Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 36: Return to Zero Point

[Sara]

Almost an hour Sara could only cry sitting outside hearing the screams of Agam that did not also subside. Several times Sara still tried to enter, but Raka kept her in her way.

Three days without food – only once he ate from what Arya brought, it was only a few bribes – Sara was too weak to fight Raka who was tall stout. Now he regrets it.

I should have eaten even a little, so that I might have some energy.

After more than two hours, Agam may start to get tired. His cries the longer the slower and the more inaudible. The voice in Agam's room was getting quieter.

Right at that moment, Raka stood up and immediately went inside. Sara rushed to her feet and caught up with Raka, but Raka was faster than her. When Sara tried to move the doorknob, the door did not open. Raka locked.

Again, Sarah had to wait.

Maybe almost half an hour passed, Raka finally came out. He met Sara who was still at the door.

“Master Agam wants to meet.”

A sentence he had wanted to hear for a long time. It feels really relieving. I finally got to meet him.

Raka leads the way. He opens the door to let Sara in. And what he saw in there really hurt his heart.

Many shards of shard on the floor, no matter what furniture. It could be a table lamp, because only the main light above is on. Nakas, chairs, sleeping utensils were all strewn across the floor. It was as if he had just turned his room upside down.

Sara looked at the figure of the pale man who was still in the same clothes as the one she saw last time. White t-shirt and trousers. He was sitting on his wheelchair. His breathing was hunting, his hair was not neat as usual, his seat was bent hard to stay upright because of the lack of energy he had at this time.

“Mas Agam ..”

“Stop there, Sara! Just stand there and listen to me! Because I won't be able to listen to you!” Agam may look still limp, but the words sound firm and serious. Agam does not want to be disputed.

What does it mean to not be able to listen? Why the hearing aid?

Sara looked towards Raka hoping for an answer. But Raka's answer is only short, “Help tool is broken, Madam.”

He saw Agam who was about seven steps away from him. It's been this close, but still not allowed to approach.

“You want to know why I asked you to stay away from Mama, right? Now I explain to you!” Agam's tone of voice continued to rise. His emotions were still not gone even though his strength had already diminished.

“Two years ago, I woke up unable to see or hear. No doctor knows what the cause is. Then I went abroad to find out the cause. And they said I consumed a certain obbaatt that was banned for a long period of time.”

Sara covered her gaping mouth with both hands. Don't say ...

“You know who did it for the past 2 years before I lost my ability to see and hear? Yes, Mama.”

So that's the reason. The reason why Mas Agam always avoid Mama. The reason for all the rejection. Oh Allah ...

“I found evidence that Mama did it all to make me helpless. Even my second-leg therapy failed because of that obbaatt. I was paralyzed by someone I trusted so much for years. Mama even treated me the same way she treated Arya and Ava. But it turns out .. This is what I got.”

Sara who saw that was also unable to hold her own. She was crying with Agam.

“And now, you know what happened?”

Agam held the handle of his wheelchair. He raised his body by resting on both hands. Agam. But a split second later, he fell down.

Seeing that, his entire body seemed to have obtained an order that he was unaware of to immediately advance. His hands were already wide open to help Agam. But just a few steps away, Raka stood in front of Agam, blocking Sara from advancing any closer.

Why did he fall? He could stand at that time. What's the matter?

“You saw for yourself, right? Did you see that time? I can stand on both my legs even though it's not stable. But now ... now ... You saw it for yourself, right?”

Why could this be? What the hell's going on?

“The obbaatt addiction managed to weaken my muscles again. My efforts over the past 2 years have been in vain. I'm back like I used to be, Sara!!” He screamed very loudly. It might even force his vocal cords to shout louder than he can afford.

His loud voice pierced straight into Sara's ear. Causing Sara was fixated until she could only sit down while letting out her tears that had not been exhausted.

He's blaming me. She thinks I have something to do with Mama. That's why he's angry.

Agam has now been sitting leaning on the nightstand left in the corner of the room. Unlike that time, Agam now has difficulty moving both legs. To lean on the nightstand alone, Agam had to string his body together.

Sara was unable to hold back her tears.

“Let me talk to him. Let me get closer,” pinta Sara to Raka who hopes Raka can convey it to Agam.

Raka approached Agam. Slowly he touched Agam's hand, opening his palm open upwards. Raka started to gesture.

Agam.

Without the slightest pause, Sara immediately advanced as soon as Agam agreed to it. Now Sara is holding Agam's palm.

In her gesture, Sara said, “I swear I don't know anything about the obbaatt. It wasn't me who did it, Mas.”

“Then, who? Who am I to blame, Sara? You or Mom?,” timpal Agam that makes Sara surprised.

“Why do I bring Mom into this?”

“I have to how, Sara? Tell me, what should I do if they find that obbaatt in the rendang. Yes, the rendang you said was sent by Mom, Sara.”

Sara was instantly stunned.

No, it is impossible ...
