring finger, while the owner of the finger himself threw away the face that attracted the attention of the two middle-aged pairs in the room.

Keenan had finished putting on the ring and Kanaya still did not realize, the girl still turned her face until she was stunned when she felt a gentle swipe on her shoulder.

"Kanaya, now it's your turn to put the ring on your Husband's finger." Tania said with a smile, but her smile was not as warm as before seeing Kanaya who suddenly threw away her face when Keenan put the ring on her finger.

Kanaya simply nodded, then she reached out her hand grabbed the ring and quickly paired it in Keenan's search.

Bara and Vani approach the newlyweds, hugging their eldest nephew warmly.

"Good look Aunty, I can't believe you're a husband now. It feels like just yesterday Aunty's carrying you." Vani.

Bara turned to call his son, "Damar come here and congratulate your brother." Call Bara.

However, Damar was still unmoved in his seat. Anin rubbed his cousin's shoulder while whispering. "Bang Damar come on Anin's friend."

"You alone congratulate them, Bang Damar is here." Say Damar slowly. However, it could still be heard by Arland sitting next to him.

"Your behavior will make your parents know the truth." Arland Whispe.

"Now or later they'll know, right?" Reply Damar with a cold expression.

"But at least you have to make a clear reason for your parents when Keenan and Kanaya's farewell arrives." Arland.

"That's Bang Keenan's business, not mine!"

And Arland could only sigh and not respond to Damar's words anymore.
