"What are you hiding from me, Owen?"scowl Gloria as soon as her husband arrives at the Mansion. Owen did not go to the office, he wanted to immediately solve his problem with Uncle Markus but he remembered the condition of his wife, surely Gloria was very hysterical when she found out Jeff was taken by Uncle Markus.

"Gloria, calm down." said Owen, trying to convince his wife that he was not calm.

"How would I have calmed down, my baby was taken by your uncle without my permission. You should've opened up to me what's really going on, Owen! So I can be more careful!" angry Gloria.

Owen could not answer his wife's words anymore, he saw Gloria's face being hit hard. Memories of his past when he saw his biological mother hysterically when he saw his father die began to turn back on his head. It's like Dejavu coming back. He worried about Gloria's psychic state because of this incident, for whatever sake he cursed himself for this incident.

"I'll take Jeff from him. I'll bring our son back, baby." Owen said softly, determined inwardly, he carried Gloria into his arms.

Soon, Oxela and Jared come to the house, but today Oxela is going to the hospital for a final check-up before her expected delivery at the end of this month, but hearing the news of Jeff being kidnapped by Uncle Markus, Oxela and Jade come to the Owen Mansion in a hurry.

"Xela, please take care of your sister-in-law! I'll take care of all this" Pinta Owen stared at the little sister.

Oxela nodded. "Yes, brother" he answered.

Jade patted Owen on the shoulder. "I'll take care of them" he said.

"Thanks," said Owen nodded at a glance then passed along with some of the bodyguards he had hired. Not to forget he also gave extra care to keep watch at his Mansion.

"I told you, the old man will not remain silent, Owen!" sean said when he found out Jeff was taken by his father.

"So what's your decision?"

"You know I don't want that throne!" Sean Decak.

"I know, but I'd be crazy if anything happened to Jeff. Gloria won't forgive me either!" owen is frustrated.

On the way to Uncle Mark's Mansion, Owen was always moving restlessly. He had no strategy to fight Uncle Markus because his head was currently as if he could not think.

"I thought all the shackles of the dark world had escaped me. It turns out that removing the throne does not merely make me free. The shadows will follow me!" inner Owen realized everything, but if asked to return to the mafia world, he still did not want to. Owen, Sean, and several bodyguards who were present at Uncle Markus' house.

"Where's my son?" asked Owen with a thunderous voice in that magnificent Mansion.

Uncle Markus just smirked a little. Moreover, he saw Sean coming home with Owen.

"You're back, son?" ask Uncle Markus to Sean.

"Sean?" muttered Owen who started thinking strangely.

"I'm sorry Owen, I don't want the throne to fall on me. It is with a heavy heart that I negotiate with my father about your son. So, Jeff's gonna stay here because he's gonna be the heir to that dark kingdom."

Sean's remarks enraged Owen. At that moment he knew the cunning of this father and son. It turns out they are indeed eyeing Jeff as their successor.

"Sean!!! I helped you and you set me up!" Owen got emotional and pulled out his gun right then and there.

"Sorry Owen, I didn't ask you to help me! That's the result if you have too much conscience. If your late father is still alive, he'll be disappointed that you've grown into a weak man!" Sean instead mocked Owen with his grin. Plan succeeded. He does not have to bear the burden of being the heir to the throne of the Father, because the kingdom will still fall to the true heir because Jeff is the flesh of Owen.

"We'll just wait a few more years. Jeff's gonna grow up to be a strong kid and not like you, Owen!" kekeh Mark chimed in the words of his son.

Owen pointed his gun at Uncle, but the man did not shake as if he was not afraid of the action Owen did. It was as if Owen would not dare shoot him. Do not ask his feelings at this time because it is manipulated by both father and son who only think of the throne and position. Owen was very disappointed with Sean who tricked him. The man will be in his hands.

"Maybe you can escape from your own throne, but nothing can prevent your son from inheriting it. He'll stay with me and grow in the life he's supposed to." Uncle Markus smiled with satisfaction.

Owen could not control himself anymore, he shot the Uncle and made the old body goosebumps. Meanwhile, the sound of another gunshot roared in the same room, following to avenge Owen's actions. Owen had seen a sneaky glint in Sean's eyes. It was he who caused all this to happen and it was his plan that Uncle Mark found out about his son, Jeff.

Jared lunged at Owen's body to protect his superior to duck down immediately. A hail of gunfire ensued and of course it was the result of gunfire between their two camps.

"We must return, sir." Jared looked at Owen with a reassuring look, as they took cover behind a large pillar.

Owen shook his head, "I won't be back before I bring my son home."

"This is very dangerous. Our people can't possibly stand against Mr. Mark's people."

"Then, Jeff?" lirih Owen's.

"Jeff is planned to be their heir. For that, they won't hurt him. We'll think about how to get Jeff out of here."

".... we should at least have a more organized strategy to trick them like they're tricking us" Jared said.

And when their conversation stopped, Owen and Jared both saw a familiar figure in the Mansion.

"Why is he here?" Owen and Jared looked at each other.
