Love That (No) Blind

Love That (No) Blind
Part 58: The Vian Plan

[Sara]

Sara was busy helping Agam tidy up his untidy tie tied around the neck of his shirt, as the husband was busy memorizing the contents of the speech he was about to deliver today from an airpod connected to his cell phone. He recorded everything on his phone and listened to it many times.

Today, the day that kept Agam busy for days since his return from Japan finally reached its final limit. The new products from Agam and several other researchers from Japan and Indonesia will be launched by a Japanese company that cooperates with Agam.

And Agam will give his speech today.

Sara smiled at the behavior of her husband who had not stopped moving his lips from following what was heard from the airpod. For more than a week, Agam worked hard to memorize it.

Sara's thoughts then drifted to last month, while still preoccupied with the debates between Agam and his brothers. When compared to the current one, things were much calmer. Thankfully ...

If not, maybe Mas Agam will not be able to prepare everything this focus.

Vian eventually worked for Arya at the FTC as the deputy director who heads all the marketing teams at the FTC. A great start and a really high stepping stone actually. Such an important position was immediately given to Vian, Chief Marketing Officer.

Ava is also busy with the launch of fashion brands and their boutiques. Sometimes he comes home to see Agam – although not as often as Arya –, but there is no more talk about Vian. All that was talked about was his new business plan later.

Nor did he tell much about them. He himself was busy with his work. Sarah didn't want to ask much more.

What matters is that everything is fine.

Sara was surprised that suddenly a sweet kiss had landed on her lips. His hand was still holding the Agam tie that had not been finished tidying up. Sara probably stayed quiet for too long until Agam did that.

“Ish ...,” hiss Sara gave her smile, blushing from Agam's sudden act.

“Why you? How quiet?,” asked Agam.

Sara shook her head while moving both of her hands continuing her pending work.

“Nervous thoughts are also the same as Mas,” replied Sara reasoned. Then then, an idea terbesit, “I helpin, yes.”

Sara intended to help Agam memorize his speech. He did this out of curiosity with the content of the speech Agam was about to deliver.

The problem is, Agam doesn't let Sara listen to him. As hard as Sara tried to find out, Agam also hid it. I don't know why Agam did that.

Again, Agam landed his kiss. “Usaha good, but not. Thank you.”

“Ish, stingy.”

I smile because of it.

It was almost dark as they prepared to leave. Agam is ready with her fancy suit, so is Sara who is ready with the beautiful dress she chose with Agam a few days ago.

Sara's just gonna put her foot in the car. But somehow suddenly he felt his body felt so light that it seemed to float. His sight slowly darkened. Sara staggered back.

Luckily, Agam had not yet ascended and was standing behind Sara. Quickly, Sara's body was captured with both hands.

“Sara?”

Agam's hands on both sides of her shoulders, and also a gentle but anxious call instantly returned Sara to her consciousness. As soon as the brightness of his gaze returned, it no longer darkened.

“You sick?,” asked Agam while touching his hand to Sara's forehead. “Why you?”

Sara tried to get back up, making sure she was okay. But his legs are weak. He staggered back. And Agam quickly caught him.

“We go to the doctor, yes,” bargain Agam.

“J-don't, Mas. I'm not okay. Just not careful, Mas.” Sara reasoned.

This is an important event Mas Agam. Don't let me ruin it.

“But you were ..” Agam seemed to be hesitant about Sara's words.

Sara cut it off. “I'm okay. Really. We're almost too late. Come ..”

Sara got into the car without babibu again, and pulled Agam's hand to catch up with her. Agam drawn like that, inevitably, in the end obey the request of the wife.

......................

A very lively event was held in a luxury hotel ballroom. As soon as Sara and Agam got out of the car, they were already greeted by a crowd of reporters with flashes of blits that kept on shaking.

Agam continued to hold Sara's hand and carried her past the reporters who kept calling her name. The grapevine Sara heard someone asking the reason why this launch was not carried out by the FTC. But Agam kept walking ignoring them.

As she approaches the venue, Sara meets Arya who comes with Ava and Vian. Arya is still as friendly as ever, as is Ava who ignores Sara, as always.

“Mama is still traveling. Still stuck on the road,” explained Arya gave a report to Agam about the whereabouts of Widia.

Almost all related entrepreneurs get official invitations from Japanese companies. In that case, it should only be Arya and Widia. But Agam left for Arya for Ava and Vian.

Sara only once looked towards Vian to greet him, then chose to look the other way, avoiding seeing the man again. And not bad as it turned out, Sara even saw Judah had come with Tania.

As soon as she told Agam, Sara immediately approached Judah and Tania, greeting him.

Ah, kangen it feels. Not really, Tania is 9 years old now.

