Azka and Sandu both drove their cars through the rain again towards the agreed place, a small coffee shop near a red light that was said to be open 24 hours. It was almost 11 o'clock. Azka initially proposed to meet in Kopikita, but she remembered that maybe the famous delicious coffee shop was closed. Remembering the day is already night especially coupled with rain. Finally Sandu proposed a coffee shop that would be open 24 hours that he knew it.
On the way, Azka had already thought about what things she should say later. While Sandu was busy guessing about the purpose of her ex-boyfriend's husband, he invited her to meet just after he sent Mayra a message. Not wanting to run away from responsibility, whatever Azka will do later, Sandu will accept it. But she was sure that Mayra's husband would probably speak nicely to her. If Azka wanted to fight, maybe she had chosen an open field instead of inviting him to 'coffee together'.
Sruuu.
Sandu's car first landed in front of the 24-hour coffee shop he meant because it happened to be Sandu's position when it was closer to the location. Sandu surrounded his eyes looking for another vehicle that might belong to Azka. In front of the shop were only two motorcycles that were rained down. Not much thought, Sandu ran into the store and immediately ordered two cups of coffee and two glasses of ginger. The man sat at one of the tables on which were already available several packs of leather and emery beans.
"Sir, aya-boiled beans?" ask Sandu to the father of a fairly old shop owner who is concocting his ordered coffee.
--Sir, there's boiled beans?
"Yes, Jang. Bade sabaraha bowl?" answer the Father offering.
-There, Son. How many bowls?
"Two wae, sir."
both of them yes, sir.
"Muhun."
- Fine.
Sandu nodded with a smile. Although he has not long lived in Bandung, but Sundanese language is quite fluent. Sandu also rarely spoke Sundanese except with people he considered old like the owner of the coffee shop he went to that night for example.
Inside the tavern there was only Sandu and two others, Azka had not come yet. Sandu reached into his pants pocket to pick up the phone to contact Azka. But not yet Sandu looking for Azka number, the sound of the car stopped heard from outside. Sandu put his phone on the table because he was sure the person he was waiting for had come.
And sure enough, before long a young man who that night was wearing trending pants and a young ash hoodie sweater came in while wagging his hair that was slightly wet with rain water. Sandu immediately waved his hand giving the code. Azka nodded her head and walked towards Sandu's desk.
"It's been a while?" asked Azka kindly while sitting in front of Sandu.
"Just now, really," replied Sandu casually as if being asked by a friend.
"People, Jang!" The store owner came with all of Sandu's orders and placed them on the table.
-please, Son!
Sandu nodded and thanked. While Azka was made to chuckle thinly seeing two cups of coffee, two glasses of ginger wedang, and two bowls of steaming boiled beans suddenly in front of her.
"It's all a banquet?" Azka teasingly pointed at the table in front of her which was suddenly full.
"Yes, take it that way." Sandu stuffed one boiled bean into his mouth.
Azka chuckled again while nodding. "Okay, now I understand why you could be Mayra's girlfriend first."
For Azka, the way Sandu treated her was quite okay as well. Although visited by her ex-boyfriend's husband, but the man instead treated her like a friend. Azka finally understood why Sandu could be one of his wife's chosen men, long ago. Sandu chuckled. Without further ado, Azka sipped her ginger wedang slowly.
"Sisa's your fiancee?" tanya Azka then did not want to waste much time. She worries that Mayra wakes up and realizes she is not in bed.
Sandu nodded. "Yes, an hour ago. It's not anymore."
"Risa I have decided," said Sandu without burden.
"Ooh." Azka pursed her lips. "You really still love my wife?" Azka.
Sandu's lips lifted up a fraction of his cent and looked at Azka fixedly. "Our conversation will stay relaxed or turn hot if I tell the truth?"
Azka sighed and leaned her body against the body of the chair behind her. Azka folded her hands in front of her chest. "Yes, depends. But for a while, I made sure our conversation would be relaxing. I didn't come here to riot, anyway."
Sandu nodded in agreement. The man in front of him had indeed looked relaxed ever since he had come. Sandu was sure that everything would be safe.
"If you were in my position now, in a state that is familiar in how Mayra is, would you easily forget it or not?" Sandu deliberately made Azka understand just by turning things around.
Azka nodded in understanding. The woman named Mayra was special from the beginning she knew him too. Mayra is very kind, smart, and fun. She is very easy to love but hard to forget. And Azka could not completely blame Sandu. Especially to his knowledge, the ex-wife never acted on his family. And for Azka, Sandu's feelings for Mayra didn't matter. The highlight that night was Risa, who had obviously hurt his wife both physically and verbally.
"OKAY. Now it's safe for you. As long as you keep quiet about your feelings, I don't care. What I want to talk about tonight is about Risa, your fiance," Azka said.
"Yes, I understand. Risa has crossed the line. And I hope you can take better care of Mayra. Because it looks like Risa will continue to disturb Mayra until she's destroyed."
"Destroyed???" Azka's eyes glared in surprise, in disbelief. He did not understand why Risa could hate his wife so deeply.
Sandu nodded. "I'm sorry, all this is because of me. And I promise, I'll take care of everything."
"In what way? Didn't you say you broke up with Risa?"
"That's easy. I can go back to him. I married her, and then I invited her to live in Solo. That way, Mayra can be safe."
Azka chuckled at Sandu's explanation which was as if everything was that easy. He shook his head slowly. "Damn! You're cooler than I thought."
"You mean?" ask Sandu astonished.
Azka flanged slowly. "Forget it!"
Azka sat with both hands on the table. He looked at Sandu fixedly while smiling half cynically. Azka was jealous. The man in front of him was able to sacrifice in such a way for the peace and safety of his wife, Mayra.
"Do you hate me for being Mayra's husband?" tanya Azka nyeleneh suddenly made Sandu choke.
"No! I think Mayra is happy living with you. And I'm even grateful. I used to be mean to him," Sandu said while eating the boiled beans.
Azka was silent to listen.
"From the time Mayra was a good boyfriend, I wasn't. I cheated on the girl from another High School. Though if you think about it now, Mayra used to be less what?" Sandu chuckles. Azka was still faithfully listening. "So now you should thank me. If I hadn't cheated, it might be Mayra's husband now who was me."
"Hahaahaha." Azka laughed out loud. He admitted that Sandu's talk had a point. "OKAY. Accept."
"Hahahahahha, the same." Sandu. "It's better like this turns out. Rather than us rumbling indistinctly, we better just focus on the goodness of Mayra. We take care of Risa together."
Azka nodded in agreement then chuckled again. He did not expect that his meeting that night with his ex-wife turned out to be even as if adding a list of friends in his life. "Oh yeah by the way, Mayra's phone is really on Risa??"
"Mayra's phone??"
