Aslam Pov's
It was two o'clock when I decided to go home. The project promised to the client today was completed sooner than expected. Mario is really a reliable working partner. In addition, today's work is not too much. I can go home right now, see my wife right away. The anxiety that had been stirring my mind made me not focus on doing a presentation in front of a client.
Fortunately, the client understood my attitude when I told her that my wife was sick. And either because it has been his sustenance or because of sympathy for my anxiety towards Bening, making clients from India who are difficult to work with was finally impressed by our attitude and performance and decided to work together.
"Yo, I'm home first. I'm not calm if I stay clear for a long time." Put the files in the bag.
"OK, Lam. Go back to it. Cassian Cibey. He's gonna need some support from you." Mario's sad look. I know, right now he's gonna want to run see my wife.
"Okay, thanks, Yo. I'm back. Please handle everything first. Thanks for helping the presentation while waiting for me to come." Without even responding any longer I came out of my work space that felt crowded.
I ran, the sound of knocking from my shoes on the marble floor echoed in the hallway as I was about to head for the elevator.
Damn, why did this elevator go down for so long and immediately I thought it was better to have a room on the first floor when there were important moments like this then I could get out faster.
I drove my car quickly to the store. I want to take my wife to our most comfortable home. It's not like if we have to sleep again in the shop house, the house is just as comfortable. But if he's there, I'm afraid he's doing the job he used to and doesn't care about his health.
Like a madman, I kept grumbling and swearing in the streets. This feeling was like when Erina left me. But this is much worse when my wife does not leave me.
In an instant, I arrived at the shop courtyard. I saw a car I knew. Ah yes, I forgot something about the little boy that was troubling my wife. I don't hate that kid. I just don't like Bening's attention to taking care of other people's children. Even the boy impressed the dictator who fully claimed that Bening was his.
The rumbling feeling in my chest was thumping more and more. I keep wondering since when is Rudy's car parked there?
And why did the Yuni or Faith that I already believed in not tell me at all?
Soon, I get out of the car. I dribbled my feet to go faster. I opened the shop door, there was Yuni who gasped when she saw me. Wh why? Am I a ghost in the afternoon?
"M-mas Aslam," she's nervous.
"Yun, how's my wife doing?"
"Sir Cibey, he's..."
"MOM! GET OVER HERE!"
My attention was distracted when I heard the sound of a child screaming from inside. I looked at Yuni, asking in a gesture, and from the look on her face that looked clumsy, I felt that something was amiss.
"FIRE! Hurry up and catch Mami, HURRY!" Again, the scream became clearer.
Papi's? Mommy's? Did Rudy bring a new mother-to-be to his son?
I slowly walked into the pantry room. Yuni's movement seemed to want to prevent me, but felt completely wrong. The sound of the shop door opening. Faith that seems to have just arrived after delivering the order, feeling confused and wondering too.
"Bapi, let's quickly catch us and hug mami!"
The shout became clearer as I began to enter the pantry room. An unexpected sight right in front of my eyes. A grown man was chasing a woman and a small child who were circling the table. The tiny woman who looks cheerful behind the pale face and fatigue that many times he rubbed sweat on the temple and also his neck. And I know, it's cold sweat that doesn't feel good.
I fluttered in the doorway, clenching both my hands. And my emotions immediately peaked when I saw the man managed to catch both of his targets. Moreover, she clutched tightly to the woman who became my wife.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" My screams held back my anger.
The three men looked at him at the same time. And what's even more annoying is Rudy not letting go of his hug on my wife!
I walked quickly towards them. "Take this fucking hand off my wife's body!"
I took Rudy away rudely. Standing blocked my wife from the sight of the two people in front of her.
"What the fuck?" Looked at Rudy sharply.
"L-lam, it's not what you think it is." Rudy tried to explain.
"Mas." His hands clenched my arms, cold and sweaty. I almost put my fist on Rudy's face.
Many times I cursed in my heart. It was impossible to vent my frustration when my wife was sick. But I can't help myself. I turned to face my wife by tightening my molars.
"What are you doing, hm?" I grabbed my wife's shoulders, intimidated her. His shoulders feel hot.
"Didn't I say, if you have to rest? Why do you often argue about what you say? Can't you just recite what I said, huh?" Finally, I nagged and yelled at my wife who accidentally shook her shoulder.
"Om, why madamin mami? We'll play again. Papih has caught us and hugged Mami!" Byan exclaimed, challenging my frustration.
"Mommy?!" Pekiku.
"Yes, she's my mom!" Show it to the Bening. "Om evil! About nakutin mami Byan!"
"Byans." Rudy shook his head so that his son would not argue. "Lam, sorry I don't mean anything, really," he explained.
"Byan, don't tell my mom what you mean, Brother Bening?" Manya make sure. And the boy nodded.
Well, I can't speak. Walking back and forth while shuffling my hair then rubbing my face with a huff, feeling frustrated.
"Mas, I'm sorry, it's not their fault. I'm fine too, really," Defensively.
"What did you say?!" I'm getting frustrated. "Aren't you seeing your face as pale as what?" cupping both cheeks. "And your hands are cold, Yank!" Raised hand. "And this, your body is still hot!" check his body temperature.
