Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 6:3 Days 3 Nights

[Sara]

A week ago, Sara officially became Agam's wife. Being the family of a man she only knew for less than a week, then living in a luxurious mansion belonging to the person she referred to as husband. A week has ...

And within that week, Sara learned a lot about ‘suami’nya it.

Like for example, Agam will be in the dining room for breakfast at half-eight. Then after that, he will work in his computer workspace.

As Raka explained, Agam has 2 workspaces. One is the workroom on the lower floor, where he usually meets with Raka or does something that does not require computer work.

And the other is a computer workspace on the top floor, next to Agam's room. This is where Agam works on his projects. Because in there is a computer with a super fast processor flagship Agam which is also equipped with features that can be used Agam as a disability. If so, that means Agam will languish long enough in there until he is tired or his job is done.

“Other times there is no need to wait for me,” said Agam times when they were having breakfast. Agam said so after he found Sara was waiting for him in the dining room. “You can have breakfast first if you are hungry.”

“I ... It's okay to wait. Just a few minutes.”

“Not every meal hour I'll come on time. Sometimes I don't come at all. Sometimes I eat too late. So, no need to wait. Eat it if you are hungry. Mbok Jami will make it for you.”

As a result, every morning, Sara would peek from the door of her room which was near Agam's room. Making sure Agam had passed his room, then he just went out and went down to the dining room. So that he could be in the dining room (at least) along with Agam or later than Agam.

Mbok Jami is a domestic assistant who works at Agam's house. Raka said, Mbok Jami had long worked for the Agam family even before Agam was born. In addition there is also Pak Pardi, husband of Mbok Jami who is in charge of taking care of homework that is usually done by men, such as taking care of a car or park. Together with other household assistant – who is also a very long time worker working for Agam –, they work to take care of that vast 2-story house.

It's not called if the house is ordinary. Inside was a lot of high-tech equipment created by him. Call it a robot waiter. He made one for Mbok Jami who alone takes care of the house. The robot can not only clean the dust as well as mop it, but also help deliver goods. Drink for guests, for example.

“There are thousands of sensors installed in every tile in this house. The sensor will signal your wheelchair every time you enter a command on the screen attached to the back of your chair. So, the wheelchair is special you wear when at home. When out of the house, different again,” so said Raka as she explained it with pride.

Raka also told me that Agam has a very strong memory. Although both eyes are not functioning, but Agam can remember the position of the object he touched. Therefore, even with her condition, she could type with the keyboard or press the command screen on her wheelchair.

“Tuan can even still play the piano smoothly,” exclaimed Raka with his haughty style.

And on that basis too, all the goods in this house should not be moved without Agam's knowledge.

But, behind all the stories about the greatness of an Agam, it turns out there is a story that is not written in all the articles that Sara read.

“Mr Agam has trouble trusting people he doesn't know. Therefore, all those who work here are people you have known for a long time, including me,” explained Raka one day.

Like when Agam was treated abroad, Raka was assigned to investigate the background of everyone there, doctors, nurses, even cleaning officers.

“That means, he investigated me before asking me to be his wife,” Sara said.

And Raka just smiled, then nodded once.

“But, why does Mas Agam not believe in his own mother? He asked me to protect him. Did something happen?,” asked Sara as soon as she remembered Agam's request.

“On that, only Mr. Agam can explain it,” as soon as Raka answers.

So, what is it about Mas Agam and his mother?

But Sara's next question is explained by Raka, “Is Mas Agam always like that? Always be on the lookout for everyone.”

The answer adds to Sara's list of questions about Agam.

“The lady must have read the article about Mr. Agam. Almost all articles tell about the accident that Mr. Agam experienced 5 years ago, which caused Mr. Wirasurya, Mr. Agam's father became a victim of the accident.”

Sara nodded her head. Agam's father died in the accident, and Agam became paralyzed from the accident.

“But, Mr. Agam's blindness and deafness happened 2 years ago. No media knew at the time. Because you are rarely seen in public. Staff, business partners, or even close colleagues only know a few moments, when Mr. Agam back.”

No news can be said about this ...

One night, Agam suddenly developed a high fever. No one knows the cause, including the doctors who came to treat Agam at that time. All tests are done, but no one can explain the cause. Finally, all focus was on lowering his fever.

