Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 19: Too Many Surprises

[Sara]

Nothing!! Not anywhere!! Where is dong?!

Sara was already panicking at the thought of her missing ring. Vian's ring before his ex-girlfriend left for Melbourne was always worn until his wedding day with Agam. The ring that last night went missing somewhere fell in Agam's room, and he couldn't find it even when he returned to Agam's room this morning.

Yes, Sara returned to Agam's room this morning, looking for him once more when the man had already walked out of his room. Auspicious coincidence actually, because his room password was still the same the last time he went in there.

Despite all that ease, the ring remains non-existent. Sara surrenders. He can now only hope when Mbok Jami is ordered to clean Agam's room.

But, when? I don't know. For sure he hoped, Agam did not know for now.

Drrt ...

From the mother it turns out.

Today is my blood washing schedule. But Sara deliberately for today did not come to the hospital, for fear Mbok Jami still can not return, even though he said he would return today. But what is the name of the sick, who can plan?

Therefore, he called to tell Mom about this last night after all the mess that Agam made.

But what is happening now is the opposite.

“Mother again on the way to your home. This is for a driver to make anterin.”

“Kak Sarraaa ..”

“Huss ... Aunt Sara ..”

That's Nisa's voice. And, Ma'am Mina!

“I-mom why come here? Why not just go home for a break?,” said Sara who was actually giving reasons to refuse.

“Mommy does have plans to go there just like you. But since you didn't come today, I asked the driver for help. Oh yeah, Agam likes a fish team? Here's Mom bringing a team of catfish. I'm afraid your husband doesn't like it spicy, so I'm just on the team this morning.”

What else is this, God??

“Yes already, later at home, yes. This is Nisa from earlier really cool in the car.”

And the call ended.

Sara had no choice but to. .. discuss this with Agam. And that guy must still be in his study.

“What's wrong?,” asked Agam in his loud voice. Agam must have been surprised because Sara knocked on the door and opened it without waiting for Agam's order to enter.

Sara was impatient. He was already too panicked to think of Mother coming to this house.

“I-mom .. want to come here,” replied Sara in her breath that almost broke after running earlier.

“Iya, I already know. The driver said they were on their way here,” replied Agam briefly. But enough to make Sara's chest tight.

How could he be that relaxed?

Sara immediately approached Agam's desk and stood there. Faced with Agam and began to say the contents of his head.

“I m-request please, Mas. I brought food for Mas. I know Mas does not want any food other than cooked Mbok Jami. But please don't refuse Mom, yeah. I'll find an excuse so you don't have to eat it. Please yes, Mas,” pinta Sara that sounds heartbreaking.

Agam replied by nodding his head.

“Dan .. I'm sorry. Today might be a little noisy. Because Mother also came with Nisa,” continued Sara again which was again answered with a nod.

“Let's go if Mas don't want to stay down for longer, just say so. I'll anterin, or .. or .. I'll tell Mom that I want to work. Yes, Mas ya?”

Every request Sara answered with a nod without a word. But that was enough to relieve his heart even though it was not yet completely. Because the real test is when the storm comes.

......................

“Tante Saraaaaa ..”

Nisa's call was so loud as soon as the little girl got out of the car. He ran straight to Sara who had been waiting in front of the fence since the phone call from Mom who said they were almost there. Nisa immediately hugged Sara to make Sara carry her.

“Nisa scolded mama for calling Kak Sara,” whispered the girl in the ear of Sara who invited her laughter.

“Kok Nisa coming? Not a school? Stupid yaa?,” asked Sara as she hugged her. Nisa is still in PAUD. Sara knows Nisa's school only 3 times a week. He likes to tease the little girl.

“Kan school holiday. Mas Nino who is not off.”

As soon as she saw Mama with Mina's mother who got out of the car, Sara immediately dropped Nisa from her carrier and approached her to give her greetings.

“How are you? Healthy?,” asked Mom while hugging Sara.

“Health, Mom. How's mom? Tasty?”

“Health, really. Healthful. Where to gourmand? Work, yes?,” asked Mother again after not seeing Agam with Sara.

“I-iya, Mom. It was delicious again above. There's unfinished work. Later when it is finished usually down, Bu.” Sara began to reason.

No more waiting. Sara immediately let Mom into the house. With the help of Mina Ma'am who brought Mother's luggage. Those who had been fascinated with the splendor of the house of Agam, finally entered the house with Sara.

Sara and Mom were unpacking a bag of shopping bags that Mom used to bring to the minimarket. The patin fish team has been successfully removed from there, and the smell of delicacy is already abundant to fill the dining room once removed. Mbok Jami to join in seducing Mother to be told the recipe. Of course I'll give it to her.

“Mother doesn't know your husband's favorite. Here I bring also fried chicken together. What was yesterday? Like?”

Sara's tongue suddenly became a cloud. Sara's chicken was given to Mr. Pardi to share before the incident with Agam and his mother. Where would you eat it.

