Part 52-4: Another Story in Japan

[Sara]

“Why don't you talk to me first?,” asked Sara.

After asking Raka to wait, Sara invites Agam to talk in one place that is still around the house.

Agam recounted how he accidentally heard his conversation with Mom. And therefore he asked Raka to come.

“Sara ... listen first ...,” pinta Agam tries to say something in between the anger of Sara who has not subsided, even though Agam has already held Sara's hand and rubbed it gently, thinking maybe that way can ease his emotions.

“Mother said it's okay if I don't go back to Indonesia first.”

“Iya, I know. But we both know how Mom is. He will not mind, especially if you have asked for it,” continued Agam. “But, I know you better, Sara. I know you really want to be able to accompany Mother.”

“I also want to accompany Mas,” protest Sara.

“I know, Sara. I know,” persuade Agam even softer. He pulled Sara's hand closer. “You want to be able to accompany both of us at once if you can. But we also know it is impossible.”

“Mas ..”

“Listen to me first, Sara ..” Agam's hands began to look for the side of Sara's face and leaned there. “I also want you to stay here with me. But the surgery I had was just a minor operation. While Mom will have a major operation, much more dangerous than me. I need you there, Sara.”

Sara started to shed her tears. Glamor erased slowly with his thumb.

If only I didn't have to choose.

“Think again, Sara. I was accompanied by Mina. But you're the only family Mom has. The doctor will always look for you, because you are his family. Mina won't be able to do that to replace you.”

“I promise I'll face this together,” isak Sara.

Agam's two hands now cupped Sara's face. He gently wiped his wife's tears while showing her a smile.

“We're still together, baby. We're still together. Wherever you are, I always remember, you are with me. I promise I'll be fine. Once you get back, you'll see the new me.”

Sarah hugged her husband tightly. Agam's words made her feel so much love she received from her husband. He knew that Agam had relented to make it easier to choose one between the two. But it didn't make her feel like she had forgotten one of them.

There is so much you have given, Matt ...

“Mas did this not so that it could be accompanied by nurse Aozora, right?,” Sara seduced in her tears. He still hugged Agam tightly.

Agam laughed in response. “What do I do to call Raka here?”

“True also ...,” he said softly.

But then ...

“Can you guys work together ..”

Agam did not answer anything. He's even getting louder laughing

“Mas ... Ready yet?”

Sara could see her smile from her small phone screen. Agam nodded as Sara asked.

There was a scream from behind the screen of Agam's phone. “Don't worry, Ma'am. If Mas Agam is naughty, I'm angry later.”

That's Arya's voice ...

Agam told me yesterday when Sara contacted him that Arya would come with Judah. They'll be there for some time.

“What mother?,” asked Agam later, distracting Sara from Arya.

“Mother's good, Mas. The doctor said everything was good. Now his team is ready. Mother also.”

So Sara's outside waiting for them to finish preparing and moving Mom to the operating room.

“Mas itself how? Prof says it's okay, right?”

“It's okay. Don't worry, Sara. It's just a minor operation. One hour is also done,” said Agam calms Sara.

Hopefully so ...

“Sorry, I can't accompany you there.”

Agam said it. Which made Sara unable to hold back her tears.

“Important Mas is fine ..” isak Sara.

“You haven't been around Sapporo for as long as you're here,” Agam continued. “Later if I can walk again, I will accompany you for a walk.”

Sara nodded while holding her sob.

“We took a walk to Hokkaido as well. There are many good places. I'm sure you'll like.”

Holding back her sobs was the hardest. Sara kept getting excited about it.

Agam nodded, then fell silent for quite a while afterwards, leaving Sara still sobbing.

And suddenly, Agam said, “I love you, Sara. Love you so much.”

The more powerless Sara held him. “I also ... I love you so much too, Mas.”

Almost a month ago Sara was in Indonesia. Agam is still in Japan with Raka. Sometimes Raka returned to Indonesia to do some tasks from Agam. If so, Agam was only accompanied by a nurse from Aozora.

Sometimes, Arya goes there. Or at least stop by to see her brother during a work visit to Japan. In the end, Sara so received a lot of their videos while together. At least Sara knows what Agam did during his recovery.

Video calls themselves are frequent, but Sara sometimes likes to be unsettled when she does not have time to contact Agam, while busy taking care of Mom.

For Mom, everything went well. The mother's body can receive well the kidney donor it receives. Doctors said there were no problems or complications after the operation. It's just that you still have to do regular checks and still have to keep your diet, although not as tight as before.

“Come back,” said Mother one day. “Games that need you right now. Mom is fine. Getting healthier instead. Much healthier than before.”

“But, Mom still has to routinely control. The doctor will still want to see the progress of the mother after the operation. Fear Mother why-why,” let Sara reasoned.

He also wants to return to Japan soon. But now it's obviously impossible to just leave Mom alone if she's still not sure about Mom's health.

“Yes there is Mina. There's a nurse assigned to Agam. They can take you to the hospital. The car is also ready to deliver Mom at all times. So don't worry,” said I keep trying to persuade Sara.

Sara looked at Mom lovingly. He understands what Mom means. Maybe I also saw Sara's split concerns, between Mom and Agam.

I can always see what I'm worried about.

“Mother wants Sara to Mas Agam. Mas Agam wants Sara to Mom. So actually you guys do not love Sara?”

Sara pretends to sulk in front of Mom.

Mom even hit Sara's arm slowly. “You're ..”

They laughed afterwards.

“Later after Mom controls it once again, keep the doctor saying it's okay, Sara returns to Sapporo,” said Sara calms Mom down, and Mom agrees.

Sara kept her feet up quickly while pulling her suitcase as soon as she got off the car that took her from the airport to Aozora.

The call of the people he knew was greeting him only in reply. He was already impatient to meet Agam who he said was at home. That means Sara's journey is still far away.

“Mas, Mas ...,” call Sara many times as soon as she opens the first door. But, where is he?

There's nothing anywhere. There is nothing in the bedroom either. There is nothing behind either.

“Mas ...,” call him once again as his last resort.

What's in the bathroom, huh?

Sara immediately turned her body, intending to look for her husband somewhere else. But ...

He hit something hard for a moment. He held his head in pain from the impact. But what he saw from behind his arm was more attractive to the point of making him forget his pain.

All this time Sara only saw Agam while she was sitting. And now he just realized, it turns out that Agam is that high. Higher than him.

Agam is bare-chested. Maybe just from the bathroom.

Agam's call disperse Sara's daydream to nothing. Sara refocused on the man before her now.
