Lu[C]Ka Love
33. Touch Your Heart's

I've been here a month. I don't think I'll be able to do this. I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again, but this one month is thrilling for me.

After the incident a while ago, it turned out that Lucka did nothing to me. Not that Lucka wasn't mad at me. It's more because Chef Juna defended me. He fought hard so that I could still be in charge of composing the menu even though Lucka was against it. And then Lucka finally let me make a menu.

For days I tried to make a menu that could make people fall in love. Some people have felt the thump, but Lucka? He still felt nothing from our cooking. Everything has to be done slowly. Just like I used to wait for his heart for me.

I wouldn't expect more, Lucka. Being able to see you from afar is a joy in itself for me. It seems that everything is difficult. I still can't forget you, Lucka. . .

"Congratulations, Love. You made everyone fall in love with your food" Chef Juna told me.

"Thank you, Chef. It's all thanks to Chef too." I smiled proudly.

"Yes though it still hasn't touched the young master's heart..."

The smile on my face suddenly disappeared.

This handsome chef always says the right thing. Sometimes it sounds really annoying to my ears.

"You manage to cook using logic. That's the right thing."

"I cook from the heart, Chef," I replied aloud.

"No-no! You can't cook with just your heart. You need logic. Logic to combine multiple flavors in one menu, and produce a good taste and fit."

I never understood what he was talking about. But it's all true.

"You've managed to use your logic in cooking. Then why can't your heart choose with logic?"

"Did?" I don't understand what Chef Juna said.

"You're lying too much, love. You can't be honest about your feelings. You should be honest with your heart. No need to keep covering it up."

"What does Chef mean by saying that?" I'm starting to dislike this conversation.

"Yes already! Don't think! Go back to work!" Cuek Chef Juna left me who squeezed the apron out of annoyance.

...***...

Shift tonight, filled by Love, Jerry, and Bobby. Only a few employees are still in the office overtime.

Jerry asks Love for permission to change clothes. A day wearing Chef Jacket made him quite sultry.

While Love is still fond of whether to meet Lucka or not. He got a story from his friends that Lucka often came home late these few days.

"The night shift won't come every day. Not necessarily I get another chance. I have to see for myself whether Lucka is still in his office or not." Inner Love.

Love settles into Lucka's office space. The window is not covered by curtains. And it's true that Lucka was there.

Lucka is still struggling with his notebook. Love looked at Lucka from afar. He feels pity.

"It must be so tiring to be you, Lucka."

Then he went back to the kitchen and thought of something.

"Love, don't you change your clothes? Shift we're about to finish. And I don't think any more employees want to have dinner" said Jerry.

"Where's the hobby?" ask Love.

"So I met him in the locker room. He said to pull it off right after changing clothes."

"Ooh, emh, Jer. I think I want to cook something first. Suddenly I want to eat, hehe. So, you can go home first" Love lied.

"Ooh. Yes already. I'm gonna check into the cafe first, lock it up. I'll tell the security up front that you're still here. So that he doesn't lock the kitchen door. Go home when you're done!"

"Yes. Just relax." Love smiled at Jerry.

After Jerry's death, Love heads to the freezer room to pick up some groceries to cook. The room was quite large and of course cold.

Love wants to make Lucka's favorite food pasta. But as usual, will Love cook in the way of Indonesia, which is so bakmie jowo mainstay of Love.

"Why not think of yesterday anyway? I'm sure Lucka will fall in love with my bakmie jowo." Love is very excited.

After a month of menu that he made has not touched the heart of Lucka, then tonight, will Love make sure that the cuisine will touch the heart of Lucka, as before.

I'm sure you can feel this, Lucka. I will make you fall in love a second time.
