Loving You Through Do'A

Loving You Through Do'A
15. Hardwork

Since the departure of Zahra, Akbar has not felt too lost but sometimes he thinks about the state of Zahra because there is no news from him, even Akbar is no longer communicating with him.

Akbar routine after school work as a chef part time. He works still in the restaurant owned by the family Eve, he refused when Mr. Heru told him to be his personal assistant in the office. Akbar will accept the offer when he graduates from school. For now being a part time chef is very exciting for him, in addition to meeting new friends, Akbar also get new knowledge from there.

Every time Eve called, Akbar would always say that she was busy and could not talk to her for long. I don't know why Furqon's words some time ago continue to wrestle his mind. Akbar was afraid that if Eve asked him to Islamize her, he actually did not mind teaching Eve religious knowledge, but he did not know whether Eve learned sincerely because of God or just because she wanted to be close to him.

Akbar always called her name Eve, but she always said that she preferred to be called Mary. Even all his friends were trying to call her by the name of Mary, while Akbar chose to keep calling her by the name of Eve. Although Eve's face will turn sullen.

After returning home from work, Akbar immediately took a shower and had dinner with his mother. Suddenly Furqon came and joined him, he reasoned that his parents were going out of town on a business trip.

"You should break the bar!" Have mom scoop rice for her son.

"I always take a break mom. So, no need to worry." Akbar smiled.

Furqon picked up the side dish while listening to the conversation of the two of them.

"But during these two weeks, you've never had a day off work. I know you're gonna say, 'I work part time ma'am, 'huft.. I'm just afraid you're sick, son." Said Bu Wati staring at the face of Akbar who looks a little thin.

"Hahaha, I know what I said, take it easy Mom, I'm fine." Akbar reassured his mother.

"You work part time bar? Where's?" Ask Furqon.

"In the fur restaurant." Reply Akbar.

"School isn't back at 2pm, is it the lateest bar?" Ask Furqon again.

"Yes." Yeah." Reply Akbar.

"That means ..." Furqon immediately stopped his words and glanced at the Wati maam who was looking at him and wanted to hear his words.

"What?" Ask Akbar curious.

"Ah, it's okay! You're a hard worker! It's great!" Furqon replied proudly while patting Akbar on the shoulder.

Bu Wati squinted her eyes then looked at Furqon and Akbar alternately.

"Every day I eat here, ma'am, hehehe." Furqon said to divert the conversation, so that Wati ma'am does not continue to intimidate with her gaze.

"Can! The more people the more exciting!" Say Mrs Wati, put an empty plate into the sink.

"Mom, I'm with Furqon in front of the house first yeah, want to talk." Akbar.

"Yes." Yeah." Said bu Wati.

On the porch of Furqon's house sat down while playing his cell phone, while Akbar went into the room to retrieve a letter from Zahra. He gave it to Furqon and told him to read it.

"I know how to love?" Furqon confirmed the sentence as he read the letter and turned to Akbar, only to answer by shrugging his shoulders that he did not know what Zahra meant.

"During school, did you ever talk to each other?" Tanya Furqon gave the letter.

"After Dhuha prayers we always meet, oh, when Zahra just moved I love him the Quran and introductory letter, well... Maybe it's the answer to him." Reply Akbar.

"Zahra seems to be in love." Furqon.

"What! In love?!"

Furqon nodded his head, "but did not know who. Oh, yeah, you work full time, right?"

Akbar speechless.

"Yes, right? When did you break the bar?" Ask Furqon again.

"I'm saving for my college fur, life is hard, you're a little negligent will be eroded by time and regret." Akbar answered looking straight ahead.

Furqon smiled slightly, "i know it's a bar! But, how nice of you to take a day for you to rest, don't you see how worried Mom is?"

Akbar turned to his best friend, "my mother will be fine. I will rest later, if indeed my body is really not strong anymore to carry my burden."

"All right, it's up to you." Furqon relented, because for hard work Akbar did not want to be bothered with any advice.

It's just that Furqon is worried about the state of his best friend, he is afraid that Akbar is doing it all to forget Zahra. Akbar is too torturing himself to continue his work and work tirelessly, Furqon and his mother ask him for a day off but in fact Akbar does not care.

