Love me, Mr. Duke

Love me, Mr. Duke
Chapter 28.I Love You

...~Love Me My Lord Duke~...

Time changes, day by day passes. The news from Carxen was not heard. As long as Carxen goes to the battlefield, I take full responsibility for Callisto's residence.

I've even started managing household finances. I took care of Callisto's residence accompanied directly by Ivone and Alfonso who swiftly helped me anytime when I needed them.

It had been 20 days since Carxen's departure to the battlefield. The conflict occurred because the king gave orders to suppress neighboring countries that were already on edge. This war occurred not only for the sake of fighting for power, but also broke the chain of the spread of the outbreak in the country of origin of the virus. In other words mass murder.

Every day feels so painful for me. Endless worry and anxiety seemed to eat away at my soul. I can't even sleep if I haven't taken a sip of sleeping pills.

"I'm guessing you're here, ma'am" said Alfonso, who had just entered Carxen's office.

I stood at the corner of the window, crossing my arms to the front of my chest and looking out the window at the snow that had covered the grass below.

"What brought you here Alfonso?" I let out a heavy sigh, "Have you heard from Master Duke, or something else?"

I really miss Carxen. I never thought there would be a day when I would miss him before death.

"They're back, madam..."

I turned to Alfonso in the back.

"The knights have returned below" Alfonso said.

BRAKK!!

Ivone opened the door loudly, and ran in, "Mrs!!"

He looked breathless as if he had run out of the first floor.

"What's Ivone?"

"Master Duke Madam!!" sergeant Ivone.

I flinched, my heart pounding fast, "W-What's wrong with Master Duke?"

I stepped my foot over to Ivone, "Where is he? Say now!" I shook Ivone's body which was still choking, asking for clarity.

Ivone's eyes suddenly glazed over, his eyes filled with tears, "Mr Duke has not been found.." Ivone said softly.

"What do you mean?" I quickly turned towards Alfonso, "Please explain what happened to Lord Duke, Alfonso?"

"Mr Duke separated from the entourage once the conquest had been completed."

After hearing Alfonso's words, I immediately went out and ran down the stairs.

'No. Please survive. Don't leave me. Stay there.'

I went to the horse stall and rode the horse at full speed out of the area of the Callisto residence.

'Northern Territory or whatever it is, I don't care how far it goes. I'll keep up with you.'

Because wait a minute.

"Hey! Calm down, friend." I stroked the stallion I was riding but he suddenly lost control.

BRUCK!!!

The charcoal-gray horse ran after making me fall down on the snow.

"Don't run! Fucking horse!" yell me.

My elbow is bleeding. I've been careless for not wearing any protective gear. And now I'm lost on a snow hill somewhere.

"I can't give up..."

I stood up slowly, then stepped forward. The snow wind kept blowing from my front.

"I have to find Carxen. I'm sure he's waiting for me."

I kept walking, no matter how long it had been, but what appeared in front of me since then was endless snow.

Now I can't even tell the difference between south and north. I stopped my steps and looked at my wrist.

"There's 17 hours left..."

If in 17 hours I haven't found Carxen. Then I will never be able to see him again.

I don't want to. I reject this destiny. From the beginning it shouldn't have been like this. It's all because of that fucking dream. It is not my desire to enter this world. That's not fair. Everything is unfair.

"Buuuuu!!"

"Where are you, huh!"

"You cannot leave me!!" my yelling.

"Only I can leave you!" say me with a loud voice.

I don't even care if anyone hears it or not. I just want to scream.

"I love you!!"

"I love you so much!!"

"I love you so much, Mr. Duke!!"

My hands felt so cold, I rubbed my palms together, trying to warm myself, "Hold on.." I said slowly.

From a distance I saw a black horse walking towards me. The figure riding the horse wore a black robe that had been torn apart.

My eyes widened in disbelief, my body flinching.

'Is that you?!'
