LOVE THE CHILDREN OF JURAGAN

LOVE THE CHILDREN OF JURAGAN
Grandpa's Request

Yasmin still wants to sleep. Especially now Saturday and he wants to spend more time lazing around. But a knock on the door of his room, followed by the sound of Erdana calling him made him finally have to come down and open the door.

"What's wrong? I'm still sleepy and don't want to eat breakfast" Yasmin said in a crisp tone. That was how he talked to Erdana.

"Prepare. We're going to the hospital."

"It's not time for me to check the contents yet. It's 3 weeks away."

"Your grandfather had a heart attack. He's rather critical and always calls you."

"Grandfather?" Yasmin was shocked. His eyes were even glazed. "Wait 5 minutes I'll be ready." Yasmin immediately closed the door of the room and rushed to the bathroom.

15 Minutes later, the two were in the car heading to the hospital. Along the way, the two remained silent. Only Yasmin would occasionally wipe away her tears. His relationship with his grandfather was very close. Later when he was married, then Yasmin did not stay at his grandfather's house again every weekend.

They finally arrived at the hospital. Yasmin went down quickly and a little run she entered the hospital lobby. Erdana even had to hold her breath because Yasmin ran as if she was not pregnant.

They finally arrived in front of Muliadi's grandfather's grooming room. There are Yasmin's parents and her brother Noah.

"How's grandpa doing, ma'am?" yasmin asked without being able to hide her worry.

"Grandfather there is still being examined by a cardiologist. He called you, son." said Gayatri with a sad heart.

Yasmin is the only granddaughter in the family of doctor Satria. Doctor Satria's sister has 3 children, all of whom are male. Yasmin was very close to her grandparents.

Alisia's grandmother was seen sitting with a sad face. He occasionally wiped his tears.

"Grandma, don't be sad? Grandpa must be cured. His grandfather was very strong." Yasmin said as she held his grandmother's hand.

Alisia tried to smile. He did not want to make Yasmin sad especially Yasmin was pregnant.

Doctor Andra's out. "Mr Muliadi wants to meet his grandchildren Yasmin and Erdana."

Erdana was surprised because her name was also called. Yasmin went straight in without waiting for Erdana. He was given a green shirt to wear, as was Erdana.

"Grandfather.....!"'Yasmin tried to hold back her tears seeing how pale the grandfather was.

Muliadi. He raised his hand, asking Yasmin and Erdana to come closer.

"Yasmin, grandfather's grandson, you will soon be a mother. Grandpa was hoping to see your son, but it didn't feel possible."

"Don't talk like that, grandfather. Grandpa will definitely see it."

Muliadi looked at Erdana. "I know that you married in an accident. But I beg you, Erdana, don't waste my granddaughter. Promise me you'll stay together until death do you part."

Erdana looked at Yasmin. Grandpa Muliadi's request was very difficult.

"Father......!" call Muliadi again. Erdana also nodded.

"I promise I'll take care of Yasmin, cake."

Muliadi looked at Yasmin. "Yasmin, be an obedient wife to your husband. Never ask for a divorce from her. Because in our family there was never a divorce case. Promise me that you'll devote your life only to your husband."

Yasmin fell silent. How could he possibly devote his life to a man he hated so much? Yasmin even thought that if her son was born, she would ask for a divorce from Erdana.

"Yasmine.....!" Muliadi touched his grandson's hand.

"I.....!" Yasmin looked at her grandfather.

"Please promise grandfather, Yasmin. To let Grandpa know that you really are Grandpa's granddaughter."

Yasmin took a deep breath. It was hard for her to agree with Grandfather's wishes. But finally his head nodded. "I promise, cake."

Muliadi. "Grandfather... happy.." he said with eyes full of satisfaction.

The doctor came in to take Yasmin and Erdana out so Muliadi could rest.

"Son, you'd better go back to the apartment and rest" Gayatri said after several hours they sat in front of Muliadi's treatment room.

"I still want to be here, ma'am" Yasmin said with a face full of plea.

"What your mother said is right, son. Now it's time for you to go home and rest. Pity your womb." advice Alisia to her granddaughter.

Yasmin finally wanted to go home even though she didn't seem willing to leave the hospital.

