Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 16-2: Preparing the Heart (POV Agam)

[Games]

As usual, after breakfast Agam came to his favorite room next to his bedroom. Usually he will be in there long enough to do all his work. His mind can stay focused there for hours.

But this time it was different.

He had been unable to focus at all since the phone he received upon entering his computer workspace.

[Flashback On]

“CALL IN FROM MAMA WIDIA. DO YOU WANT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT?,” so the notification he heard from his phone.

The mama?

“Halo, Agam? It's Mama. You at home? Mama wants to be able to talk to you alone. Maybe outside the house. Mama doesn't feel good with Sara,” Widia said as soon as she received the call.

Not good with Sara?

“You have time?”

“Talk on the phone. Sara is not here,” replied Agam flat as if not interested, when in fact he also wanted to know.

“Mama heard about the incident in NFC some time ago. Mama knows you must be angry to hear their words. Mama's also very angry, Agam. But we can't ignore all of that. What they say is there is a point. Think again, yes.”

Agam sighed slowly. Finally, he did it too ...

“You can rest at home. Let NFC be taken care of with your sister. Yea? Want, yes?,” persuade Widia as gently as possible.

“Mama has known my decision for a long time. Why do you try again now?”

“Mama did this for you, Agam. Until whenever Mama will keep trying.” Widia's voice sounded quite heavy.

“Until any time, I will also reject it,” replied Agam briefly.

Widia was silent for a moment.

“What ... Sara said something yesterday?”

He mentioned Sara's name again?

“Said what?,” asked Agam back.

Widia did not answer. It took quite a long time before Agam's question was finally answered.

“Mama worry ... Sara misunderstood Mama.”'s intentions

Misunderstand it?

What Widia said next was about her worries because Sara thought she was against Agam when she told him about the incident in the meeting room some time ago.

“Mama is not against your decision, Agam. Mama's just worried. Mama is afraid you are getting pressured by them. But, your wife instead said she was sure of you. If he says it like that, it will be the effect of Mama who is not sure about you. Though actually not so Mama,” clearly Widia at length.

“Sara said what?,” asked Agam who began to be curious about Sara's words, especially when Widia told him how Sara actually had a different opinion with her mother.

“Sara says it's not a big or small problem, but the purpose and purpose of each of your projects. Mama only ..”

The next sentence that came out of Widia, in the end was not influenced by Agam. The time seemed to stop when Widia told him about Sara who did not judge everything she did as well as those people.

Slowly, in his heart rippled the warmth that came from nowhere.

[Flashback Off]

As the call ended, Agam re-thought what had happened between him and Sara these past few days.

A good conversation between her and Sara happened a few days ago – a week more was already probably – when Widia came to this house for the last time. At that moment Sara said that word.

“You only want to marry a wife who can bear all the burden of your sins.”

That sentence ... The words that made Agam arrogant these past few days. Back then, he did not understand Sara's intentions. But now, Agam could see it.

I was too urgent ...

Then the quarrel. A quarrel that was great enough to make the girl throw him a knit shirt, then shout at him. For the first time since the girl had lived in her house, Agam had just heard her anger, making it hard for her to be able to speak.

But it was ridiculous for him. He should be able to be more mature to face a girl who just turned 20 years old. She should have been able to admit her mistake, but instead made another quarrel that provoked Sara's emotions back. Whereas if she recalled, there was nothing wrong with the way Sara spoke to her.

I was a fool, the inner Agam cursed him.

And among all that, his conversation with Mbok Jami most made his heart unsettled. Till now.

[Flashback On]

“Lho, Non Sara no breakfast? Though Mbok made ginger wedang,” said Mbok Jami who just returned from the kitchen and may also be surprised to see Sara who is no longer with Agam in the dining room.

“Wedang ..?,” asked Agam who first heard about it.

“Wedang ginger, Den. Yesterday Non looked pale. I asked him he was menstruating. It might hurt a lot, Den. Till cry hugs me.”

“Is .... earlier still visible ... pale?,” asked Agam carefully. The prestige still controlled him. He did not want to be considered too concerned about Sara. But there's nothing wrong with that. She is her husband.

“Not really, Den. It was paler yesterday. But, this might still hurt. Still looking limp,” said Mbok Jami explaining what he saw.

I felt something uncomfortable in my heart. A little restless, but the most important thing is anxiety. He's worried. Something is strange. Because he had never been so worried about this other person since his sister went to the hospital as a child.

“Please deliver breakfast and wedang gahenya to Sara's room,” Agam's word to Mbok Jami which is immediately implemented.

But shortly thereafter, Agam stopped him. “Mbok ..”

“Iya, Den?”

“Sara .. sleep in a room near the stairs.”

[Flashback Off]

Although Mbok Jami has said it, and Agam heard it well, but his worry has not disappeared. And after Widia called him, his anxiety seemed to increase.

Start him to find out about Sara's experience, but no one can satisfy him. And if this is the case, the only person who can help her is that person.

“Phone Raka.”

“BOTH, SIR. CALL IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED. CONNECTS. RAKA.”

“Good morning, Mr. Agam. Is there anything I need to do?”

Suddenly, Agam began to doubt. His tongue was too funny to speak. His lips were open, but his voice did not come out. Agam.

“Master? Hello?”

“Ehem ..” Agam cleared his throat once to answer Raka while telling her that she was there.

“A-what ... Do you know ... about menstruation?”

Honestly, he wanted to ask me something else. But that's what came out of his mouth.

“Iya, I know, Mr.”

“What ... can be given to women who are menstruating?” Finally came out that question.

“Oohh ...,” replied Raka is quite long. “Mrs Sara is having a guest?”

Agam immediately upset. “Who else is talking about guests? You understand not what I mean?”

“Iya, yes, Sir. I understand what Mr.” means Like a jockey who was calming down his huffed horse, that was what Raka was doing right now. “If I may know, Sir ask who is this for?”

“You don't need to know. Just answer my question,” hardik Agam.

“OK, okay ... Let me think for a moment. Hm ... Menstruating woman, huh? Ah ... How about food? Women if they are menstruating, their appetite must increase.”

Increased appetite? But last night it didn't feel like he was having dinner. This morning too.

“Yang other. His appetite is ordinary. Besides I don't know her favorite food.”

“I can find out Mrs Sara's favorite food if you want.” Raka seems to be looking for trouble.

“I told you it wasn't him! The other!” It is becoming more impatient.

“Street-walk! How about giving him some money to shop. Sometimes women need an impingement, Mr.”

“How can he go for a walk? His stomach just hurts!,” snapped Agam who was starting to run out of stock of his patience.

“Then just medicine for stomach cramps.”

Not a bad idea actually. But ... “Others! Mbok Jami has made wedang ginger.”

“Ooohhhhh ..” This time is very long said ‘oh’ released Raka. Longer than it was.

“What?! I'm not saying yes, no!”

“Then, this is it. Warming pillow. He said, when women are menstruating, the abdomen is compressed with warm water must feel comfortable.”

Finally, a good idea. It was supposed to contact Raka to be able to come up with a solution. Although it should be irritated as well.

“OK, that's it. You buy it keep on delivering. Give me Mr. Pardi. Later he knows what to do,” orders Agam.

“Now, Mister?”

“Yes yes now. Cook want to wait for her period again?,” said Agam annoyed and immediately ended his call. “Ending calls.”

“CALL TERMINATED.”

And Agam finally felt a bit of calm. He can focus on his work.

I should have done this earlier.
