A bright Monday morning made Akbar so excited when he came to the office, even his employees were very surprised by the attitude of his boss. As for Furqon, after Eve's marriage, Akbar looks happy. There was no eye strain every time Akbar was in his room and sometimes Akbar smiled himself looking at the picture frame he put in his office desk drawer.
Furqon sat at his desk looking at Akbar's attitude, excited to see his best friend change at the time, but Furqon also did not know what reason Akbar changed his attitude to be like when he was in High School. Surely Akbar is much better than he was.
One message from Furqon's phone, he opened it.
"God willing I'm home today fur."
Furqon's face immediately saw Akbar who was seriously working, he did not want to make his best friend's mood damaged just because of the message from Hindun and attitude to him. But Furqon also had no friends other than Akbar, complained that Furqon felt he would always tell Akbar.
But the other case with his feelings for Khadijah and his attitude to Hindun, really makes Furqon a dilemma between wanting to tell it or not at all.
"Fur!" Call Akbar.
"Huh, yeah." Furqon replied in shock as Akbar called out to him.
"You why?" Ask Akbar.
"It's okay, what do you want to say?"
"The file for tomorrow's meeting is ready?"
Furqon nodded, "already, I'll send."
"okay." Akbar continued his work.
Akbar and Furqon's room was quiet, unlike any other day. Furqon felt bad about his best friend so chose to shut up. While Akbar let Furqon and Hindun finish their feelings without the need to know what is felt by Khadijah.
There was a sense of sadness and worry surrounding Akbar when he remembered Khadijah. Akbar stops his work for a while and daydreams about his sister loving Furqon. He was only afraid that Khadijah felt disappointed as he had felt himself, the difference was that Akbar was disappointed in him who did not dare to speak his good intentions.
Akbar awakens from his daydream as Furqon picks up his phone. He talked to someone and promised to pick him up.
"Bar, take a break later I'm going to the airport for a bit." Furqon.
"Yes." Yeah." Sahut Akbar who pretends to be typing on his computer.
Akbar's hour of rest went to the mosque and sat down with Kyai Nurdin after the congregational prayers.
"How's Akbar's job, smoothly?" Ask Kyai Nurdin.
"Alhamdulillah smoothly Mr. Kyai." Reply Akbar.
"When are you getting married?"
Akbar just fell silent then smiled while looking down.
"I'm worried about slandering you. You are young, successful, and many women are in love with you. Do you want them all to fantasize about you?" Kyai Nurdin.
"Astagfirullah hal adzim! Not Mr. Kyai, but for now... Emm... Later that night I will go to Arabia, meet the woman I love in silence, all this time I only dare to love her through do'a only Mr. Kyai." Reply Akbar.
"Alhamdulillah, there is a candidate. I pray that Allah will bless you, and bless your goodwill and your future there." Kyai Nurdin.
"Aamiinu. Then I go into the office first Mr. Kiyai, assalamu'alaikum." Akbar.
"Wa'alaikumsalam warohmatullahi wabarokatu."
When Akbar arrived at the office, he immediately rushed into the meeting room which had several employees waiting for him. But both of Akbar's eyes were fixed on one empty chair, Furqon had not come. Akbar sent Furqon a message to come, but there was no reply from his best friend until Akbar started the meeting.
The conclusion of the meeting Akbar put on Furqon's desk. Akbar saw Furqon's work drawer open, as he was about to close it there was one photo that made him interested to see. The photo shows an 8-year-old woman smiling at the camera, and Akbar knows that it is a picture of Hindun taken while celebrating his birthday.
Akbar smiled a little and put the photo in the drawer. Akbar's phone vibrated, he saw one call from his mother. Akbar called his mother back to make sure that her mother was okay.
"Assalamu'alaikum ma'am." Akbar.
^^^"Wa'alaikumsalam, did you meet nak Zahra?" Ask the mother.^^^
Akbar smiled happily as his mother asked about him and Zahra.
"God be ma'am. Where is mom again?"
^^^"Mother is waiting for ojek."^^^
"Where's mom going? Let Akbar buy you something if you want something."
^^^"Mom wants to go to market, would buy a prayer mat for nak Zahra. You will love me later, son."^^^
"God willing, ma'am."
^^^"The object has arrived son, mother goes first yes. Assalamu'alaikum."^^^
"Wa'alaikumsalam, mother be careful."
The phone connection was also cut off. Akbar continued his work. At about 15:10 Wib Furqon entered his office in a hurry. Then he saw Akbar was seriously working, Furqon just read the conclusion of the meeting while adjusting his breath.
