Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
The Extra Part 1

[Sara]

When Sara woke up, she immediately saw Mom sitting next to her bed. I was reading a book in his hand. With his glasses on his face, Mom read aloud. Sara looked at the book that Mom read. It turned out to be a prayer book that Mother usually brought.

Must be Mas Agam who told Mom.

Makes sense.

After the Vian incident, Sara wakes up in the hospital. Sara told me a lot of things that happened when she was taken in by Vian.

There was not much she could remember, as Vian gave her a lot of sleeping pills. Just a few small things, like when he was taken, or when he had a chance to talk to Vian before finally being put to bed again.

“Bu ..”

For a few seconds, I did not answer. After Mom put the book in the bag and moved the bag from her lap to the sofa that was nearby, then Mom said, “You want to drink?”

Sara shook her head slowly. “Mother when to come?,” asks Sara.

“From earlier. I want to wake you up, I forbid. Let me just wait here,” replied Mother.

Sara tried to wake her body up so she could sit down. It turned out to be better than the first time he woke up who still felt dizzy in his head.

“Lho, nothing? Good wisa? (Easy?),” asked Mom while helping Sara to sit down.

“Nothing, Mom. It's been mengedingan.”

He saw his room at the moment. It's just him and Mom.

“Gam go to your in-laws room for a minute. He said he would come back here,” said Mother as if she knew what Sara was looking for.

Poor Mas Agam. Still have to take care of 2 sick people.

For a while they talked to both of them. From a small thing to a question that had revolved around Sara's head.

“What does Vian do at home, Mom?”

“Vian? He just came for a minute. Keep going again.”

“He didn't say anything?” Sara asked as quietly as possible. He did not show his anxiety, although in his heart it felt different again.

“Nno,” replied Mom briefly. “You're afraid Vian said what?”

Sara remained silent. He was like he was at the end of the road where in front of him there were already 2 paths open for him.

Stay quiet or tell Mom.

But, what came out of his mouth instead ..., “Neither, ma'am. Just surprised why Vian went there?”

Slowly, he breathed. Relieved, but still feeling stuck.

The conversation continues. This time about the others. Nevertheless, Sara remained agitated.

Both of Sara's eyes continued to look at Mother as she spoke. He was also not too late to respond to every single thing they talked about. Sara's focus was on Mom. But, she kept remembering her fear when she heard Vian's voice saying, “Follow them well, or I'll tell Mom about your contract marriage.”

From the beginning of my marriage, I always felt guilty for my mother. I lied to Mom about the purpose of this marriage. Although in the end, Mas Agam and I loved each other, but still, I could not get rid of the guilt.

The Vian incident is proof of that. With just such a threat, I was already terrified.

Vian will probably spend his time in jail. But I could have known it another way. Maybe this is a rebuke from God. Maybe this is how God told me. That he's got 1000 ways to let you know.

“Sara?”

Mother's call awakened Sara from her daydream. Even more surprised when he felt the touch of Mother who was holding her hand that was leaning on Mom's arm.

Astaghfirullahaladzim ...

Sara subconsciously held onto Mom's arm.

“What's up, son?,” asks Mom. Mother's soft voice instantly melted Sara's troubled heart.

Sara hugged Mom.

“Sara? Why, son?,” asked Mom for the umpteenth time. Her hand did not stop gently caressing Sara's head.

Sara calmed her heart first by still hugging Mom. She didn't answer Mom's question, and I also let Sara stay so without asking again.

“Bu ...,” call Sara down. He let go of his embrace and sat back down. With a single breath and a slow exhale, Sara was ready to say, “Sara can tell?”

Sara told me so well. Moreover, I listened without interrupting a bit. Smile instead. There is no anger.

Lastly, I laughed.

“Haha ..”

“Bu?” Sara began to be astonished by Mother's reaction.

“Mother already knows.”

Sara's eyes opened wide. I can't believe what he just heard.

“But what matters now is not that.” Mother brought Sara closer to him, let Sara lean on his shoulder, and gently rubbed Sara's back.

“You can see how your husband loves you so much. Let's see how Agam takes care of Mom, how she takes care of you when you're new to her. When Mom first came to your house, I saw everything. You married a good man, Sara.”

Sara nodded quickly in Mom's arms. Both of his hands now embrace Mother's body.

“Do not feel guilty to Mom. If Mother, as long as you are happy, Mother is also happy,” Mother said again. “Excuse me only to God. Not the Mother you have lied to, but Allah.”

Sara understood my mother's intentions.

Mom then let go of her embrace just to get a closer look at Sara. The tears of Sara who had dropped, then said again, “This wedding is well. That's how you beg for mercy on him.”

Sara nodded again, then hugged Mom again. This time, it was quite a while ago.

[Games]

When Sara wakes up after getting treatment from a doctor, she cries when she remembers Vian's threat. Agam who heard it, immediately understood what really happened to Sara until Vian took her.

But, Vian's problem was solved. The man was taken care of by Judah. All that's left now is Sara and her guilt.

Agam had known for a long time that Sara always kept her guilt long ago - ever since Agam heard Sara's delirium in his sleep.

And now Vian's made it worse that he was afraid that Mom might someday find out from someone else. Sara didn't want that to happen.