For 3 days and 3 nights, Agam was given medicine, injected, infused, and even soaked in cold water to bring down his fever. But, nothing works. It was as if he was being tortured to endure all that pain.

On the fourth day, just as when the fever appeared, Agam fever just disappeared. But leave a new problem. The senses of sight and hearing stop working. He became blind and deaf.

At that moment, Agam became very angry. He kept shouting out his anger. He had a hard time accepting the fact that he had lost his sense of sight and hearing. Agam who is known to be great with all the goods of his creation when it became worse. All he did was lock himself in the room.

I don't know what happened, 3 months after that, Agam decided to go for treatment. Without telling anyone, including his family, Agam leaves with Raka. He also did not tell anyone where they were headed.

When Agam treatment abroad, for example. Not everyone he allowed to approach him before he knew the background of the person. If that person forces, Agam's anger will spiral out of control. He could hurt anyone.

“Mas Agam also does not tell what makes it like that?”

Raka shook her head. “Not all things are told Mr. on me.”

What really happened to Agam 2 years ago before he decided to go abroad? What does he know but not know about others?

“If Mas Agam goes for treatment, then why is he still ..”

Sara did not continue her sentence. But, Raka seemed to know what to ask her.

“Master worried about the company as long as he left. Several times Mr. received reports about the protests of some members of the board because Mr. Agam went too long without knowing the clarity. Even though at that time, Mr. routinely conducts meetings online, and still launches new products. Therefore, Master is back. But do not explain more about his health or treatment.”

Was the treatment unsuccessful? Did he give up?

Sara then cursed herself.

No, Sara. Don't feel pity. Just do your job. Don't mind the others.

Is correct. The focus right now is just Agam's mother, somehow the person. He only hoped that no other surprise could defeat his surprise when he heard the story about Agam's life.

......................

What was not easy for Sara when life became Agam's wife was the stiff and tense atmosphere between them while they were together. Even in the dining room they just sit together and enjoy their own food. Without many words. I only talk if there is something he needs to say. No more than that.

If so, Sara did not know what she had to do to break the cold between them. There, he just became tense every time he was near Agam.

Out of the dining room, Agam was already busy with his work, as was Sara. Despite being housemates, the intensity of their meeting could be calculated during that week. Sara only saw him once, and again, there was nothing she could say to say hello. In the end, they were like two strangers living under one roof.

This morning, it felt so different. Sara was able to breathe a sigh of relief when Agam left for the office this morning.

Agam only asked him to stay at home to enter the data of the project results into his computer system, which will be used in the meeting at 10 hours later.

Yes, it was one part of the job Agam said at the time he submitted the agreement. Agam asked Sara to change the report from the research staff into software that had been installed on a laptop provided to Sara. Later the report will be converted into a form that can be understood by Agam.

Raka said, the software was just a test, Agam still has not had time to update it again. It cannot be used directly by staff. But, it can still be used by Agam even though it still has to be helped manually.

In addition to having to enter data into the computer system Agam, Sara also had to change the archive or document data that must be read Agam into Braille form.

I really did investigate about Sara. He even knew of Sara's abilities. Something that Sara has long mastered because her late father was also a deaf-blind person with a disability, just like Agam. Sara's father is also mute.

All the work that Agam asked for was done Sara, and she would be free until lunch. Not knowing what to do, Sara decides to go downstairs and look for Mbok Jami.

I can do anything to help him. Washing, cooking, I don't know, anything, rather than doing nothing like this, she thought.

And Sara was just done with the dirty dishes in the sink, when she heard the conversation of two men and women coming from outside the kitchen.

“How long has Agam been staying here?”

“It's been 2 months, Mistress.”

That's the voice of Mr. Pardi, Mbok Jami's husband. But, that woman's voice, who?

Hearing from Mr. Pardi's polite and humble tone, Sara judged the woman called Madam was a person whose level was above Mr. Pardi.

“Oh, it must be Madam,” said Mbok Jami who was suddenly already behind Sara.

“Whose name is it, Mbok?,” asked Sara back.

“Manya Den Agam.”

DEG!

Sara was wrong.