"Drink fur first." Tell Akbar without taking his eyes off his computer.
"Sorry bar, I'm late." Furqon's voice was still regulating his breathing.
"It's okay, I've been like that too." Akbar said he finished his work so he could go home quickly.
Even though they are both owners, they still run the company rules that they have made and serve as an example for their employees.
"There's something I want to talk to you about at the bar." Furqon said seriously.
Akbar was silent for a moment, knowing that Furqon was going to talk about Khadijah.
"What?"
"Everything you say is true bar." Answer Furqon.
"About?"
"Indun. He told me all his feelings, I had mistaken him. And.. Today Hindun came home."
"You still love him?" Akbar asked much more seriously than his best friend.
"I don't know what a bar is, whether it's love or friendship." Answer Furqon.
"Sholat istikharah fur, God willing there is an answer. I can't give you any solution because Khadija is my sister and Hindun is my best friend. You have to decide, God willing it's best for everyone." Akbar.
"Did Khadijah know about me and Hindun bar during the ceremony?" Ask Furqon.
"Don't worry about my sister, whether or not Khadija knows about you and Hindun, I'm sure she's fine. Khadijah is stronger than me." Akbar replied smiling.
Furqon.
"You finish your business with Hindun, especially with your heart. Oh, yes, tonight I'm going to Arabia, you take over the job at the ya fur office." Said Akbar again.
"You're going to see Zahra?" Ask Furqon.
Akbar nodded, "yes." The answer.
Then Akbar went out of his room to the basement, because that day he would soon go home to see his mother. When he was about to step on the gas of his car, Akbar got a message from Zahra that he would wait for him with his umi and his ashes. With a happy feeling Akbar immediately drove his car out of his office, but in the middle of the journey the call came from his mother made Akbar smile adorned his handsome face.
"Assalamu'alaikum ma'am." Akbar.
^^^"Wa'alaikumsalam, sorry is this the mother's son who has this phone?" Asked a woman whom Akbar did not know his voice.^^^
"Yes my son. Where's my mother?" Ask Akbar worriedly.
^^^"Your mother was in an accident, and now she's in the hospital." Answer the woman.^^^
"What?!"
^^^"I sent the hospital address yes."^^^
"Hello."
"Hello."
Akbar could not say anything to Zahra other than an apology, he knew the risk if he did not come to see her but he could not leave his mother.
When Akbar arrived at the hospital he immediately ran to the icu room, Akbar saw the face of the woman he loved so pale, even the hose was in his mother's body. Akbar went inside and sat to the right of his mother.
"Mom," said Akbar.
Akbar clasped his mother's hand, the hand that used to gently caress her hair, the hand that used to raise it to the sky to pray for her son was now so weak. Unceasingly Akbar looked at his mother's face, in his cries Akbar only wished for her mother to come to her senses.
Akbar's phone rang, he saw Furqon's name calling himself. Akbar picked it up and told the truth. Furqon called the Khadijah boarding school when he learned his mother was being critical at the hospital. And immediately flew to Aceh to pick up his best friend's sister.
Adhan Maghrib has been proclaimed, Akbar immediately went to the mosque to carry out his obligations. Finish the Akbar prayer reading the Quran until the time of prayer isya.
With limped footsteps Akbar walked back to his mother's room. Akbar took a breath to calm himself down so as not to dissolve in sadness when Khadija came, as he had to be stronger than his sister to convince her that her mother would return into their arms.
"Excuse me, please." Said one of the mothers who came into the room.
Akbar wiped his tears, "can I help mom?" Tanya Akbar saw the face of the mother who looked pale and trembling while carrying a goodie bag in her hand.
"Emmm... Emm... There was... I have something to talk about." The answer.
Akbar looked at his mother's face and took her out of the room.
"Please sit down mom." Bring Akbar.
"Mas, I'm sorry." Said the mother.
"For?" Ask Akbar.
"My son who hit my mother, I'm really sorry." The mother replied in tears, remembering what happened to her son.
Akbar immediately fixated, he was silent a thousand languages heard the mother's confession.
"My son wants to go home after playing at his friend's house, but... He came home drunk, so the accident could not be prevented. I apologize mas. Because my son was panicking, he brought this prayer mat home." The mother gave me her bag.
Seeing Akbar who was silent as a statue in surprise, the mother immediately sat on the floor to bow to Akbar.
Akbar deftly refused the mother prostrate to him, and guided the mother to sit back in the chair with him.
"Thank God, thank you for being honest with me. What can I do, Mom?" Akbar said holding back his tears.
"My son is only 18 years old, I'm sorry mas." Say that mother again.
