Marrying the Killer of my Girlfriend

Marrying the Killer of my Girlfriend
DON'T GO

“Selena.”

I gasped at the soft voice in my ear.

When I came to, I was daydreaming in the middle of a fake therapy I prepared for Josh Rainer.

Daydreaming Dio.

And the sound that woke me up from the daydream was Josh Rainer's.

He whispered to continue our communication through a small blackboard and marker that I carried specifically to interact with him. There were a lot of cameras watching us.

“Do not go.”

He wrote me that message again.

Makes me feel sad again.

There is a sense of happiness when someone asks me not to go anywhere.

Feelings are needed to stay.

Just like the old feeling when Dio wanted me to be his wife.

But this is different.

Josh needed me to save his life.

After that, we will definitely not be in contact anymore.

I'm going to get on with my life and so is Josh Rainer.

Is that right, right?

Before giving me the marker, he wrote again.

“If all this is done, you stick with me?”

I digested the writing with mixed feelings.

What does it mean that he still needs a personal doctor?

I took the marker and replied to him.

“You're healthy, don't need me”

He looked sad to see my answer.

It was so grim that I never recognized the disappointed expression he displayed today.

I then wrote again to remind her that she should not mope like that.

“You have Becca who will take care of you right?”

He then looked at me quickly and shook his head.

"Isn't he your girlfriend?"

I confirmed what I had wanted to do a long time ago.

Josh seemed to think hard and then replied again. I just realized doing scribbles in silence. Forgot that there was an audio eavesdropper in this room listening to our conversation.

“Josh you are smart, let's get a little more,” I said fake

He then wrote a reply for me, not answering my curiosity at all.

“The man last night was your girlfriend?”

When he handed me the marker, Josh Rainer couldn't hide the tinge on his red cheeks.

Josh Rainer noticed my moves last night?

And he shyly asked me this?

“Well, now we change the sentence yes. Write me like to play the violin,” I shouted while writing an original reply to her.

“I've told you my boyfriend is already in heaven?”

I don't know why my heart is beating waiting for a reply.

“Sorry."

He only answered that one word.

I smiled at him, saying no problem. However, I could not believe that he seemed dissatisfied and kept asking.

“Who is he?”

Why is Josh so curious about the details of the people closest to me?

And why did Josh know that I was with Gery last night?

Is he peeping at us?

I immediately reply to him.

“He works at your place and I've taken him like my brother.”

He smiled at me, not looking at his grim face anymore.

With all the strangeness that Josh does, there's no way he's jealous right?

Yeah, it's impossible. He's got Becca on the road with him.

There's no way he's gonna like me in two weeks, right?

After that, he quickly replied.

“I don't know Becca”.

I'm aghast.

“You didn't lose your memory, did you?”

He laughed in silence. Unexpectedly, Josh Rainer now clasped my hand while looking at me cheerfully.

He then shook his head and let go of my hand. He's back to grab the marker.

“Of course not, Doctor. I remember exactly when I was born.”

“I know it hurts when my mom leaves me.”

“I remember last year I went skiing with my grandmother.”

“I remember everything.”

I'm looking at confusion.

So, what did Becca mean last time?

Is Becca lying again?

So what exactly is Becca's relationship with the Gurnawijaya family?

Then, Josh went back to writing something on the board.

“I also remember your sad face when we first met at the hospital.”

While I was still thinking about Becca's connection to this family, my heart rippled at those words.

I smiled at him.

He went back to writing.

“Now you are not sad anymore.”

I'm not sad anymore?

Maybe it's more appropriate that I forget how saddened by all the problems that come to me.

Tok.dok..

The noise at the door disturbed us. The housekeeper who had delivered breakfast for me had brought a morning meal for Josh Rainer.

I picked up a tray from the pushtable he was carrying and then fed Josh Rainer that morning.

We interacted a lot throughout the day. Mostly I told him about the details of yesterday when I talked to his grandmother, the alleged embezzlement of money by Celine to what it was like when she was poisoned by Diana.

There's nothing I cover up. We told stories without any boundaries.

And one that I realized from our writing-writing talk. I'm so happy to get back to telling stories after Dio left my life.

New friends to share stories other than with Gery, Anna and Becca.

However, I caught a different thing when I asked about the details of the incident she had in an accident.

He again showed a grim face.

“I can't tell you now.”

The answer disappointed me a little. I was very honest with him about everything that happened. But he doesn't trust me enough.

When I wanted to close our therapy that afternoon, suddenly my phone was embroidered.

From Gery.

“Sorry I had to lift it,” I said to Josh Rainer and moved away towards the balcony.

I don't want our private conversation to be bugged by Celine either.

“What's up?” I asked Gery.

“Whose name is Sister Diana, her stature is short and a bit stocky, right? Rich style socialite?” gery asked excitedly.

“Kok know?” I said confused.

Gery sniffs at the end of the phone.

“I also did not expect, he was newly appointed as a special staff of Ms. Celine, as a commissioner in our company.”

“For what!"

My whole body is lunglai. My brain rippled back to think about what else Celine would do and hope that all the bad things would end soon.
