Kiara sat in the chair in front of her papa room being treated. He lowered his head, grabbed his face with his fingers, and cried without a sound.
Rama just stood in front of him, pity. The chance to get close to Kiara turns disastrous. He was at the scene of the bitter events of Kiara's life.
He doesn't know what to do. Showing sympathy? Is it right for Kiara now?
Rama thought again. Maybe he can only do this. So, he rested in front of Kiara, grabbed the girl's hand—though at first hesitantly extended his hand.
Kiara looked up slightly, looking at Rama. Then, Rama took him in a swoop in his chest.
"Your father must be fine" said Rama softly.
"Maybe it's because I'm papa so this way," whined Kiara a mouthful.
"Sssshhh, don't blame yourself. You heard that, right? Your father doesn't blame you at all. Who would have thought it would be like this. No one will know all God's plans."
The speech that was accompanied by a gentle pat on his back, faded a bit of his sadness. Kiara's cry slowly stopped, unconsciously held tightly to Rama's body. Indeed, this man was what he needed right now. The man who can give it back when the heart grieves.
Later on, Kiara remembered someone who was also more grieving than her. Her stepmom.
He was stunned and turned to his mother, who was crying while standing at the door of the room. He also approached her. His face glared at the woman, then hugged her.
"Mama go home first, huh? Let me take care of you here," said Kiara, her tears streaming down again.
The woman took off her embrace while wiping her tears. "You're the one who came home. You must be tired and hungry" he said, no more riled up tones like that. "I'm sorry Mama yelled at you earlier. Mama ... My mother was very confused because this bad thing happened. Now, Mama doesn't know how to pay off our family's debts."
Kiara thought about it too. He sighed. What's he supposed to do? He has a little bit of savings, but is that helpful?
The sound of running steps sounded. Their eyes turned to that voice. Kelvin came in with still wearing school uniform.
Then, he approached his mother and brother who were dumbfounded looking at him. "Sister, Ma, how's papa doing?"
"Kelvin, why don't you change your clothes if you want to come here?" asked Kiara, somewhat reprimanding.
"Have you eaten, son?" Now, it was her mother's turn to search.
Kelvin's breathing has not been regular to answer their barrage of questions. He was given time to calm down, until his breath was no longer breathless, then he replied, "One of the servants told me about my father when I got home. That's why I ran straight here. And I can't eat."
The look of anxiety was drawn from the woman. However, before being fouled again, Kelvin hurriedly said again.
"So, papa how's it going, Ma?"
The woman he asked looked at Kiara, between reluctance and unwillingness to answer. But the boy needs to know. And with the heart of the fisherman, he replied, "Your father had a stroke. And now papa's not even rumbling."
Kelvin sighed, his body instantly squeezing. Kiara knew the feeling the teenager was going through, she stiffened it with a gentle embrace and caress on her shoulders.
"Why so gini anyway?" kelvin mumbles.
"Later I'll tell you. You take your mom home first, keep eating. Let me keep watch here, "persuade Kiara.
"But how will you? You haven't eaten either" the stepmother said, disagreeing that Kiara sacrificed herself, while she was tired and hungry.
Kiara's bitter smile grew, not enough to wipe the anxiety of her sister and stepmother. "I'll eat later" he answered, then turned to Rama. "Sir Rama, please take my mother and sister home, will you?"
"No need, sir. I went home after delivering my mother and sister. You must be tired. And anyway, you have to teach the kids tomorrow. Sorry for bothering you, and I thank you for your help."
The subtle rejection that even makes Rama disappointed. However, Rama did not want to force if it was Kiara's desire.
"Yes, that's it. Come on, Mom, Kelvin, I'll take you home."
Kiara escorted them to the end of the hall, then returned to the front of her father's nursery with slow steps. The iron chair came to him, but he instead turned to the doorway of the room.
Through a small window, he looked at the body of the father who was lying with medical devices attached. Again, tears welled up, then sobbed. His life is ruined, but he is even more helpless if he loses his father.
"Pa, wake up, heal quickly so that we can gather again and face our difficulties together. I'll help as much as I can. I'm sure this is gonna be over soon."
Can't stand the feeling of holding back the crying. Slowly, he headed for the chair, then sat there with his eyes in tears.
Because he looked down with his face cupped by his hands, he was unaware of someone's arrival. He stopped before her, flinching for quite a while while looking at her.
Tired, he stopped his crying. When his face was exposed, he saw a pair of black pantofel-shoeed legs that were in front of him. He was stunned, then looked over with round eyes.
The stranger in his house! Is she here?
Without saying anything, the man thrust a white bag at her. Kiara only glanced in surprise, never taking the parcel.
"You need energy to take care of your father" said the man because Kiara never accepted.
Still stunned, Kiara accepted the man's gift. He smiled thinly but mysteriously, then he left in front of Kiara.
Kiara's gaze could not be separated from the athletic back wrapped by the man's expensive black tuxedo, until he forgot something. When he woke up, he exclaimed.
"ah! I forgot to ask her name!" Then, glanced at the package, and looked at the contents.
Fast food and drink? It's just right that he said that.
Although the figure had disappeared, Kiara turned her head back at the end of the hall.
"Who is he? Is he papa's guest? Or the guy who destroyed papa's company?"
The man had been stamped like that in Kiara's brain all along. And he remembered that very second when he met the man again in this bed a month later.
Kiara, who had just regained consciousness after inhaling the anesthetic from the captors, found herself lying on this bed with a foreign man she met at that time.
He was stunned, suddenly woke up and inching backwards. But there is something more surprising than this. He realized that his body was covered in a white blanket.
"What's going on? My clothes? Where are my clothes?" panicked looking for her dress and underwear.
He found it lying carelessly and messily under the floor of the unfamiliar room. Hand grabbed her black dress that was right under this bed while holding the end of the blanket that covered her chest.
When Kiara was busy, the man opened his eyes. His lips covered the mysterious smile, then woke up without making a sound.
Finally, Kiara managed to pick up the dress, then clasped it tightly. Turned too. But he was surprised to look behind him, because the man's face was so close and right in front of his face.
The man smiled, looking at him fixedly as if he was aiming at his weak and frightened soft prey. Naturally Kiara was nervous, until she subconsciously distanced her body.[]