“S-like ...,” the answer is short but also lies.

May you not ask Agam anything, his prayer in heart.

Sara immediately turned to look for the origin of the voice that turned out to be Agam.

“Waalaikumsalam, Nak Agam.”

“Sara, can you come here for a moment?,” call Agam which even makes Sara astonished.

But Sara did it anyway.

“What's up, Mas?,” asked Sara who bowed and whispered in front of Agam.

But the man raised his right hand before Sara. All Sara did was look at him in confusion.

“Give me your hand,” said Agam again.

Both of Sara's eyes gnawed many times. Although Agam is not usually like this, but Sara still put her hand on the open palm of Agam.

Agam then turned Sara's palm up, then wrote something with her index finger.

Aahh .. he wanted to signify, the mind of Sara who finally now understands the meaning of Agam.

“Please take me to Mom,” pinta Agam in her signal. “I want to say hello to Mom.”

His heart immediately felt warm. Trenyuh saw Agam wanted to do that, although in fact he could not do it. And even more so, in a condition where Agam has a disorder of his own.

Sara then clenched Agam's right palm, then took out her thumb and little finger. Meaning, yes.

Slowly, Sara pushed the wheel chair of Agam who had already switched to manual. Once the distance between them was enough, Sara called Mother who then turned to face Agam with her distinctive smile. Sarah then took Agam's hand, and led him into Mother's.

The mother, who understood Sara's intentions, quickly welcomed her daughter-in-law's hand.

“How is Nak Agam?,” asked Mom when she hugged Agam once she finished kissing the back of her hand.

Sara was surprised not to play when Mom did that. But it's too late to stop him. However, there were no signs of Agam's anger afterwards. A little quiet, but also cautious.

Don't let there be a second time, Sara, her inner self.

“Good, Mom. Mother how? The doctor said Mom's condition has stabilized lately. Only ask if the mother's tension needs to be monitored. Are you thinking a lot?”

Again. Sara was shocked again. He's been watching her all along.

“Nno, Son. I've been sleeping less lately. Don't know why it's so hard to sleep,” said I explained.

“Kok Mom never told Sara?”

“Mother don't want to make you worry. But this is your husband already knows first,” said Mother while laughing on the sidelines.

“Kok Mas also never told?,” protest Sara to her husband without him knowing because of his regret for Mom.

“Same as Mom. Afraid you think,” he replied. Then then, said to Mom, “Let's tell the doctor about this.”

Mother then called Nisa to greet Agam.

“You must be Nisa, huh?,” asked Agam as Nisa kissed the back of her hand.

“Iya, Om,” replied Nisa.

“Kata Aunty Sara, Nisa loves donuts, huh?”

Sara immediately nodded, although Nisa herself was very excited to answer Agam's question.

I never said that. But the question is, how does he know?

“There are some who come with donuts. Later take home also for Mas Nino, yes.”

Nisa just cheered, but then reprimanded by Mbak Mina for forgetting to thank.

Today, Agam gave him a lot of surprises. Not to dislike her, Sara even occasionally smelled her smile without her noticing. Too many surprises are also not good for the heart. Surprised many times coupled with happiness will only make the heart work faster than usual.

......................

Sara's new job starts at lunchtime. Sara's mother was busy preparing lunch on the dining table with the help of Mbok Jami and Mbak Mina. While Nisa and Agam are ready on their respective benches in front of the dining table.

Sara swallowed her saliva along with her word on the brain in her head to work to find an excuse. At that time, he was watching Mother was peeling the fish from her spoons in her hands. Every now and then with her hands washed clean before dissecting the fish, Mother plucked out the visible thorns. Then then, scoop him up to be moved to the dinner plate in front of him. Sara was sure it was for Agam.

“This is the name of the catfish team. Bentar yes, I separated the durinya first. If this fish is big. Like a fish. The meat is soft too. So, it's good to be immediately chewed later,” said Mother whose hands did not stop working.

Mbok Jami was already standing there with an anxious look at Mom. What Mbok Jami thinks of Sara is the same.

Just like his mother, Agam refused. Especially with Mom.

“Bu, here let Sara prepare for Mas Agam. Mom eat first. Mas Agam lunch is still at half-time later. If now Mas Agam still want to go up first. There are usually online meetings above. This is Sara going to take you there. Mom wait here first, yes.” Sara continued to reason.

Fortunately, I'm not as difficult as Widia. If Sara had said that, I wouldn't have denied it.

But Agam had a different opinion.

“Meetingnya was finished earlier. Now I'm hungry. Can you please give me the fish? I also want to taste,” said Agam without any burden at all.

CLING, CLANG!

The spoon in Sara's hand slid smoothly from her hand to make a loud noise in the dining room. Sara's own mouth continued to gap as she stared at Agam in astonishment.

So sweet of him from now on. But why did you suddenly refuse to cooperate?
