Marriage, Love Later

Marriage, Love Later
The unexpected

Kiara grunts. The car tire deflated, but wanted to rush home.

Rama came just as he was calling a driver to pick him up. The man frowned at the look on Kiara's face that was so riled up.

"Kiara, what's wrong?" rama asked, after Kiara finished calling.

"Ah, this ... my car tires .. well, leaked," replied Kiara, finally resigned while pointing to his red Audi brand car.

Rama glanced at the direction of the show, watching it as if understanding. "Em, have you called derek?"

"Yes, this is just a phone call" Kiara replied as she pressed a phone number on her phone.

Rama's meaningful smile was growing. Maybe God gave her this opportunity to take Kiara home. It's just today, and he's not gonna let it go!

"Yes, if that's what I bring home, yes," said Rama afterwards, rather carefully while hoping to get a welcome from Kiara.

Seeing Kiara weighing up her answer, Rama's hope grew bigger. It seemed, luck was indeed on her side. Shortly after, Kiara gave an answer with a knotty smile accompanied by a doubtful nod.

Rama's smile spread wide, immediately excited to invite Kiara to where her car is parked. He shows his friendly attitude which opens the car door for Kiara. The girl was quite impressed, accepting that attitude with an awkward smile.

So happy was this, until Rama rushed to the driver's seat after letting Kiara into his car. Spring, he drove the car, but with the usual speed to buy more time alone with the girl.

"Have you called the tow trucker?" rama asked, as soon as he saw Kiara who had just finished calling.

"Udah, sir," Kiara replied as she entered her phone into the bag. "Thanks a lot for the ride, I'm not good with you."

Rama laughed a little. "Don't panggi 'father' dong, I'm not married yet, and we're the same age, right? Call me 'Rama' aja."

"Rama?" Kiara repeated, awkwardly. "Oh, okay...."

Although impressed still reluctant, Rama's heart seemed to float to nirvana. His name being called by him alone was enough. But he hopes to be more than this. And perhaps, taking her home is the beginning of a relationship that will develop after this. Thank you if they get to a more serious stage. Kiara is the type of woman she dreams of.

Okay, now he dares to move forward faster. "Em .. if allowed, I would like to eat with your family. That too if allowed," said Rama without hesitation broke through his limits.

However, Kiara is even uncomfortable with Rama's hasty attitude. He has not told his parents about himself. He himself is okay, but what is worried is the response of his parents later.

Rama becomes disappointed to see the look on Kiara's face of doubt, let alone the girl thinking long enough to make up her mind. Well, maybe the pace is too fast. It's good that he's cropping up before Kiara feels uncomfortable.

"Oh, yes if not. It's okay," said Rama while laughing small as a disguise of his disappointment. "Maybe next time."

"It's not that." Kiara hastily replied, not feeling good. Then, he fell silent and thought again.

Maybe he doesn't have to worry about his parents. After all, papa and his mother are good people, surely they will accept Rama with pleasure. Hopefully.

"Yes, you can have lunch together at home" he added.

Even though he was happy, Rama did not want to rush to euphoria. "Relatedly? I don't mean you make...."

"The truth is, it's okay" Kiara said, then smiled. "You can join me in lunch with my family. But, sorry if the food is just home-cooked."

Whatever it is, Rama is happy. His smile grew, and he replied, "Taste home? I really like it."

Thank goodness if it is so. Kiara smiled with relief while nodding. The topic of the discussion changes so that the awkwardness fades, and kills time on the road to Kiara's house. They talk about their teaching and their students. It was easy for them to get along, and Rama could enjoy every smile and laugh of Kiara as the conversation was punctuated by a hint of joking.

While driving forward, Rama recorded in his brain the entire route of the road to Kiara's house. Even if only once, he has already memorized it. So, tomorrow-tomorrow he can come here to just stop by or pick up Kiara.

They arrived in front of a brown fence made of teak wood that was quite high. Rama pressed his car twice on the advice of Kiara, and the fence was opened by a security guard. Rama drove his car back to the front door.

