MAHMUD, I Love U

MAHMUD, I Love U
Old Photos

Rendra stared at the ground on which his shoes were treading. Actually he hesitates to reveal everything to Gendis. But the man suddenly felt immediately convinced that Gendis was the right person for the place to share the story. Gendis is the owner of her workplace as well as the aunt of the woman she loves. He was sure Gendis would be neutral. How to talk even Rendra likes. Gendis was not necessarily angry or judged that Rendra was guilty. The way that Gendis directly makes Rendra comfortable and trusting.

"Sir Sanusi Sudibyo, is it Mayra's father?" ask Rendra at last.

Gendis. There was no suspicious look on the face of the woman. Because maybe her parents once told Rendra about her parents' names, right?

"And his mother's name is Sulasmi's mother?"

Gendis nodded again. "You're telling me what Mayra's parents' names are?"

"Just a second!" Rendra reached into his pants pocket and took his wallet. Then from his wallet he took a small photo of the color is getting worn out. "It." Rendra thrust the photo at Gendis.

The young aunt watched the photo closely. Inside were two children sitting side by side. One girl was in her 7s, and next to her was a 2-year-old boy. Gendis's eyes are now round. He clearly knew who the little girl in the photo was.

"It's Mayra, right??" Gendis does not believe that Rendra could have a photo as a child of his father.

Rendra nodded. He didn't talk much on purpose. He wanted to let Gendis ask first. He was sure that after he thrust out the old photo, the woman in front of him must immediately have so many questions.

"And this little boy??" gendis asked curiously while pointing at the photo of the male toddler with his index finger. His eyes looked at Rendra's eyes deeply.

"That's me, Te."

"Huh??? You????" Gendis could not help but be surprised that the little boy beside Mayra was little Rendra.

Rendra nodded. Gendis still gaped in disbelief.

"You ... Mayra's brother?" guess Gendis nyeleneh.

"Hahaha, no, Te. Auntie thinks this is what soap opera? The girl he loves is his outcast brother?" Rendra tried to laugh to break the silence. But Gendis still had no expression. Rendra laughed without a sound. The woman in front of him was as surprised as she used to be when she first found out that the girl next to her in the photo was Mayra.

"That picture was a long time ago, Te. The photo is on my late father's album. But I didn't know that the little girl I was photographing was Mayra. Until that night...."

⬅️

(Short footage is in episode 16)

"Who's the name of the woman you're appraising, Ren?"

Rendra was sitting on the porch with her father that night. They were enjoying the night together while enjoying a cup of sweet coffee.

"Hehe. Mayra, yeah."

"Mayra? What's his full name?" The father immediately looks curious when the name Mayra is called.

Rendra's eyes were suspicious. "Why, Dad?"

"Have you called it first. What's the full name of the girl you're appraising?"

"Shina Mayrella, Dad. What's up, Dad?" Rendra was curious. Because only this time his father asked the full name of the girl he was telling.

The father nodded slowly, his eyes looking forward. "The world is this tight, huh?"

"What do you mean, Dad?" Rendra still doesn't understand.

"Let's get a photo album on top of dad's closet!"

Without asking much, Rendra walked to his father's room and took a photo album measuring about 30x35cm in green and extinct on top of the closet. While walking back towards the terrace, Rendra stared at the green album in wonder. Tumben-tumbenan his father asked for a photo album night-night.

"This, Dad." Rendra handed the album to her father and sat down.

The father received the album and immediately opened the sheets one by one.

"That Mayra's from Solo?" guess the dad whose eyes are still focused on the album in front of him.

"Yes, Dad." Rendra frowned increasingly confused.

"You remember Mr Sanusi?" ask the father while stopping at one photo and pointing at it. His eyes looked at Rendra. Rendra glanced at the photo that her father's index finger pointed at.

There is a photo of the young father with his striped shirt and cutbray pants, his father is seen standing in arms with someone.

"You're! Remember no?" hardik the father patted his son on the back.

"Hahahaha, yeah Well remember. That's my dad's friend in Solo, right? Did I meet Mr. Sanusi when I was in elementary school, right?"

"Well, right. A minute!"

After hearing Rendra's reply, my father reopened the photo album. Now his hand stopped on the photo of little Rendra sitting side by side with the little girl in two braids.

"This is what you remember?" Ask the father pointing at a photo of little Rendra.

"Where do I remember, Dad. In the photo I was still small" protested Rendra as he fused his thumb with his little finger.

"Ck! This kid, yeah!!" The father was eager to pick up his ignorant son.

In the photo, Rendra is still a child. But the father once told him who the girl in the photo was.

"Hahahaha, yes Yah abuuun!! She's Maya, right? Mr Sanusi's son?" guess Rendra again.

What Rendra knows is that the little girl with whom he is photographed is Maya, the son of his father's friend, Mr. Sanusi. And Rendra never thought about it more. Because all this time he also never again met the Maya.

"You want to know what the full name of this little girl is?" ask the father seriously.

"Who, Dad?" Although Rendra actually did not want to know, but he pretended to be pretentious to know in honor of his father who looked serious.

"Shina Mayrella."

Rendra was unable to say anything, her mouth gaping, her eyes round. His father's answer was beyond belief. For a few seconds Rendra did not wince, he was really surprised.

"That's Mayra, Dad?? Let me see!" Rendra snatched the album from his father's hand, his hand shaking.

Rendra looked at the little girl with a sweet smile sitting beside her. A row of white teeth was seen there. But Rendra's eyes were focused on the cheek of the little girl he knew named Maya. The girl's right cheek is one. Rendra's heart suddenly beat fast.

"This is true Mayra, Dad?" Rendra still doesn't believe it. His view is half empty.

"Yes, maybe. Dad just matched the name of the girl you called with the son of this father friend. Because all this time I've only heard one name Mayra. Yes, this Maya."

"Then why the whole time I knew the girl in this photo was named Maya, Dad??" Rendra still can't believe it.

"Maya's a little Mayra call, Ren. The Mayra used to call herself Maya because she could not pronounce the letter R." The father chuckled. His only child was apparently in love with the little girl in the album he had saved for decades.

"Take him here, Ren. Introduce to dad. If you can, just make it a son-in-law."

Rendra remained silent. He was still trying to digest the reality he got that night. The father chuckled again.

"Already! Don't be surprised for long. Everything may have been fate, Ren. Maybe he's your soul mate, right?"

"Haha." Rendra started to fall apart. A soul mate?? It was very desirable that she said that the little Maya in the photo was married. But he intentionally huffed. "Dad this is. Do you want me to get married quickly?"

"Well? You are an adult, work is there. Waiting especially? Don't long date the unclear end."

"Haha. This means you're insinuating me with Bella?" Rendra tried to end his surprise by laughing, although in fact he was still very surprised.

The father chuckled. He was happy because his son was not too sad when he lost Bella. And he thinks it's because of Mayra.

"Here you go, the point is you promise, take Mayra to dad, right? I want to meet."

Gendis grew silent, her mouth was still open, her eyes still barking unblinkingly. He was really surprised by the story that Rendra shared. Gendis then shook her head awake.

"So, is your father a friend of Sanusi's?" tanya Gendis convincingly referred to his brother-in-law as 'Mas'.

Rendra nodded.

"So you loved Mayra to the best of extent because of this photo?" ask Gendis again.

Rendra shakes. "It's not just that, Te."
