Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 37-3: A Long, Messy Night (POV Arya)

[Aryan]

Arya deliberately came home early today. He was still worried about his brother. In her head continued to cross the shadows of Sara's pale face, her three-day sister-in-law was unwilling to eat.

I am thankful that he ate earlier. But it remained unbalanced by the length of time Sara's stomach was left empty without food or drink.

His hope was like being granted by God when he saw the door of Agam's room, the elder brother opened, and there were no people standing guard in front of him.

Means ... “Mas Agam is awake?”

But what he saw was beyond what he had imagined.

The messy state of the room, the chaotic Agam, and Sara who ... cried?

Sara's mom crying?

“What is this?”

He asked everyone who was there no one answered him. He was almost emotionally charged, but still held back.

He slowly wanted to find the answer to Sara, but what he found was that his sister-in-law fell and fainted.

“Mbak Sara! Doctor!”

Arya immediately carried Sara's body onto the bed that was in the open room probably by Sara earlier. Without thinking long. Given the condition of Agam's room earlier, the room was the one that Arya entered directly. The important thing is there's a place for her sister-in-law to lie down.

But, when he was about to bring Sara, a figure of a man he knew was at his sister's house at this time inviting big questions in his head. Yudah?

Nope. That's not the priority now. He needs to be sure Sara's okay. He was waiting for the doctor to check on him.

The doctor immediately attached the innffuus to Sara's body. And lastly, the doctor said, “Mrs need rest at this time.”

Thankfully ...

Arya was just about to come out, when her eyes were fixed on a photo sitting sweetly on a table. Sara photos with a woman and a half-old man that Arya believes they are both her parents, or maybe someone very close to Sara. Because they look so sweet and warm in the photo.

The two eyes of the man on his left are somewhat different from those of the general public. Arya was sure, the man was blind.

Surveyed it again the whole corner of the room. Some unusual items are in the guest room. Most of it belongs to a woman. Jackets, dolls, combs, there's no way a guest room provides all of that.

Sara's Mother's? Why is Sara's stuff here?

Yuda!

Arya suddenly remembered Yuda back. Soon he came out of the room and went to look for her.

The last time he saw her, Yuda was going to Agam's room, but Raka who was standing in front of him said the man had already come out.

Arya followed the lead. He could see the sturdy body of a man who was smoking his rookkok. Arya immediately approached Yuda.

“I'm sure you know everything. That's why you're here. What really happened to my sister?”

The grip of Arya's hand on Yuda's shirt caused the man to be quite surprised even to the point of releasing the rookkok in his hand. The sharp look in Yuda's eyes meant that the man did not like Arya to treat him that way.

“You sure you can hear it? If you're ready to hear the truth, I'll tell you everything right now. But, if you're not ready, you better let me go before I beat you.”

Arya fell silent as Yuda said that. A few seconds later, he let go.

Arya sat on the bench on the terrace, then sighed.

“What does the doctor say?,” asked Yuda who was also sitting on another terrace bench.

“Lack of nutrients. Body weakens. For three days he did not eat. I persuaded him many times, he only ate once, willing to wish what? He can still stand it's already good.” Arya said as she leaned against the bench and relaxed her back muscles, looking at the night sky that touched the artificial lake water in front of Agam's house.

Yuda was silent for a moment. But then, she said, “One thing you should know about your sister. He became like this because he was too disappointed. His heart is too sore.”

“Does this have anything to do with my mama?,” asked Arya softly.

“You already know?”

“What do you get?”

“Mama caused the accident. He paid people to crash Papa's car.”

Yuda took his breath. “Besides?”

“Not yet.”

Judah revives another rookok, then sucks it.

“Two years ago, your sister left home. He went to medical abroad. Singapore, Germany, last in Japan. From the treatment, the conclusion was taken there is a drug that weakens to shut down the muscles in your brother's organs that cause some organ functions to randomly malfunction. And the devil chose his eyes and ears. That's the cause of your brother's blindness and deafness.”

Arya swallowed her saliva hard. This was another piece of information that was just as shocking as the moment he received the information about the accident.

“After the accident, your sister went to therapy many times to recover both legs, but always failed. And at that time, Agam knew what caused it.”

And it continues ...

“The only way to be able to recover everything is to clean the raacuun in your brother's body, then start the therapy process for recovery. The condition is only one, your brother can not consume the obbaat again. If it happens, the process goes back to zero.”

Yuda sighed long enough, letting out rookook smoke from his mouth. “And that's what's happening right now. The oobaat reentered his body, and since Agam's body had recognized him, he reacted immediately. All his efforts just disappeared.”

“High temperature for 3 days 3 nights, it is the same symptoms as 2 years ago.”

“What does all this have to do with my mama?,” asked Arya.

“Oobaat it is an oobaat that terrlarrang because of its harmful effects. Widia ordered the drug from a terrlarrang oobaat dealer overseas. The seller keeps records, photos, and also clear videos with his voice.”

It's all really crazy ...

“Mas Agam has proof. Why not just jail him?” Arya might be able to say it. But his hands were clenched very hard. He clenched his teeth. Some of his heart was unwilling, but others said they should.

“It's not that easy, Arya.”

“Because he thinks of me. Right, right?”

“That's what Agam told me. But I'm sure he had another reason. And I'm also sure you know why.”

Because he loves Mama. That's what Mas Agam said at the time.

“I love Mama like you love her.”

After all, their relationship was very good first.

“Then, who exactly is Sara? Is she really Mas Agam's wife? It felt too sudden when I heard the news that Mas Agam was married. They looked happy before. But what happened the last three days, plus what I saw in the upper room earlier, my suspicions resurfaced.”

“Sara is just a person who is in the right time but with the wrong fate. If his life had been better, their story would probably not have been like this, ” Yuda replied.

“But why did Mas Agam blame everything on Sara to the point that he treated her like that?,” asked Arya whose tone slightly raised.

“I'm sure your sister also knows Sara is innocent. It was his fear that had blinded his mind.”

Yuda throws his rookook hump onto the floor and steps on it. He breathed once.

“Keep now how? Mas Agam can not keep this up.”

“I've scolded Agam. They may have started the wrong way. But their hearts at this moment would not be wrong. We might have trouble handling your Mas. But I'm sure Sara can handle it.”

This time, it was Arya who let out her breath. Given everything that had happened lately, he also agreed with Yuda.

Hopefully so ...