In the end, they entered the ballroom and occupied the place that was already reserved for them. Unfortunately, Agam and Sara sat apart from the others.

A very lively opening also opened the event which was also attended by several artists and influencers related to the products that will be launched tonight.

Not only the actual translation tool, there are at least 3 other products that are the results of Agam research also launched with the results of research from other researchers.

Seeing how appreciated all the hard work of Agam had been, Sara could only be proud to be in that place. Maybe not as grand as held by NFC – as told by Agam – which only shows off all of Agam's research, but this is already very good. More than just good.

Sara's pride seemed to spill over when Agam's name was called with her festive to give her speech in front of the podium. This is when Sara was able to listen to the results of her husband's training for the past few days.

“Goodnight, ladies and gentlemen ..” So sapa Agam began his speech.

Sara almost shed her tears looking at Agam who was gallantly standing there representing all his hard work in his own name. No frills NFC behind it. Just his name, Tirtagama Wirasurya. It was as if the podium was only meant for him.

Everyone appreciates it. Everyone respected him. Everyone knows him. He is the god of technology that everyone always wants.

“... and lastly, but best of all. My wife, Ashara Revalina.”

Both of Sara's eyes immediately widened as her name was called. He was already starting to get nervous when all eyes were on him. But he focused himself only on what Agam would say.

“Thank you ...,” Further Agam. “... is already present in my life. All this, because you are with me.”

With an index finger on his right hand, Agam pointed at his chest. Then, crossed his clenched hands in front of his chest. Then he pointed at Sara with his index finger.

Finally, Agam crossed his clenched arms again.

I love you too, Mom ...

Although the light was only on the podium where Agam stood, but the eyes of Agam seemed straight to look at Sara who sat among the many tables of invited guests. Sara could only look back at Agam who was still standing there as if returning the eyes of the husband.

As soon as Agam returned to his place, Sara immediately hugged him before Agam sat in his place.

“So this is what I memorized for days? Why not say aja?,” frowned Sara in Agam's arms which was greeted with laughter by her husband.

“Not a surprise his name is.”

Sara hugged him even tighter, ignoring everyone who was still clapping for Agam and herself.

......................

A speech from Agam, it was just the beginning of the event. The rest went on long enough. At least long enough until Sara could no longer hold him back.

“Mas, I went to the toilet for a while, yes ...,” whispered Sara to Agam who was talking to the other guests sitting at the same table with her.

“Come, I accompany ..”

When it will stand, Sara has forbidden it.

“Nevent gone, Mas. Me alone.”

“But, you are ..”

Mas Agam might still be worried when I fell earlier.

“Nothing, Mas. There are many people here who want to talk to you. I can, really. Kan deket here.”

Agam is still worried. “You sure?”

“Iya, Mas ..” Sara gave a kiss on Agam's cheek, then said, “Don't worry ..”

The toilet is not far away. Sara asked earlier. Only need to go down a long road that is connected to the hallway to the other part of the hotel. At the end of the street, that's where the toilet is.

While passing through the hallway, Sara had seen a man in a typical hotel uniform with a trolley of goods that he was pushing. Sara asked him where the toilet was, and not far away.

A few minutes after coming from the toilet, Sara went back down the same road as when she came. The hotel attendant he had met was still there.

I thought he was leaving.

But apparently, the man was not alone. Sara saw the figure of the man she knew enter with the man into the room in the hallway. I don't know what room it is.

Vian Mas?

Vian didn't see Sara. Maybe their distance was far enough. So Vian didn't pay much attention to it.

Probably acquaintance.

But Sara doesn't care. That's business.

Sara walked through the room without caring about the door of the room that opened slightly. He was just thinking back to the venue, that's all.

But, the conversation of the two people he had just seen caught his attention.

“Do it right. Make sure he gets hit and falls according to plan.”

Sara's steps stopped.

Falling off? Wh who?

“Widia will be here any minute. Prepare.”

Sara immediately covered her gaping mouth with both of her hands. Why did Mas Vian mention Mama's name? What is he planning? Falling off? Is he going to hurt her?

Sara still could not believe what she had just heard. He wanted to refute all his conjectures, but the voice he heard was a voice he was familiar with. That was the voice of Vian who had just spoken.

With fear still lingering over her, Sara chose to leave from there. I'd better go back to Mas Agam.

Just a step of his foot moved, and a hand held his arm. Quickly, his arm had already been pulled into the room.

In one throw, Sara is knocked into the wall, and Vian stands before her blocking Sara's way out. Now Sara could not move in a narrow room but was full of stuff. The room turned out to be a warehouse.

"What are you doing here?," asked Vian who was almost growling in annoyance.

Sara looked at Vian with a look of hatred, but was also filled with her fear.
