That night was already at 22:00, Akbar's eyes were still awake while staring at the sky which will soon rain because it looks lightning. He knew that his feelings did not want Zahra to leave, but he had to be sincere with all the circumstances that would come his way.
Sms Hawa since this morning, even more than ten times sms Akbar ignored, he just wanted to make peace with his feelings, he did not want to dissolve in love Zahra, he did not want to dissolve in love Zahra, let it be the responsibility of his heart to let him go, there is an implied in his heart that hopes that God will meet him again.
Akbar's voice calls in, but Eve's name is plastered and she again ignores it, after the call ends Akbar deactivates her phone. He was silent, he needed time to be alone. Even when his mother and Khadija wanted to accompany him, Akbar immediately rejected him and said that he only wanted to be alone on the porch of the house.
Furqon who saw his best friend was sleeping directly approached him.
"Assalamu'alaikum warohmatullahi wabarokatu." Furqon said in a voice that he deliberately tightened.
"Wa'alaikumsalam warohmatullahi wabarokatu." Reply Akbar who is still sleeping on the floor.
"Tumben you haven't slept?" Furqon asked looking at his watch.
"Not sleepy." Akbar replied briefly.
Furqon understood that with Akbar's feelings, they were both left behind by someone they loved but the difference was that Furqon could no longer carry his name in his prayers.
"What are you thinking about the bar?" Ask Furqon.
"I'm not thinking about anything." Reply Akbar.
Furqon went into Akbar's house to fetch two glasses of drinking water.
"Have you eaten?" Ask Furqon again.
"It." Answer's short.
Furqon smiled amusedly at his friend who was restless because he was left behind by Zahra.
"We're the same bar." Furqon.
Akbar wakes up from his sleep, and turns to his best friend, "sama?" Ask for an explanation.
"Together left before saying our feelings." Answer Furqon.
"I'm sincere fur, I don't understand everything either." Akbar.
"Alhamdulillah if indeed you have been sincere, but how do you feel to prove it? Bar, can you still carry his name in your do'a, while I? I can't pray for people's wives, can I?!"
Akbar nodded slowly, "i just want to graduate quickly and work hard for mom and Khadijah."
"That's sure! You need to focus on your family and yourself."
Akbar smiled listening to his best friend's words. They chatted late into the night after which they spent their Sunday evenings in the mosque reading the Quran to calm their hearts.
After the morning prayers, Akbar and Furqon ran off together. It has been almost 2 months they did not do sports activities together like that, around 8 am Akbar saw Doni around his village. Akbar approached him, but not only Doni it turns out there is Eve also buying chicken porridge for them.
"I know that you guys haven't had breakfast yet, so I bought a lot. All for your house bar." Said Eve tersneyum sumringah showing her package.
Akbar and Furqon looked at each other astonished at Eve's attitude.
"Well to your house!" Take Eve.
Akbar looked at Doni, but Doni just shrugged his shoulders saying that he did not know with his friend's attitude.
"Assalamu'alaikum." Akbar and the others.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, you know a lot of gini people, come in and in!" Tell Ms. Wati to see her son come home with his friends.
"Go home to the bar." Furqon.
"Eh, don't go home! Here's a chat together, besides I've bought chicken porridge for us to eat breakfast!" Eve prevents Furqon from returning home.
Furqon sees Akbar's eyes, but Akbar hints that his best friend is to sit in the living room with them.
"Emmm... Why are you guys around my village early in the morning?" Ask Akbar.
"Oh, let's go for a walk, don't we?!" Answer Eve nudged Doni's arm.
"Ah, yes... We're going for a walk again." Doni was surprised.
I don't know why Akbar felt that something was being hidden by Eve. Furqon was only a listener among them, although he quickly socialized with the new person still for him Hawa and Doni Akbar's friend, Furqon only paid attention to their attitude.
Khadijah came out of the room and became acquainted with Eve and Doni. But both of his eyes glanced at Furqon who was enjoying chicken porridge. Khadijah was aware that he had feelings for his brother's friend, but again he felt his love only because of lust and will disappear by itself when he will enter the boarding school in Aceh.
Furqon smiled at Khadijah who was silent like a statue in front of the door of his room, Khadijah immediately realized from his daydream and left Akbar with his friends. Khadijah continued to take pride in his heart whenever he remembered Furqon's smile.
"Khadijah school where's the bar?" Eve asked enthusiastically to see Khadijah who looked beautiful.
"In the pesantren, this year went to High School." Reply Akbar.
"God." Akbar replied smiling.
"Why are you smiling so you say the Aceh bar?" Ask Doni full of questions. While Eve only glanced at Akbar.
