The two people stared at each other without speaking. Both Max and Marco only cast sharp glances at such a close distance.

"Max, I know you love Leana, but you can't be selfish." "You've had enough of Dad" Marco said first.

"Everything?"

"Yes, Dad's attention, Dad's money.company." "You know for sure, I've been jealous of you for a long time until I wanted to take everything you've got."

"Marco!" snapped Max.

"Really, right?" Marco took a step forward.

"Do you really want to stay with Dad?" Max gave his brother a sharp look.

"I just want to be recognized by Dad as his son. "

Marco's outspoken remarks made Max soften. He was silent, because there was nothing he could say anymore. His mouth is locked.

"Max, everyone knows that I'm the eldest son of the Scotts. And they always ask me why I don't hold Dad's business." "That's because I'm just Mom's son and his mistress."

"Co.."

"But you.." "You're still Dad's son, even if you're not Mom."

"Marco!"

"Okay, I'll sign the letter."

Just like Marco thought. This is the last way Marco persuaded Max. With their past stories, Max is bound to melt.

"Max.." Marco turned around by showing his sad look.

"Leave me a minute here alone." Max spoke in a trembling voice.

Unwilling to prolong business, Marco finally complies. He left before Max changed his mind.

Max sits limp. He could no longer think clearly. The Scotts family's dark past is firmly sealed. I don't know who's wrong. Clearly, their parents' decision had a big impact on Max. Mr. Scotts is married to Veronica and shortly after, Veronica is pregnant. Mr. Scotts, very pleased, granted Veronica's entire request. Their first child, Marcelino Scotts. Marco got everything he wanted. Mr. Scotts had a lot of hope for Marco. But, when he was 5, Mr. Scotts only realized that Marco was not his son. Their blood types are different. That was the beginning of the Scotts' family. Mr. Scotts is furious that Veronica is cheating. What's more, Vero is sterile so Mr. Scotts can't have any more offspring.

Finally, the enraged Mr. Scotts decides to use the services of a baby tube. He wants to have a boy. And his hopes were fulfilled when Max was born. Mr. Scotts of course turned all attention to Max. Max initially doesn't know why his Daddy loves him more than Marco. All those secrets were sealed off from Max. Until one day Max overhears his Daddy's conversation with a lawyer. Max just found out that Marco is not his brother. And Vero as well. She's not her real mother.

"Daddy why did you tell Max now?" the conversation before Mr. Scotts passed away reverberated in Max's mind.

"Max, you know why Dad didn't divorce Mom?" "Well anyway, you need a mother figure." "Dad also regrets having treated Marco badly." "Dad love you guys." "You must keep the Scotts' good name and let it be our secret." "Marco is still your brother. And take good care of him."

Unknowingly, Max's tears flowed. He could not sacrifice his family. Leana has decided to divorce without listening to Max's explanation first. So Max has to make a choice now.

Max took his phone. He no longer had the strength and energy.
