MAHMUD, I Love U

MAHMUD, I Love U
Prospective Ghosts

"Good day." The voice of a woman greeted Lina who was sitting alone in Griya's living room.

Today all schedules are empty from far away. It has indeed become a tradition made by Mayra if one of its employees has a birthday.

"Hi, Wuni huh? Let's sit!" Replied Lina who was familiar with the face of the person who greeted her through a photo given by Mayra a few days ago.

The woman, whose full name is Wuni Dewanti, sat down with Lina. Wuni is a new prospective employee who has been a few days ago Mayra informed several colleagues. Wuni is Mayra's friend's brother who will help her in the trade. She's an ayu girl, she's 25. Two years younger than Lina.

"Hi Ren, come get together first. There's a new family." Lina called Rendra who just happened to pass by.

Rendra manut's. He sat in the furthest seat, near the door. At a glance he looked, Wuni's face was like a stranger in his eyes. Rendra felt like she had met the woman before. But he forgot when and where.

Mayra came soon too. They now sit four of them on a sofa with a violet feel Griya Cantika.

"It's been a while?" Mayra cheers on her new co-worker.

"Just now, Ma'am. Hehe."

"Already acquainted?"

Wuni shook her head with a smile.

"Oh okay. Let's get acquainted, hehe." Mayra smiled.

"This is Lina the makeUp champion" said Mayra while pointing to the owner of the name. "This is Rendra the photographer, and I'll be with you who's the decor part." Mayra wrapped her index finger with her thumb.

"Good day, pakeeet." The voice of a courier is heard.

The courier was already in the middle of the door of Griya which was not closed. Rendra whose position is closest to the door, standing will receive a package. The three women who were a henchman sat compactly watching.

"For whom, sir?" Rendra received a bouquet of red roses from the courier sir.

"Receiver on behalf of Mayra, Mas. Please."

The courier handed him a piece of paper to sign as proof that the goods he sent had reached the recipient. Mayra smiled looking at the red rose for her.

"Terramatized." Mayra snatched the flower from Rendra and immediately ran towards the chair under the palm tree. He immediately opened his phone and called Azka.

📞 "Hello, lamaaaang." Mayra immediately opened the conversation when her phone was picked up.

📞 "Hello also my dear, what's up? An hour ago, was it a phone call?" Azka's voice was heard chewing something.

📞 "By eating, Yank?"

📞 "Huum."

📞 "Yank?"

📞 "Hm?"

📞 "Thank you. Hehe," Mayra said shyly as she stared at the red rose in her arms.

Azka across the street had not answered. The crackling sounds in Mayra's ears.

📞 "You since in Jakarta so diligently send flowers for me huh? I like it, hehe. Sally." Mayra said gaam.

📞 "What flower, Yank?"

📞 "The red rose has arrived." Mayra kissed the rose.

📞 "Yank, today I did not send flowers loh," the voice of Azka across began firmly.

Hearing Azka's reply, Mayra kept the flower away from her embrace. She's quiet. Didn't Azka send?

📞 "Yank, I'll call you again."

Mayra cut off the phone with her husband. He sat down on the chair, twirling the bouquet of flowers hoping to find something. And this time there's a little card tucked in there.

Have a Nice Day, Mayra.

Mayra blinked her eyes. He was immediately annoyed by the innocent rose. Soon she passed by leaving the bouquet of roses on the chair.

***

"Sore."

A man greeted Wuni who was tidying up the contents of her bag in the living room. It's 4 o'clock past, it's time for the employees to go home. But in the hours of returning home like this, there are guests who visit Griya.

"Sore. Can we help you, sir?" Wuni answered kindly.

"Mayra's mom is there, sir. A moment I...."

"Mayra's home!"

Rendra's voice sounded from within. He walks in with Wuni and the guest of the man he knows, Sandu.

Sandu's eyes glanced dislikely because the answers of the two interlocutors were different. One of them must be lying, he thought.

Rendra walked out of Griya and gestured for Sandu to follow her. Rendra continued walking until he exited the Griya gate.

"San, don't you go see Mayra again!" Rendra orders Sandu, Mayra's uninvited guest.

"I need to see him, Ren. I want to explain everything" said Sandu.

"She knows you're here?" Rendra. He is sure, there will be something bad again to Mayra if Risa finds out her lover came to see her.

Sandu.

"So Risa's right? You haven't been able to get away from Mayra? It's crazy!" Cynical lace.

"Everyone has a name in his heart that he can't forget, Ren. And I know it's wrong. But aren't you wrong, too?"

Rendra scrunched his forehead hearing Sandu's words.

"Wrong?"

"You like Mayra too, don't you?"

Rendra did not answer.

"So who's crazy? I'm her ex who obviously already knows how Mayra is, what are you? Young man who likes married women?" Sandu is cynical.

From Sandu's words, Rendra concluded something.

"Oooh so you're the one who's been sending Mayra flowers?"

***

Rendra and Mayra were sitting opposite each other in a car splitting the night road. At 10 am Rendra hurriedly knocked on Mayra's door and asked her to come with him. Rendra's face was pale. He's driving his car no matter what. Mayra told him several times to be careful. Occasionally tears fell from the eyes of the man Mayra knew. There was compassion in his heart.

Before long, Rendra's car had arrived at the parking lot of a hospital. He immediately went down and took Mayra's hand into it until they got in front of a room. Without hesitation Rendra opened the door. There, a middle-aged man was drowning with an oxygen aid in his nose.

Rendra looked at his father. He recalled a few weeks ago when he had a casual conversation with his father.

⬅️

"Who's the name of the woman you're appraising, Ren?"

Rendra was sitting on the porch with her father that night. They were enjoying the night together while enjoying a cup of sweet coffee.

"Hehe. Mayra, yeah."

Rendra who indeed has no secrets with his father is not reluctant to tell stories. To him, his father was his best friend. And the father will gladly listen to every story of his only son.

"Take him here, Ren. Introduce to dad. If you can, just make it a son-in-law."

"Haha. This father is. Do you want me to get married quickly?"

"Well? You are an adult, work is there. Waiting especially? Don't long date the unclear end."

"Haha. This means you're insinuating me with Bella?"

The father chuckled. He was happy because his son was not too sad when he lost Bella. And he thinks it's because of Mayra.

"Here you go, the point is you promise, take Mayra to dad, right? I want to meet."

➡️

Rendra shed her tears again. He saw the monitor screen next to the bed, his father's heartbeat was stable. But his father was not yet conscious.

Mayra, who could not comment, just stood behind Rendra. He did not know that the man in front of him could also be this fragile. The man who used to be indifferent had only his father in this world.

Mayra put one of her hands on Rendra's shoulder braced.

"Later in front of my father, you just say 'yes', yes!" pinta Rendra while still on the trip said the doctor, "the possibility of my father surviving is very small", he added.

Rendra's eyes were glazed. He had imagined it would feel like he would lose the person he loved so much again. And he doesn't want to. She asked Mayra to say 'yes' in front of her father when she said "This is my son-in-law's future."