"The son of my sister's age mother who is in Aceh, maybe soon he will come and ask what happened to our mother. I don't know whether to blame the mother's child or not, because I only believe in God's destiny, this is all God's destiny. My mother always convinced me and my sister to always believe in God, no matter what happens in our lives, it must be the best for us and the gift of God. Because only we can get through it. Mom, I forgave everything when mom called me. Take good care of your child, hopefully it doesn't happen like this again." Akbar said smiling, then went inside to accompany his mother who had to fight through a critical period.
The mother immediately cried, she did not expect that Akbar had a wide forgiving heart for his son. He soon came home to see his son.
Beside his mother, Akbar opened the bag given by the mother. Akbar immediately cried to see the prayer rug that had been exposed to the blood of his mother, it turned out that it was the prayer mat that he would give to Zahra.
Before long Khadijah came and immediately cried when he entered the room of his mother, Akbar hugged his sister to calm him, he wiped away Khadijah's tears.
"lbu.hiks." Khadijah kissed his mother's hand.
Akbar exited the room and saw Furqon sitting by himself. Both of Akbar's eyes were puffy, Furqon knew how Akbar felt for now. Even Akbar canceled his departure to meet Zahra.
"Please have delivered Khadijah." Akbar said a long breath.
"Either. Bar, do I have to tell Zahra that she was in an accident so you can't see her?" Furqon just wants Zahra not to misunderstand her best friend.
Akbar shook his head, "no need to fur, I'm sure Zahra understands." The answer.
"Bar, man,"
"I know Zahra fur, he always gave everything about himself to God. Even about me not coming to see him."
"At least you gave Zahra a reason to bar so she can't wait for you anymore."
"I love him fur, if indeed he is not able to wait for me I sincerely, I mengikhlaskan."
"Well, if that's what you want."
Akbar gripped the bag tightly while enduring his sadness.
...***...
Zahra did not think that Akbar would come to see his parents, all the banquets Zahra had provided assisted by Bela. Zahra's face was so happy, she couldn't hide it all. Even Zahra's parents only knew that it turned out that all this time his only daughter loved Akbar.
If Akbar leaves at night, it is likely that morning he has arrived in Arabia, maybe Akbar afternoon will come to meet and convey his good intentions.
"Are you all ready, son?" Ask abi.
"Alhamdulillah is abi." Zahra smiled with a smile.
"What time will Akbar come?" Ask umi.
"Ba'da Ashar umi." Answer Bela.
"Serious ba'da Ashar bell?" Ask Zahra.
Bela nodded her head, "Yes. Don't worry Akbar will come here."
"Yes." Yeah." Zahra.
But after they pray Ashar, Akbar has not yet come, Zahra's eyes continue to look at the door hoping greeting from the voice of Akbar heard by him. The Maghrib Adhan was heard, abi decided to go to the mosque while Zahra and others prayed at home. Until entering the time isya Akbar never come, even his phone is not active.
Zahra was increasingly worried, while Bela was annoyed by Akbar's attitude which made Zahra continue to wait for his presence. At 10pm, Zahra's parents entered her room to rest, while Zahra was still faithfully sitting in the guest room waiting for Akbar's arrival.
"Uncle Ali." Said Bela giving Zahra's phone.
"Assalamu'alaikum uncle." Zahra.
^^^"Wa'alaikumsalam warohmatulli wabarokatu. Uncle heard that Akbar went to Arabia to meet your family, is that right?"^^^
Zahra took a breath, "Akbar did not come uncle."
^^^"What?! Didn't come?"^^^
"Yes." Yeah."
^^^"Akbar has never broken a promise to anyone, it is not Zahra's nature."^^^
"If there is something urgent I think someone could have reneged on his promise, Akbar is no exception."
^^^"What about your parents?"^^^
"They're in the room, take it easy uncle abi and Umi won't be disappointed in Akbar."
^^^"Trust Zahra, Akbar will come to see you. Uncle will ask him yes, then uncle call you again."^^^
"Yes uncle, thank you."
^^^"Yes you have rested yes, calm your mind."^^^
"Yes uncle, assalamu'alaikum."
^^^"Wa'alaikumsalam warohmatulli wabarokatu."^^^
The phone connection was cut off, Zahra walked into her bedroom worried about Akbar. Zahra took ablution water and prayed before she went to sleep, she turned her hands to heaven, with tears Zahra gave them all to God. Zahra could not hope in his heart nor in man, all the hopes of Zahra he had hung on Him.
..."O Allah, you are all-knowing, even your servant's heart. All I give You, Your love is greater than the love of Your creatures."...