But, Agam felt that responsibility should be his. She's the one who should have said this to Mom, not Sara.

Sara's been burdened with her guilt all along. If the business of talking to Mom alone still has to be Sara who did it, I should be ashamed. I'm the one I should blame, not Sara.

It was only after Mom came to the hospital, before seeing Sara, that Agam took her to a place where they could talk, and tell her everything.

“This incident made Sara even more unsettled. I knew at one point he would tell Mom right away. I need to tell Mom first before Sara says it, so Mom can scold me and forgive Sara.”

Agam kept his head down as he said it, continuing to hope that Mom could understand his point. As long as Mom didn't say anything, she didn't dare to raise her head.

I don't know how long it's been. Mom just kept quiet, and Agam kept his head down. Agam could hear the whispers of those who were watching him and Mother.

“I know I have made a mistake. But it was this mistake that made me meet with Sara. Therefore, let me bear Sara's guilt. Mother may scold me, but please do not Sara,” said Agam again after long enough he waited for Mother who did not say anything.

“So, you mean ... you have no regrets about meeting Sara?” The mother who finally made a sound even asked like that.

It's getting nervous. “B-not so, Bu.” He raised his face.

“S-me ..” I don't know what to say. He does not regret it. If it's about Sara, what do you want to regret?

But, she can't say that to Sara's mother. It's a matter of life and death. Sara's life is at stake. That's what Agam always put in his genius brain.

“I once told Nak Agam, Sara is my only child. Beloved of his late father,” said Mother again.

“I know ..” Agam answered it. He's my favorite too.

Agam's head was bowed back.

“Please take me to Sara's room. We'll talk about this later after I talk to Sara,” break up Mom in the end.

“Bu ..” Agam was still trying to persuade Mother not to scold Sara. But the feeling still looks difficult.

“Nak Agam .. please, deliver me ..”

I dare not argue with him anymore. He did Mom's request without saying much more. Although his heart still felt heavy because of his worry.

“If you want to go to Widia's room, nothing to stay. Let Sara be with me,” Mother said after a moment of silence in Sara's nursery.

Mother forbids Agam to wake Sara who is asleep. They finally kept each other in the room. You know, Mom already said that.

But Agam understood what I meant.

I want to talk to Sara.

Again Agam went with a heavy heart. He even had a chance to stare at Sara who was lying down for a long time before she walked out of the room.

But, Agam was not calm. Not at all calm. Although his two younger siblings continued to call out his name, Agam did not hear him.

Wanna hear what? In his head he had already played out many scenarios. There was a time when her head was playing a drama Sara was begging her mother. There's more, I'm scolding Sara, and Sara's crying.

Right at that moment, when he imagined Sara was crying that was, Agam immediately stood up from his seat.

“Mas?” His two sisters called Agam astonished by his brother's sudden attitude.

For a moment, Agam just stiffly stood staring blankly at the distance.

After a while, she said, “A-I went to see Sara first. You guys call me if there's anything.”

He almost ran towards Sara's nursery. But the distance is not far. Just one turn, and until. But Agam was not calm.

Not even opening the door, Agam had heard the laughter of the two. His hand opened the door. He stood in front of her, sighing in relief.

Thankfully ...

......................

“I take Mom to Mama's room, after that to the lobby. Only later will I come back here again, yes,” said Agam after he kissed his wife's forehead.

Ever since Agam went into Sara's room and was about to leave for a while to deliver the in-laws, Sara had already shown signs of her happiness. He also looks calmer. Agam could breathe a sigh of relief at last.

That means he's not wrong to do this.

Thankfully ...

But the tension between him and the in-laws was still felt. From Sara's room, then to Widia's, they didn't say much. Even in the elevator when Agam drove him to the lobby, they still did not talk to each other.

However, Agam still wanted to say something.

“Thank you, Mom ...,” said Agam. “Thank you Mom would like to grant my request.”

Mother did not answer directly. He was quiet for a while.

“But ...,” said Mother at last. “I want something.”

He swallowed his saliva hard.

“What do you want? I will do it,” said Agam firmly. “Anything as long as it is not .. divorced.”

TRINGS!

The elevator doors opened, their sign had arrived at the bottom floor. She remained silent as she exited the elevator. Agam almost ran after his in-laws.

When Mom stopped suddenly, Agam immediately became tense. He was waiting for Mom to say something.

When Mom turned around, it was immediately said by her, “Goodoo.”

“I ak ..”

Agam choked at once. He wasn't focused. He originally agreed because it was not the ‘cerai’ word he heard. As long as it's not 5 letters, he's ready to say okay.

“Male, female, same. The important healthy all.”

Agam laughed, lowering his head to hide his embarrassment.

“Nak Agam still remember our conversation when I went home for the first time?”

Agam nodded his head.

“Please take good care of Sara. That's all I asked of Nak Agam,” said Mother. “And I've been very grateful.”

Agam nodded his head again. He then went forward to approach Mother and kissed the back of her hand.

“I will always look after Sara, Bu.”

“I know Nak Agam will do it,” said Mother who sounded holding back her tears while hugging Agam with warmth.

“But, grandson can also,” Mother's tease. “Five.” His mother showed his five fingers in front of Agam.

I could finally laugh with my mom. So relieving.
