[Sara]
Sara looked at the back porch from the sofa she was sitting on at the moment. Empty views. But his memory cannot be separated from the figure of Agam sitting facing the green pasture that transverse in the backyard.
“Tuan Agam wants to say he wants Madam to continue life without him,” said Raka who had said this and that which he said was a message from Agam.
Wh why? Why did he decide it himself?
That was all Sara thought about right now. Why wouldn't Agam tell me what he's really up to right now? Can't Sara just stay with him and go with him?
He is selfish! Just thinking about her own feelings!, Sara collapsed in her heart which was currently furious at Agam. Her tears kept falling one by one
“I-this is the letter of this house and also the car ownership letter. Mr. Agam wants the Madam to have it,” continued Raka again.
Sara did not look at it one bit. His gaze was still fixed on the view of the courtyard on the back porch with a heart full of distress due to mixed emotions. Angry, sad, worried, whatever the name is. But one thing is clear, Sara already misses him.
“I don't need this house or a car,” said Sara Lirih.
“Master Agam wants ... Madam can stay with Madam here.” Raka sounds pretty heavy saying it. Sara did not want to know how her face looked right now.
Did he forget that I had my own home?
“Treatment of Madam will continue. With this car, Mr. Agam hopes to help deliver Madam and Madam wherever you want.”
Did he forget that there are now online taxis?
Raka was silent for a moment. You may also be thinking about what to say next.
“I-this is a check from Mr. Agam. Madam can write for herself how much nominal the Madam requested. This money is un..”
“Mas Agam go where?” Sara's gaze turned to look at Raka who was still holding the check that was being placed on the table without caring at all about the check.
“S-about it ... Mr. Agam does not want the Madam to know.”
“Then that is the case, I ask for his current contact.” As soon as Sara heard Raka say Agam was gone, she immediately contacted Agam. But not connected.
“S-soal it ..”
“I want to hear him say it.”
Raka fell silent. Can't say anything. His sweat was pouring out earlier. His hand now moved from the check sheet to his wet forehead.
“S-I also don't know Mrs.”
Sara grunts. His eyes shifted again to the back porch.
His tears still continued to fall because of his regret that had reached his crown.
It's only natural that Sara's angry. Glamour left without saying anything. After they spent some time together these past few days. He felt like he was being lied to.
Big lie!
Sara rubbed back her tears violently. He looked back at Raka. But Sara was shocked as she looked at the different person who was currently sitting opposite her.
“Arya? When did you come?”
Sara gawked to the right and to the left, but there was no one there other than the two of them.
“Then I told you to wait outside, Ma'am,” said Arya who seemed to know what Sara was thinking.
“I'm just here to see how things are. Mommy okay?”
Sara shakes. “Mas Agam just left. Nonsensical. There's no explanation. Just nitip that. How can I be okay?”
Sara pointed to the things that Raka had given her to Arya who was on the table. Then I looked back at Arya.
“What did Mas Agam say where he was?” Sara's still trying to figure it out.
That Raka might not have been told. But if Arya is his sister.
But, Arya shook her head instead.
Sara's long breath blows a sign she is letting go of her disappointment.
“Mas Agam forbid I tell this to Mbak. But I think Mbak deserves to know.”
Arya then tells how Sara could be free at that time. Whatever Agam did to set him free. And Agam's plan after he no longer takes care of the NFC.
It's gone from the sheets of tissue on the table. Sara was already unable to hold it out any more when she knew Agam had released the NFC for her sake. The company he kept protecting to the point of eroding all his physical abilities one by one. Just let go.
“If I knew Mas Agam would make a decision like this, I would definitely ban him,” Sara said in her sobbing.
“He loves NFC very much. Now that she let go of him just like that,” roared Sara in her tears.
“Mas Agam still loves NFC. But he loves you more Mommy.” Arya defended her brother.
But still ...
Sara continued her roar of tears. He took it by force with the tissue that was in front of him.
“If he really wants to recover, why can't I come? At least he can do what I want? If I say I don't want to, then he can go!”
An hour or so Sara mentioned Agam's name only to vent her anger, with her sobbing tears.
Angrier when he found out, Arya was not told where Agam was going.
Arya just listened that long. Later, she continues to receive Sara's anger to replace her beloved sister.
So calm, Arya started asking, “What will Mbak do now?”
Is correct. What am I gonna do now?
Sara looks back at the back porch. Her blank look indicated Sara was thinking about something else in her mind.
“Go home,” says Sara Lirih. “Ke Home Mom.”
“Mbak sure you want to go home?,” asked Arya. “This is home too. Mas Agam give ..”
Sara cut Arya's sentence. “This is the home of Mas Agam.”
He looked at the corners of the house from where he was sitting at the moment. It turned out that many of his memories were with Agam in this house in their short marriage.
Laughter, sadness, anger, pain ...
Sara wiped her tears, then said, “Mas Agam built this house before she returned to Indonesia. All corners of this house have been carefully thought out. Mas Agam is the soul of this house.”
His views now turned to Arya. “And without Mas Agam, this house is just a regular house. Like an empty shell.”
Arya was unable to find the right word to chimed in Sara's sentence. He fell silent and lowered his head.
After a while of tidying up some of her belongings, Sara finally returns home with Arya.
Still crying with Mbok Jami, Pak Pardi, and several other workers before leaving. Only after that did Sara leave. The car and driver that Agam had prepared for him were just left behind.
......................
“Sara?”
Mother who was watering plants on the front fence was so surprised when she saw the figure of her only daughter coming. Sara hugged him.
A very tight hug given Sara like she was releasing her longing as if she had just met after years apart. The tears that came down immediately wiped away so that Mother did not worry about her return.
Arya said goodbye later when she had given her luggage bag with Sara. Mom could see it.
But the biggest news could have just been made by the neighbors who saw Sara.
Sara doesn't care. He asked Mom to go into the house.
As if nothing had happened, Sara entered the house naturally. He showed me how much he misses the house. He carried his briefcase into his old room, then laid himself on the bed.
Nothing has changed. Apparently Mom let her room stay the same as it used to be. There was no sign of dust in her room indicating that she was diligent in cleaning it.
Slowly Mother sat beside Sara while continuing to intensely look at her daughter with a gaze full of questions.
In her lying position, Sara almost laughed to see Mother who seemed to want to ask but was still waiting for the right moment.
“Mother why the hell? How can you not like Sara coming home?,” joked Sara teases Mom.
“Not that. I'm worried about you guys. You suddenly come home like a suitcase. You guys quarrel?”
A fight? Mas Agam even still kissed my forehead last night.
Sara did not answer. He moved his head over Mom's lap and hugged her while lying down. Dunked his face in Mom's stomach.
Slowly she felt Mother's hand caressing the top of her head. A gentle touch she had not felt for a long time. Sara felt warmth at every touch Mom touched her head.
“Suami wife if quarrel is common. But do not let the house separate like this. Better talk about it well.”
Every word you said, Mom's hand must have been stroking Sara's head.
Sara almost cried in hiding. Her tears came out a little, but it fused directly with Mom's clothes.
Sara sat down in front of my mother. He is now ready to tell a story.
“Mas Agam plans to go abroad for treatment. Very long. Do not know when to return,” so the story, a little lying.
“If so, you must come," replied Mother firmly.
