Love Live Online: A Bard Grudge
A Slave

Although it was only a short while, Renne had actually finished playing what kind of musical instrument the merchant wanted. He himself did not really understand what was felt by the man whose age was close to the head of four.

The man seemed to be nostalgic and immersed in thoughts that swept himself into a memory and memories of the past that could not be repeated.

「Successfully complete the mission.

Prize: - 1 gold coin.

1,000 experience points.

do Hien's confidence is rising.

- Getting a slave best.」

Some of the gifts promised by Do Hien have entered the inventory and have been confirmed by Renne as well.

The man seemed to have no problem with the money he had just spent. But after Renne thought about it, sometimes someone who is very rich to throw money for something that is not too useful for his own pleasure.

The man broke his own daydream and then started a conversation, “That was really beautiful,” complimented Do Hien.

Renne only glanced at him at a glance then turned her face towards the caravan containing the slaves that were about to be sold.

“Ah, as I promised.” Do Hien led Renne by swinging his hand which then referred to the wooden horse carriage.

Renne started walking, trying to tail and demand the reward promised by the merchant even though not a word came out of those pink lips.

The man then ordered one of his subordinates who then forcibly pulled a slave and dropped him on the ground.

The merchant was then surprised to see the treatment of his men, “Why are you being rude to the best slaves we have?” gusar Do Hien's.

The young man was about a dozen years old was then surprised, never Do Hien was angry like that only regarding the behavior he was accustomed to. No matter what, usually Do Hien always treated the slaves he had equally, cruel regardless of quality and never complained about his treatment.

“Ah, don't think about.” Renne finally spoke up after noticing a master's anger at her servant.

Do Hien checks the body of a slave man who he calls the best slave he has. After a while he passed by ignoring his servant as well as Renne, he finally got back on his feet.

“Luck is not scuffed. If only that happened, you would have to compensate!” threaten Do Hien with a slightly sharp look.

The waiter then bowed down and pleaded for mercy and said in a clean manner, “Pardon my servant, Mr.”

Renne is no longer interested in people who have over-dramatized the situation and wasted precious time hunting Froggie cute and disgusting.

As Renne tries to leave, she becomes attracted to a 14-year-old slave with a face covered in long hair.

“How about this one slave?” Renne tilted her head and pointed up close to the girl.

“Dia...” Do Hien's words stopped for a while, then he resumed, “He has a disease and his age is soon.”

“I want him alone,” Renne slightly smiled wryly as she watched the girl before her.

The thing that made him instantly attracted to a girl before him was that it had fiery red eyes in the darkness, it had a cold facial expression that implied a deep hatred.

“Are you sure? The slave may not be able to do much work because of his illness. Why don't you choose the slave I've chosen directly for you?”

Do Hien nodded in understanding, customer satisfaction is indeed his main goal at this time. Moreover, Renne is a person who has fulfilled the desire that he had buried for a long time in the frozen heart.

“Alright, after this there is still something to be done to tie a contract between the two of you.”

****

Already a few minutes had passed, Renne and the girl beside him had already tied contracts with each other even though the one who benefited the most at the moment was Renne himself.

The merchant slightly smiled bitterly at what he had just done and spoke suddenly, “Honestly, just, we are forbidden to sell a slave to adventurers and it has been approved and followed by all who are in the world without the slightest refusal. In fact, in the black markets at once, slaves are not traded to you who come from different worlds.”

Renne had already understood that without having to be told though. It is true that there is a rule that prohibits players from having a slave because their job is to save the world and not to enslave.

“But, from ‘they’ don't know it, you'll be fine.” Do Hien added.

Renne began to think, the word ‘they’ intended by Do Hien is definitely referring to the system that controls everything. Perhaps because the NPC had never broken their promise, the enslavement Renne had just committed went undetected by the system.

After some time, the merchant with the caravan he owned began to leave Renne and a slave girl.

“What's your name?” Renne squatted down, then slightly rubbed the girl's thick unkempt hair gently.

“...”

“Try saying your name, won't you be punished if you violate the employer's order?” renne Press.

“Ti-nothing,” wean the girl.

Renne herself was a little confused, perhaps not having a name was a natural thing for a slave.

“Can I give you a name?”

“Ya.”

Renne thought hard, “Hmm, I thought Lina's name would be interesting. Do you want it?”

“Ya.”

Usually, if the player has just completed an action, found an item, and various other things then a notification window will come out. But this time, no notification appeared.

Renne smiled brightly. Previously he was afraid that someone would betray him and decided not to trust others too much, both players and NPCs. But, since Lina was already under contract with him, he could at least calm down for now.

“Good.. We will return to the Kingdom of Vemore and cleanse yourself.”

The reason Renne received the slaves given by Do Hien himself was because he did need extra energy and divided the tasks that had been done.

Renne opens the inventory and gives the girl a robe she can wear. At least it was better than the shabby clothes he was currently wearing.

During the walk, not a single sentence came out from the mouths of the two girls. The atmosphere became awkward even so, no one had intended to start the conversation.

Until finally, they reached the gate with several guards who were seen being in charge of checking the merchants who were going home and forth.

Renne started thinking. If he does not want to be a vagabond, then he must rent an inn that is very expensive. As an adventurer, he could indeed logout at any time as desired, but Renne was still thinking about Lina's state as she left.
