Happy reading.

.

We then approached one of the statues that was behind Nandi.

"Who is this?" ask Ivan.

"Take a count of the horses!" dika's orders.

We then counted the legs of the horse, as some of the faces of the horse were not visible.

"14 horse legs." we answered simultaneously.

"This is the God of Surya." I said.

They then look at me meaningfully.

"Why is Surya God here?" ask Ivan.

Dika and I also do not know, why they were placed in Nandi's room.

"Come, maybe Mas Fais knows the reason" I said as I glanced at Fais, who turned out to be upset about it as well.

"God Surya drives 7 white horses. His train sais named Aruna, has 3 wives" said Dika who made us all amazed at his explanation and knowledge.

----

his 3 goddesses were Saranyu, Ragyi, and Praba. From Saranyu, Surya has 3 children named Waiwastawa Manu, Yama, and Yami. Saranyu as his first wife was apparently unable to see the bright sunlight. So he created a goddess named Chaya. Surya and Chaya then had 3 children named Sani, Tapti, and Wishti.

----

In the Mahabarata story, Surya is said to be the father of King Angga named Karna. She is the daughter of Goddess Kunti who was born by ear. The baby Kana is then washed away in Yamuna. Karna was the eldest brother of the Pandavas.

In the Ramayana story, Surya becomes the father of Sugriwa. Surya was once punished by Anoman for causing her mother Anjani to be cursed by her husband. So Anoman was angry and collected a cloud to cover the sunlight so that it could not penetrate the Earth.

---

We then headed for 1 more statue

"Who is this god?" ask Ivan.

"If it's Surya, it means this is Candra." guess Fais who turns out to be right.

Dika kemusian justifies that the god with 10 horses is indeed the God Candra. The Moon God is the younger brother of the Surya God. So they share the task. Surya shines on Bhumi during the day. While the Lord Candra is in charge of illuminating Bhumi when night falls.

I then nodded and explained about this god story.

----

It is said that the God Candra is a handsome god, with 2 hands each holding a mace and lotus. He felt the most handsome among the gods. He has 27 wives. But only 1 wife he loved was named Rohini.

Candra also has a brother named Wrehaspati (the ruler of the planet Jupiter). Wrehaspati has a very beautiful wife. Candra is then intrigued and kidnaps Goddess Tara. After that there was a fight between the Gods of Candra and Wrehaspati. But Wrehaspati's antithesis under Candra. So Wrehaspati pleads with the gods to help him reclaim his wife.

----

Another story about the god Candra is found in the story of Mahabarata. Dewi Madrim (second wife Pandu) who has been taught a mantra from Dewi Kunti by Rsi Druwasa summons Lord Candra to give a handsome and brave son.

The request of Goddess Madrim was granted by Lord Candra. Madrim gave birth to a child who was later named Sahadewa. He was the last of the Pandavas.

---

In addition, in the previous episode it has also been told that Lord Candralah thwarted the disguise of Kala Rahu when he was about to drink the amrta. So Rahu always tried to eat Candra.

---

"Trus why do you think Candra and Surya are in Nandi's room?" asked Ivan curiously.

"Maybe because the god Surya emerged from the east. Until it is placed in the eastern room. Coincidentally there is a room on the east side of Nandi.

"Eh hya .. stone for the manufacture of Nandi Sculpture is very large dong ya mean, it is so fine again the sculpture." praise Dika.

I then touched and watched the statue.

"It's like the actual size of a cow." I said, holding the cow.

"Rubber, how to take the ride?" ask Dika.

Fais then explains the process of raising the Nandi. It turns out to be raised by using slanted wood.