Furqon decided to return home, while Akbar remained faithful on the porch until he fell asleep there. Not feeling his tears flowing as he closed his eyes, only this time he felt pain in his chest, he felt pain in his eyes as he tried to cry, evaporating what he was feeling. All this time he was just silent, as sick as he tried to toughen up, but that night Akbar was really sad because it made the people around him worried about his situation.

Akbar wiped his tears and tried to smile back and start his usual activities.

The next morning Akbar was ready for work, but he got a call from Hawa asking Akbar to meet him, but it turned out that Hawa had told Akbar's friends at the restaurant that he had no permission to enter work. There was an upset feeling as to why Eve was acting that way to him. Akbar had to meet Eve at a cafe not far from her school.

"What does Eve need?" Ask Akbar.

"Get me company for a minute." Eve looked at Akbar's face.

Akbar immediately turned his head when his eyes were crossed by Eve.

"You know I have to work." Akbar.

"Why did you avoid the bar?" Ask Eve sadly.

"Avoid of whom?" Akbar asked back, because he did not know what Eve meant.

Eve smiled her smile, "From me, you have rarely met me, you have never even returned a message from me. Is all this because of Zahra?"

For the first time Akbar looked at Eve's face, he did not understand what Eve was thinking, he just did not want to deal with love for now.

"You mean?" Ask Akbar.

"I know you love her. I also know that if Zahra moves to Aceh, you avoid all bars, you shy away from reality!" Answer Eve.

"You're right! I avoid everything, especially my heart! I don't want to be the berth of someone who just wants to stop and leave, I don't want to be in touch with feelings. Is this what you want to obrolin with me?" Akbar.

Eve did not expect Akbar to speak to her like that, Eve only spoke a thousand languages, she no longer knew what to say to the man she loved.

"If it's true, I'll go home! Thank you for everything Eve, you're a good woman." Akbar smiled for a while and left Eve alone with sadness in his heart.

Akbar traversed the streets quite crowded, he was increasingly confused why Eve was like that to him, there was a feeling of unbearable when Akbar said what he was feeling to him. At the red light, Akbar pulled out his phone and sent a message to Eve, apologizing and not wanting to hurt her. But Eve did not return the message from him, Akbar just let out a long sigh and went home.

That night Akbar again gave motivation to the young women in his village, he saw Bela was listening to every speech he was saying, but there was a sense of loss in Akbar's eyes, well, he was listening to every speech he was saying, he did not see a veiled woman in his studies anymore who was none other than Zahra.

Finished providing motivation, Akbar saw Bela was about to go home, but he stopped him for a while and asked Zahra for news.

"Alhamdulillah Zahra is good brother, she didn't text sister?" Ask Bela.

Akbar shook his head.

"Let's have him text ya sis." Bela said smiling.

"No need for bell! Hearing that Zahra was okay was enough for me." Akbar.

"Oh, yes, sister, who was in the hospital at the time?" Ask Bela.

Akbar recalled that when he came to visit Zahra, he felt that no woman had come with him. Akbar's thoughts floated on Eve, but he also doubted whether she was following him.

"Women?" Akbar asked as he each repeated his previous memory.

Bela nodded, "the woman was dressed formally as if she had gone home from work, but... Look like a high school kid, her hair's long, and..." Bela stopped him, looking at the face of Akbar who did not know the direction of his conversation.

"And?"

"He cried when he saw Akbar with Zahra in the room." Continue Bela.

Finally Akbar understood why Eve had behaved like that to him this afternoon, it turned out that he had been paying attention to his attitude.

"Emmm... But I don't know whose bell you're referring to." Akbar.

"I understand brother, after I came he left. Yes, brother, I'm going home first yes, assalamu'alaikum."

"Wa'alaikumsalam."

Akbar immediately sat leaning against the wall of the mosque after Bela's return.

"Are there bars?" Ask Furqon.

Akbar still wondered if Bela really meant Eve.

"There's nothing." Akbar answered, breaking all his daydreams.

"Times?"

"Yes. Yuk! Continue the tadarus again!" Akbar said, Take the Quran and read it.

Furqon knew that something was being hidden by his best friend. He did not force Akbar to tell a story because if he was tired of keeping it Akbar would start telling it from beginning to end.

Akbar only complained in the third night, conveying what he was feeling, knitting longs for the khalik without any human voice in the middle of the night. He believed that behind all the restlessness he had today, everything would be beautiful in time. It takes the right time to get the beauty, so Akbar continues to try to be patient every day, to learn to be sincere in reality without any hope in his heart.
