Love Live Online: A Bard Grudge
Ash, Flaming Phoenix

They walked slowly to get out of the forest. Nathan himself had given some marks on the tree trunk so they did not have to worry if they just lost.

Even so, even though they cannot get lost, it does not mean they will be spared by the attacks of ferocious monsters at night. Soon they were in a race to get outside the forest first.

A few seconds had passed and they had made it out safely before the monsters attacked them. Renne's breath hunts down when he realizes he has lost against Nathan who has the edge in terms of physicality.

“You are cheating, you should have succumbed to a girl!” upset Renne, he does not accept his defeat of Nathan.

“What is that right? Though I thought you were a strong girl.” Nathan chuckles.

They realize the presence of Nathan and Renne who suddenly appear from the direction of the forest across the river. Their faces looked worried as well for no apparent reason they were grinning.

While Zerra was seen directly approaching Renne without saying anything, it seemed that the child was indeed really worried about Renne.

In the evening they burned some fish that had been caught by Artelis, everyone looked so excited because this trip felt so pleasant. While on one hand, Renne looks to confirm the medicinal plants and toxins that he has.

He intended to sort out one by one those plants. It was done so that he could concoct medicine or poison that could be used to fight monsters in the mountains.

Unintentionally Renne finds the Mysterious Box that he got from defeating the Big Boar Emperor. Curious about the contents, he intends to open it.

「Are you going to open Mysterious Box?」

「Ya.」

Renne grew curious because the light that came out was different from the previous light. He knows what the light means, the green light will give the item a mount that can be ridden.

「Get Flaming Phoenix.」

A blaze suddenly appeared from a distance towards the group of people. Everyone became on standby and Renne was no exception because she herself did not know what it was.

As the fire drew closer, a bird was seen all over its body with a blazing fire. The bird landed without giving the slightest resistance, while as a result of the flapping of its wings, the horses panicked and tried to break away from the bond.

Similarly to them, the flapping of the wings forced them to close their eyes because of the dust and the very strong wind.

When Renne realized, the bird had already approached her and asked her head to be stroked. He knew that what the bird was doing was to confirm possession.

“This ... truly amazing bird.” shrieked Renne, he was amazed because of the bird.

Renne immediately stroked the bird's head and a notification appeared.

「Successfully tame Flaming Phoenix.」

「Please give name」

Renne thought about it for a moment, she wanted to decide on a really good name because it was impossible to change the name after this. Then a name came to his mind.

「Ash」

「Successfully named Flaming Phoenix to Ash.」

“Not hot.” add Violet.

Artelis and Nathan are also seen to be attracted to the phoenix Renne has just acquired. They think the bird is really cool to ride. Especially if you take a photo with him.

“This bird is really cool!” Artelis was equally impressed.

“I don't understand anymore with your lucky level,” Nathan still can't believe what he saw. If based on the level of scarcity, then this bird is in the Legendary class.

Renne smiled slightly, she did not intend to answer the question given by them. After feeling that everyone was enough to look around, Renne turned the phoenix into a ring.

「Ash Ring, Flaming Phoenix」

A red pomegranate ring with some blazing fire effects. There is a phoenix head that becomes a decoration. The ring looks so suitable for Renne's wear.

“I'm being envious!” Violet puffed her cheeks.

“Yes, maybe this is the end of my luck.” Renne laughed a little.

After a few conversations regarding the mount that Renne had just obtained, they proceeded with sleeping and patrols taking turns. Due to the flapping of the wings of the bird, they had to lose a precious dinner.

Renne herself decides to be the first one to guard. He intended to make the best use of his time because tomorrow they would definitely be in that mountain range.

He himself was accompanied by Zerra who kept looking at him with a serious look. It certainly made the girl feel uncomfortable, but she chose to let it go.

“Zerra, can you help take a bottle of potion on the train?” renne asked, immediately the boy went to the train to carry out the task.

Renne himself intended to create a poison that resulted in a long-term attack and some useful debuff. So, he pounded and squeezed out the entire poisonous plant at the same time. Of course during the process he did it very carefully because his current actions were very dangerous.

Before long Zerra came back by lifting up a box full of empty potion bottles. He also placed it next to Renne, but after putting the box down, Zerra's consciousness suddenly disappeared.

He fell to the ground and in a panic Renne immediately helped him. Fortunately, at that time Renne did not throw or drop the poison, if I was him, I don't know what happened.

Renne tried to check Zerra's body temperature and felt that the child had a high fever.

“Is it possible for the disease to recur?” renne muttered.

Renne doesn't know much about Zerra's illness, but she can provide some first aid to ease her pain a little.

Renne drank Zerra a decoction she took from the inventory slowly. He then laid Zerra's body on a mattress inside one of the tents.

Not to forget also Renne covered Zerra's head with a damp cloth, also covered him with a warm blanket. Hope that the child will recover the next day.

After doing all that, he resumed his activities by concocting various kinds of poisons and drugs. However, while doing so, the bonfire suddenly died.

Feeling that there was nothing she could do at the moment, Renne decided to call Ash and use it as a light. He also did it carefully for fear that the flapping of the bird's wings would cause trouble again.