"I'm fine, Mom." Clear refuted. "Today's order is also taken, so it's not too busy." Upset, I turned my face away and didn't know what to say. "Mas, let's go home..." Burning her body hugged me tightly.
Hot, her body feels hot. His breath sounded breathless. I can't grumble and be annoyed with her any longer. His embrace made me melt.
"Other times please don't argue anymore," I said gently stroking the hair of his head that was leaning against my chest. I returned his embrace with a depressed and possessive attitude. I'm really afraid someone's gonna take my wife.
"Om, don't hug mami!" Byan, the boy tried to keep us away with his tiny hands.
"Hey, she's not your mom!" I don't want to lose.
"She's my mama! Isn't that right, Papi?"
"Byan, don't be like that." Rudy shook his head so that his son would not overdo it.
"Sorry, Lam. We don't mean to go too far. That's Byan..."
"When have you been here?" I cut Rudy's words.
"You've been here a long time, too" my hiss held back in annoyance. "This means they arrive after they leave for the office. Is that right, Yank?" Bening hesitated. "And now it's afternoon, it means they..." I'm out of words. Escape from my wife's arms.
Like an insane person I walked back and forth confused and did not know the direction. I want to let go of my frustration. I looked at the people who were there. Including Yuni and Iman who turned out to witness our interaction.
"YUNE!!" Yeah, he's the only one I put my wife to him. Faith is delivering orders.
"Y-yes, Mas?" Yuni approached with tremors all over her body.
"Do you know what it means to keep the trust?"
"Y-yes, Mas." lowered his head, scared.
"SO WHY?!" I threw the spoon on the table in any direction.
Yuni tiptoed, I think everyone there felt shocked by my behavior.
"Pardon me, Mum." Yuni lowered her head even more.
"It's not Yuni's fault, Mas. My fault. I'm the one who is on the move because if silence just feels bad," refuted Bening defended Yuni.
"KEEP DEFENDING THOSE UNAWARE PEOPLE!" I snapped, lost my self-control.
"Om, don't get mad at me!!" Again, Byan called out to Bening with mami.
"Hurry and bring your son home from here, Rud!" My command hissing held in anger.
"WILL NOT! BYAN DON'T WANT TO GO HOME!" Byan's hysterical. He hugged Bening tightly.
"Byan, let's go home, son. Kasian Bening's brother is sick again. He's got to take a break, "persuade Rudy.
Ck, since when has Rudy been gentle with his son? As I recall he was still being tough on his own son. Was it because of my wife's influence that she became more fatherly and gentle?
"DON'T WANT TO, PAPIH! I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME! I want to stay here to protect my mom!" Byan insisted.
I was flinching in place. What a sight that makes me sick. They are like a family in a drama, where a child clinging tightly to his mother's waist, while the father crouches in front of them pleading and coaxing. They seem to protect each other from the threat of evil monsters whose cast is, I.
Well, I'm nothing right now!
"Byan baby, today we play it hopefully first well? We can play it again tomorrow. You love big brother, right?" This time it was clear that persuaded.
Yes, complete already. They are indeed compact parents who are persuading their children.
Many times I sighed and exhaled violently. I turned away. Don't want to see their closeness.
"Wouldn't! Byan still wants to be with mom! My mom is not my sister either! Byan wants to go home if mommy comes home too! Papih, let's get your mom from here!" Pulling a clear hand.
"BYAN, don't be like this!" Rudy raised his tone.
"Come on..mami come with Byan home!"
That kid is a bitch. He was tugging at my wife who was overwhelmed by his attitude.
"Byan, please come off. Brother's hand.." pinta Bening weakly.
"Bijan! Don't be like this. Brother Bening is in pain!" I said Rudy tried to break up.
"Wouldn't! When I get out, you're not gonna come with me!"
Rudy forced Byan to pull Bening who was not ready to scream in pain. Bening fell along with the sound of a loud bedebum on the dining table and then lying on the floor.
"Mommy!" Byans.
"Beep!" Rudy
"Mr Cibey!" Yuni and Faith.
"Darling!"
I ran, pulling Bening's body that had been in Rudy's lap. You idiot! Why wasn't I around him at the time!
"Yank, wake up Yank," I panicked at that moment. "Darling!"
His face paled, his body temperature was hot. But his palms were so cold many times I patted him on the cheek hoping that he would come to his senses.
"Mommy..." Byan crying.
"SHE'S NOT YOUR MOM, BYAN!" I screamed, forgetting that what was being faced was a child.
"You'd better take Byan home, Rud!" My love holds my rage.
"Yank, wake up Yank. Baby, please...!" I vibrate. I swear, I was so scared and scared to watch him keep shut without reacting.
"Lam, but..."
"Please get out of here, Rud. I beg you."
"OK, Lam. Again I'm sorry because I really don't know if Bening is sick anymore. And I don't mean anything by mami's call" he explained.
"Go!" Really, I don't want to hear any explanation right now!
Rudy went with Byan who kept whining to see Bening. I immediately lifted up the body of my weak and weak wife, put her in the car accompanied by Yuni and took her to the hospital. While Iman I told him to guard his shop.
I hope it's okay...
I hope it's okay...
Steady, Honey...
Seeing my wife drooping on Yuni's lap, many times, in the speed of my car, I shook and chanted the sentence like a mantra.