However, Kiara frowned when she saw the luxurious car parked in front of her. Didn't it belong to a foreign man's car that came in last week? What else is he doing here?

Kiara was stunned and turned her head. "Ah, yes!" say it, then hurry open the seat belt.

Just as they got out of the car, a handsome foreign man along with his secretary had just walked out of his house. The man's gaze immediately led to her, as did Kiara. They cross paths without greeting, Rama wonders in his heart about the handsome man before him.

"Come, let's go," said the man coldly, instantly turning his face away after the sighting encounter between him and Kiara happened for almost a minute.

Kiara grunts. What the fuck? Arrogant man! As a guest, shouldn't he greet the owner of the house?

"Who is he, Kiara?" asked Rama, who had been holding the question in his head ever since.

Without even a hint of turning her eyes to the man's luxury car, Kiara replied cynically. "No idea. Papa's guest? Okay, don't think about it. Yuk, go inside. Please."

Kiara reached out her hand, welcoming Rama in a friendly manner. However, the man told Kiara to walk first in front of him. Kiara welcomed the hospitality with a smile and climbed the stairs to the door.

He entered the house cheerfully. It felt like he wanted to rush to introduce Rama to his parents. However, he was even surprised to see his father and mother hugging in the living room while crying.

Soon he approached the two, bowed before him, and asked, "Pa, Ma, what is this? Why are you crying? What ... did that man do something to you?"

Her stepmother stopped crying, looking at her as she shook her head. "No, Son. But ... but...." His voice choked due to the sobbing, but the bitterness felt also became the cause of difficult to continue his speech.

"But what, Ma?" insist Kiara. "Okay, Mama try to calm down first, then later the story, huh?"

Maybe it's time Kiara found out. She was no longer a little girl, and her papa finally opened her voice. "Our company is bankrupt, son," he said sobbing, keeping his head down.

Bankrupt? Since when? All this time, that Kiara knew their company was in good shape. Of course this made him shocked. Long enough for him to believe the truth spoken from the lips of his father.

"No way, Pa. All this time, our company has not experienced any problems. But, why all of a sudden...."

"How do you know!" his stepmother riled. "Not working in a company, you instead choose to work as a kindergarten teacher!"

Mother snapped? Kiara nodded, surprised. Unexpectedly, her gentle and affectionate stepmother did this.

"Not that, all this time Mama supported me to be a kindergarten teacher?" kiara complained, sad.

"Yes! Because I think the company is in good shape, and papa is still able to run the company. But you see? Papa's health is now deteriorating! The company's pace has dropped, some investors have withdrawn their funds, and now we have debt in the bank. What you think...."

"Farah, please do not continue," reprimanded her husband, who did not want her daughter to be more compassionate to the state of this family. Moreover, they were currently in the midst of the arrival of guests.

The woman closed her mouth, sat down next to her husband again, grunting. The middle-aged man watched his frozen daughter with teary eyes. He knew, Kiara was also worried about their situation.

He didn't want that to burden him. He should calm her down. So, he grabbed Kiara's hand, then wrapped her hand gently with both hands wrinkled.

Isakan Kiara stopped, turning her gaze to the father who was smiling bitterly.

"Son, don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine. Papa will try hard to maintain the company," he said, stored warmth that actually makes Kiara's heart melt.

"If I had chosen to work for the company, it probably wouldn't have been so gini" Kiara said, sobbing as she cupped her face into her father's hand.

Papa's hand reached the top of his head, then stroked him gently. "Don't blame yourself. Papa supports whatever you aspire to."

Still, Kiara felt more guilty. Since then, he has regretted a choice based on his ego.

Her body is getting tired. Plus, seeing the sadness of the child weighed on his chaotic mind. Papa reached out his hand to his wife, asking her to take him to the room.

The wife carefully removed it. However, just a few steps away, papa's body suddenly collapsed. Kiara hurried up and approached while screaming in panic.

"AMMA!"[]