"Ah, it's okay. Yuk, eat some more porridge, good ya!" Akbar switched the conversation.
Akbar, Doni and Furqon, they kept laughing together, talking while at their school. Eve just sighed and looked at Akbar's face that was getting more and more handsome. But he was curious why Akbar looked happy when mentioning Aceh in front of Doni.
At about 10 a.m., Eve left with Doni. Furqon looked at the motor that was getting further and then disappeared from his sight.
"Reverse as well yes, the smell of sweat." Furqon said smelling his clothes that had been soaked in sweat.
Akbar nodded his head and went inside the house.
"Sister, sis!" Call Khadijah to stop Akbar's footsteps from entering the bathroom.
"Yes?"
"Am I really going to the boarding school in Aceh?" Ask Khadijah excitedly.
Akbar smiled, "yes."
But suddenly Khadija's smile disappeared from her beautiful face, she looked at her brother's face with tears.
"Did you spare brother's savings for me to get in there?"
"I saved that for your school and for mom." Akbar answered giving a horse to his sister.
Khadijah shook his head and shed tears, "that's money for college, right?"
Akbar wiped Khadijah's tears and looked at his sister's eyes, "no, that's your tuition. Don't discuss it again, yes, I will take care of which pesantren you will enter. I guarantee you'll like it."
"Don't cry ah, like a child!" Ledek Akbar's.
Khadijah wiped away her tears and hugged her brother tightly, "thank you brother, you're the greatest brother in the world! I'm in love with you, brother."
Akbar stroked Khadijah's head and released his arms and kissed Khadijah's forehead.
"I love you too, now can I take a shower? My body already stinks of sweat!"
"Hahaha, yes-yes, you take a bath there! Sahut Khadijah chuckled at Akbar's words.
...***...
The next morning Akbar was ready to go to school, while Khadijah decided to return to the boarding school and would not attend the Hindu wedding. Khadijah only wants to study and continue to study so that he can get a scholarship in the Aceh pesantren, Khadijah by actively memorizing the Quran and studying the books in his pesantren library.
Akbar always accepted whatever his brother's decision, he knew that his sister had stepped on a teenager and he wanted to let Khadijah himself choose the path of his life. His duty as a sister was only to support and advise Khadijah.
Upon reaching Akbar at school, he raised his head to the 2nd floor, where he saw Zahra's class looking crowded. He smiled his smile and walked slowly to his class. All the students in the school were talking about Zahra's move, they were very sorry for Zahra's actions, because she only needed one more year to graduate from As-Sobirin school.
Underneath Akbar's desk found a piece of paper, he opened it and read it in his heart, turning to the glass beside his seat, both eyes saw that Zahra's parents had arrived at school and soon Akbar would never see a face that set anyone's eyes on.
...Assalamu'alaikum,...
"Wa'alaikusalam." Akbar replies in his heart.
...I purposely wrote this letter for our farewell, sorry that as long as I am your friend, making your heart hurt by my attitude and speech, sorry for all my mistakes bar, let me go to change everything....
...I am also very grateful to you for teaching a lot of knowledge without you knowing it. Because of you I know how to behave in loving someone. Thank you bar, I hope we can meet another day....
...Looks like I've been talking too much, hehehe. Maybe if I spoke directly I wouldn't be able to. I hope I meet your sister in Aceh and can help her while she's there....
...May you, mother, and Khadijah always be in the protection of Allah SWT, and be given health by Him. Aami....
...Assalamu'alaikum's chat....
...Zahras......
Akbar looked back at Zahra's handwriting, his eyes turned on the windowpanes and now he saw Zahra with her parents walking to move out of school. He could do nothing but give up Zahra's move, as it would be good for him, his family and those closest to him.
Akbar was privileged in his heart, calming himself down. Perhaps it is the best way for Allah, for Akbar to avoid sin, it is God's way that Akbar loves the creator more than his creation.
"God, if this is the best thing for me, I'm sincere. Forgive the servant who wishes for Your love, forgive the servant who has neglected to pray to you." Akbar said in his heart as he stared at the piece of paper.
He wanted to dispose of the letter, but he hesitated until Akbar finally decided to put the paper in his notebook while he worked in Mr. Heru's office.
Akbar always believed that God would give something that he had not expected all this time. He always believed that God had prepared the most beautiful gift for his patience. He always believed that so that Akbar's heart already felt calmer than before. Farewell is not the end of the meeting, it could be a new chapter to start something better, open a white paper inside yourself, leave books full of color left behind and dusty all day. Just like Akbar and Zahra were about to start their journey after exiting the school gate.