Once in the apartment, he went straight into his room and locked himself in there.

Erdana was tired and wanted to sleep. But he remembered that Yasmin only ate a piece of bread when they were in the hospital. He quickly went back down to bring it. Erdana called her mother to ask what food to make quickly. Naura says that in the food cabinet she keeps some soup ingredients that can be made instantly. Erdana quickly prepared the soup and she was grateful that this morning when Aunt Yana came to clean the apartment, she had also cooked rice on the magicom.

After he finished preparing everything, Erdana knocked on Yasmin's door.

"Yasmin, let's eat!"

Erdana knocked even harder. Yasmin finally opened it. "I'm not hungry!"

"You have to eat!" Erdana immediately pulled out her hand.

"I don't want to!" Yasmin withdrew her hand but Erdana held it very tightly.

"You are not hungry, but the baby in your stomach needs food. Don't you feel sorry for him?"

Yasmin finally gave up. His grandfather's condition made him tasteless to eat anything. But considering the word baby, he also did not have Salma children stomach malnutrition.

Yasmin sat down while eating. When she finally finished with her last feed, Erdana reminded to immediately finish her pregnant milk. Although Yasmin's eyes looked at Erdana sharply, she also consumed the milk. Without a sound, he returned to his room.

Erdana immediately headed to her room. He climbed up onto the bed while staring at the ceiling of his room. He thought back to what Muliadi's grandfather had asked for. Heart's fidgeting. He took a photo of Mentari still on the nightstand. In her eyes was that beautiful smiling face.

Why should our way of life be like this, dear. Why did you choose to leave and cut all your ties with me? Have you completely forgotten our 7 years together?

Erdana put the photo over her chest. He tried to close his eyes. But the words of Muliadi's grandfather again ringing in his ears. Erdana was back.

**********

Erdana felt like she had not been asleep for long. The sound of his phone woke him up. His eyes were immediately fixed on the clock on the nightstand which showed two o'clock past ten minutes. It's still midnight. He was even more surprised to see that call from his mother.

"Assalamualaikum, ma'am. What's up?"

"Vaalaikumsalam. Son, wake up Yasmin. His grandfather is dead."

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. What time did he die, ma'am?"

"Half an hour ago. Gayatri's mother called me because she didn't know your cell phone number."

"alright. I'll wake Yasmin up and we'll be right to her grandfather's house."

"Son, be careful in delivering it, huh? Remember, Yasmin is pregnant."

"Good, mom."

Erdana was having a conversation with her mother. He rushed downstairs. He stood in front of Yasmin's room door and knocked her slowly.

"Yasmine.......! Yasmin ......!"

Somewhat long Erdana knocked and called his wife. Yasmin finally woke up. With a sullen face as usual, he opened the door of his room.

"What's up?"' ask Yasmin ketus.

"Deplace your clothes. We're going to your grandfather's house."

"What's wrong?"'

"Grandfather Muliadi just died."

Yasmin's eyes were wide open. And before he said anything, the girl finally fainted. It was fortunate that Erdana quickly hugged him so much that he did not fall to the floor.

***********

It's been 5 days that Yasmin hasn't been out of her grandfather's room. He chose to sleep with his grandmother while hugging his grandfather's shirt.

His grandfather's death was very inviting to Yasmin. His voice was even raucous because there was no ceasing to cry.

"Son, you've been five today. Don't you want to go home to your husband's?" ask Gayatri.

"No. I want to stay here until 40 days after Grandpa's death."

"My granddaughter, that's not good. You're already married. Your place is with your husband." Alisia held onto her grandson's shoulder.

"I don't feel good in my husband's house. I want to be here, Grandma. Let me stay here. Grandma is now alone. If I leave, who will accompany Grandma?"

Alisia smiled. "Grandmother cannot be lonely. Your father and mother will temporarily stay here until the 40th anniversary. After that, Grandma will leave the house. Grandma's gonna stay at your mom and dad's."

"But grandma....."

"Remember your promise to the late grandfather. You're gonna be a good wife."

Yasmin could not break her grandmother's words. He prepared his clothes and immediately returned to Erdana's apartment. Yasmin knew this would be very torturous for her. He wanted to deny everything he had promised his grandfather. Because Yasmin still hates Erdana.
